Interesting. Could you please expand this test, with a gold ring, silver and copper coin around 9 inch deep, in both your hot soil (and not hot soil if possible)? That is demanding but you are the guru
True VDI might well be added in a future Deus 2 update as an extra option for mono frequencies. My Rutus Alter 71 has that option as well, I can choose between normalized (all freq normalized to 12 kHz) or true VDI.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak Hey paystreak be careful man when you talking at 12mins you can see your car numberplate in background. You dont want undersirebles to come to your house or know where you live. I know most people on here like you but one time you did show a tonne of gold rings you found and it only takes one bad apple. Loving the videos man and love that you post so many you have a true passion for metal detecting. Have you ever tried using the deus 2 on the beach ?.
What I don't like about non-normalized tones on the deus 1 HF coil in 30 or 70 khz is that it feels like everything is pushed up way to high, like everything is crammed into a few vdi numbers at the highest end of the scale
👍Haven’t received my Deus 2 Yet, but I am also hoping XP comes out with HF coil for the D2. Totally agree with your thoughts about HF coil for the future.
Show us the goods man !!!!… you got so many videos to go through to see what you dug over time ya no … shows us all those Ryker cases I love to see them .
I have very high iron and magnetic soil in my garden and the Nox beats the Deus 1 both using the 9.5x5 elliptical coils. The Nox was hitting real low conductor targets but the Deus 1 just found foil. And the Nox works ten times better than the deus 1 on the beach. So I ain’t selling my Nox yet but look forward to trying a Deus II and a Legend. Agree the 9.5x5 coils really work on small items and getting between iron. I would like to see depth tests with the D1 vs the D2 in your soil. Very useful vids. 👍🏻
So in my years of hunting, low tones have always been rings, foil, nickels and pull tabs while silver and such gives higher pitch the way I like it. If you could separate tones from the foil and rings and such then you have a winner but with you making the ring sound off with a high tone you have also made all the other stuff ring high with it so what's the point?
@@PaystreakSuperfreak yes I've seen the coins and silver rings give high tones but not the gold ones. I'll have to mess around more with my deus to get gold rings to also give high tones.
The high square tones, full tone volume bends and the tonal offset make the Deus 2 so so so much better than the older Deus 2 versions. All the Deus 2 needs is a small coil. The Deus 2 tones are much more adjustable than the Deus 1. The learning curve for the Deus 2 is much longer than the Deus 1.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak how is the pwm , I found the square more simplified in the audio , I would be getting the d2 lite version if I was to pick one up again. I have been using the manti and it has shown me that a screen can really put you off, I’ve paid for a fancy screened machine and I don’t use it 🥴😂 I trust the all metal tones in all tones , after digging everything for 50 hours on the manti that screen lies, especially in mineralised ground and highly populated iron areas
@HistoryRevisitedUK I do not prefer the PWM on the Deus 2. The high square audio gives more feedback on the iron and minerals than the square tones. A more simplified audio does unmask much better than a "busy audio". Pitch tones uses less audio processing therefore unmasking much better than the other tonal options.
It really matters on the site. I really like program 3 for general coin and jewelry hunting and program 4 for hunting around iron. I have been experimenting with many programs. Stock programs work great.
If the Deus 2 comes out with a small elliptical hf coil I may sell my D1. Nothing beats that D1 coil on small jewelry yet. The high frequencies can get through very high EMI and does very well on small targets.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak thanks i just got bigger coil for the nox so gonna try that soon if elliptical hf comes up at ok price i be tempted then i use 11x35 on it so far

I sure hope the mono program will have non-normalized options with higher frequency coils.

Beach sensitive may hit the small low conductors better with the deus 2
I will have to test that.

Foil gives low tones and gold rings and coins give high tones in the higher frequencies on the XP Deus 1 in full tones.

Have you tried the expert option on frequency shift, Jeremy.
On 74khz the highest shift on mine will take it to over 80khz.
The elliptical hits it very well in 80khz too.
so basically, if you set higer freq then gold sounds higher tone and foil stays at the same low tone?
Gold and foil will read up higher. And the higher frequencies will overload on the lower conductors easier.
yo yo yo,,, good info
alright J .do you think now with the fulltone shift of the d2 now meets what you was showing here with the d1

So based on your experience so far, what programs would you recommend using when going out for hunts?
It really matters on the site. I really like program 3 for general coin and jewelry hunting and program 4 for hunting around iron. I have been experimenting with many programs. Stock programs work great.
Did you try those 2 rings with the HF 9” round coil?
I did. The 9" hits low midtone on the small ring in 54khz and the medium ring hits high tone in 54khz.
So would you just buy the mini hf coil then instead of deus 2 ?
If the Deus 2 comes out with a small elliptical hf coil I may sell my D1. Nothing beats that D1 coil on small jewelry yet. The high frequencies can get through very high EMI and does very well on small targets.
