I love watching expert cobblers perform their magic. This was the most extensive refurbishment I have ever seen. Those uppers were torn and otherwise trashed. You put it all together and in some ways actually made the boots better. They must be real expensive to replace in France. I'm sure the customer will be thrilled.
Thank you for your kind words! We seriously love our job. Putting a new life and more years to spare for this boots! These kind of comments push us to keep going and be better! God Bless you!
Fascinating, hypnotic and strangely satisfying watching this master craftsman ply his trade. In the mid-1980's I had a beautiful pair of Irish Setter Moc-Toe hunting boots used for work. Wore them out. Wish I would have had them re-built before they were destroyed from wear.
*According to Wijsman Cobbler, the customer wanted it for sentimental purposes and it's totally ok! People can do what they want, and I know this isn't for everyone. But it's really nice cobblers like this one can accommodate people for sentimental purposes, for those who really want to do it 😊!*
Fantastic craftsmanship! What kind of glue do you prefer for a job like this? I either use Masters Quick Dry All Purpose Cement or Renia Colle de Cologne.
*I've seen many use Renia and prefer that since they think it's pretty strong. I wish you the best with your work! You all do amazing work and it's so cool learning about the tools you all use 😊!*
Hi! @youdoneedmyname We always do work with our customer’s accordance. This is his request for us to restore his boots sometimes it’s not the money anymore but it’s the sentimental value and fyi this is only less than 200€.
Surely, as you the owner of the boots would be the best person to be aware of cost of new pair. Owner decided to pay for restoration and cobbler's job is to fix, is it not?
*I see your point about being too far gone. However, Wijsman Cobblers said in the comments the boots are very sentimental to the customer. There's that reason for resoling as well 😊 It's nice of them to resole for sentimental purposes. I know it's not for everyone. People can do whatever they want. Not everyone would do this, but it's nice that cobblers can do this for people, for sentimental purposes for those who do want it 😊*

Amazing Job ... Your a True Artist.
Top!
Awesome work again. Keep posting these same types of detailed videos. It's always reassuring to see that the recraft of the boots is at its finest.

Я подозреваю, что именно оттуда они и появились. 😂

You did a super job at repairing these Moc toe boots
Thank you! Cheers!
Does the cost of labor and materials justify for it? Maybe a new 877 will be better
Very impressive!
Amazing job
Nice work
Humm, how much did you charge for this work ?
Excelente!!!!
It seems more logical to buy a new pair of boots, but it's better to repair and keep wearing them. Just like dad's old car. :D
Thats how to do it 💪👌
What’s your location
And they only charge 150$
I’m all about having quality resoleable boots but these are too far gone. You could buy two new pair for what you are gonna charge that poor customer.

저정도면 이제 그만 보내줘야지...대단하다
Waste of money those boots were trash there’s shoe 👞 stores out there we’re in Century 21
slm🎖👏❤🇲🇦🌷
Waste of money
Не могу поверить, что реанимация этого помойного хлама обошлась дешевле покупки новых ботинок....

Let us all feel sorry for things we can not fix and be grateful for those we can give longer life.
