    INGREDIENTS
    1 onion, chopped
1 1/4 lb. Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
    1 tsp. oregano
    kosher salt
    Freshly ground black pepper
2 cans cream of chicken soup
    2 c. low-sodium chicken broth
    4 sprigs thyme
    1 bay leaf
    2 stalks celery, chopped
    2 carrots, chopped
    1 c. frozen peas, thawed
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan, for garnish optional)
    2 tbsp. chopped parsley
    DIRECTIONS
    1. To the bowl of a large slow cooker, add onion in an even layer in the bottom of the bowl and place chicken breasts on top. Add oregano and season with salt and pepper.
    2. Pour soup and chicken broth on top then add the thyme and bay leaf. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours, or until the chicken is cooked through.
    3. Discard thyme and bay leaf, then shred the cooked chicken with two forks. Stir in celery, carrots, peas and garlic.
    4. Cut biscuits into small pieces. Top the chicken mixture with the biscuits and cook on high for another hour, until the vegetables are tender and the biscuits are cooked through and chicken reaches an internal temperature of 170° F.
    5. Garnish with Parmesan and parsley and serve.

I made this last night and I'm eating the leftovers right now. When it comes to cooking the biscuits, make sure your crockpot is on HIGH, and put paper towels over the top, right under the lid, and maybe change them out a couple times depending on how much moisture they catch.

Literally the best thing ever. Quick to whip up! I substitute the veggies in this recipe for corn and, no onions for my husband. It’s so good and, we prefer over traditional chicken and dumplings. Also, I’m a little more heavy handed on the seasonings. It’s a must to try!

Your video was quick and a great inspiration. I cooked this meal tonight and oh my it is amazing. I replaced a couple of items. First I cooked a Cornish hen seasoned with your seasonings as well as cinnamon paprika, red pepper flakes, & jamaican curry. I used 1 can of cream of chicken and 1 can of cream of mushroom in addition to the broth . Cooked for 3.5 hours then while cooling & shredding it I dropped in 3 cut up potatoes and sausage. Next I placed the chicken in with spring green onions and kept it on high for 1.5 hours. Finally I added my biscuits , cooked for approx 1.5 hours then added parm cheese and parsley on top 😛

The biscuits aren’t supposed to be completely firm. They’re supposed to be golden and crisp on the top, and as horrible as the word sounds; “goopy” underneath. I’ve made this a few times and it’s been a hit 😊

The biscuits does take longer than an hour as mention by someone in the comments . Oh and I used skinless , boneless chicken thighs instead of chicken breast.

Use half the broth specified, meaning use just 1 cup or even less. The chicken will give off plenty of juices so thats why it ends up soupy. Also, drop the biscuits in 1.5 hours prior to ending the cook time. Bisquick taste better than the canned dough, if you are like me and don't want buy a whole box of that just for this recipe Bisquick also has $1 pouches available at the grocery store. Each one makes 8 biscuits, i always buy 2 pouches. Mix one pouch as directed and drop in on top of the stew by the teaspoon. The second pouch is for leftovers purposes.

Okay so tried the paper towel trick with little to no luck and was swapping paper towels every 5 minutes. Very wasteful. Put the biscuits in the crock pot for 45-55 minutes depending on how long you have the lid off putting all the rest of the ingredients in.. (letting all the heat out) after cooking the biscuits for 45-55 minutes, throw it in the oven on broil for 3- 5 minutes. Browns the top perfectly! Keep an eye on the broil tho because they’ll burn quickly if left too long. Enjoy!
