1-2 lb chicken breasts, trimmed (2-3 chicken breasts depending on size)

Jenn this smelled AMAZING cooking. I used Bell's Seasoning for my poultry seasoning, and about 6 decent size chicken thighs (prefer it to breasts) but used all the other same ingredients you did. I wanted to see how it would turn out made in the pressure cooker so I made this in my Crock Pot Express Cooker (or Instant Pot if you have that one instead). I did mine for 25 minutes on high pressure, it came out amazing! Thanks for sharing.♥

I am 71 years young and believe me, I have cooked mashed potatoes many, many times. I have found that boiling the potatoes cooks away a lot of the flavor and the potatoes themselves....try this. I take my double boiler that has a steamer basket that I put the potatoes in (they stay out of the water, so they do not "boil" away. All the flavor stays intact.), when they are tender, dump potatoes into a bowl or the bottom part of the double boiler (after pouring the water out of course}, then add your butter, milk and seasonings and mash as you would with your mixer. I use lots of butter because my family loved the creamy texture (I also use real butter, not margarine). Hope you will give this a try....enjoyed your video. Happy cooking.

I modified it some, I cut the garlic powder to 1/2 tsp, added some chopped celery and onions and when the chicken was almost done I added a can of peas and carrots. After a few minutes I shredded the chicken and put it back in and set the cooker on high, I mixed up an envelope of bisquick buttermilk biscuit mix and added it by soup spoons once the pot came up to a simmer. I let it cook till the dumplings were done about 15 minutes, turns out great.

A little bit of "Pumpkin pie spice" (which is a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger) is very good on the butternut squash too.

Jenn, I made your recipe for our Sunday dinner. All I can say is, "It was incredible!" My son's ate 2 huge plates. I didn't make the potatoes. Instead I made rice. It took less than 5 mins for prep. I put 4 chicken breasts in my crock pot and cooked it for 7 hrs. The chicken was so tender. It just broke apart and the gravy was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing your recipe. :)

Instead of instant garlic, I throw a whole, peeled clove of garlic in to cook with the potatoes; it melts in when mixed. I also salt the water (as I would with pasta) instead of adding afterward. Your chicken recipe looks tasty and I loved watching and listening to your video.
