Mikko. You're a natural at finding creative and lyrical ways exercises using the bebop language. I believe you could literally go on with even more ideas. Really effective exercises that develop your ears and fingers. Thank you. This was great fun and I also came across my own ideas with your inspiration while watching you develop your themes. 👏 👏 👏 Your teaching/inspiring us to teach and grow ideas too.
Great lesson, always nice to dive in Barry Harris stuff.. In case of a lydian dominant chord, let s say D7#11, I'd play Amelodic min if i want to hear that #11, the thing is that by doing so the D note happen NOT to be on the strong beat but the III' and VII' are definitely there, so I think it works pretty well
Mikko, great lessons, really enjoy your book reviews, esp. Brett Wilmott's "Harmony, Theory & Voicing". I wonder if you could look at some more chapters. Also, talk about some of the non-music books on your bookshelf. The "other" Mikko, the reader!

That's a col idea but it would probably confuse my audience. It would have a different channel. Plus I'm not sure I qualify to do book reviews.
