I enjoy these "philosophical" discussions. This type of discussion confirms my technical opinions of these machines and enhances my technical understanding. Thank You.
I just got my Legend and took it out for the first time yesterday. I totally killed the coins, and even got two rings in an iron-infested hunted-out park in only two hours! The separation was great, even with the 11" coil, but I still hate those square tabs! I was a White's and Tesoro only guy for years, but I really love the performance of the three Nokta machines that I now have (Also the Gold Kruzer and the Anfibo.)
Congratulations on the ongoing UA-cam success mate. People enjoy your honest discussions. Looking forward to seeing you pull out some of the older machines for a swing. 😊 PS. I agree, the best detector out there is the one you most enjoy using, and that will vary for everybody. 😁
Enjoyed this clip! Awesome content and very honest reviews. I was very close to getting the 800, but went with the D2 after hours of watching videos on different detectors. You seemed to have the most non influenced opinion of the different companies and detectors. The good and bad and the fact that all these units have pros send cons. Different styles and places require different features of different machines. Appreciate your great reviews 👍
I'm hoping to be well enough health wise to get back in the Detecting game in the next few months. I haven't owned a detector in several years the last 2 I owned was a Tesero Stingray and a Whites Spectrum XLT. I'm going to go with the Legend I'm so looking forward to getting back into Detecting it's the one Hobby I really miss that started with my Teknetics in the 80"s.
The Deus 1 is still a top machine. Here in a ploughed field group dig I was on in the UK a Deus 1 with the 9” round coil pulled up 3 hammered silver coins which was the best haul of the day. So coil size and type can be critical. Soil conditions vary quite a lot even on the same farm over here. The 9 inch was obviously just the right one for optimum lightness and depth in those conditions. The Deus 1 is lighter than the Deus 2 so that is also a deciding factor for me. I still like the Nox because it is a really good beach machine. I have not had any reliability issues with the Nox but My Deus headphones were away for repair for the last two weeks. Minelab not answering emails is an issue though. We keep learning. 👍👍👍
I don't always agree with your opinions on different things but I ALWAYS RESPECT YOUR HONESTY. Just like different detectors are better suited to different environments makes them impossible to be assessed by a detectorist whos type of hunting sites varies from other detectorists. Opinions on various detectors will obviously vary greatly.
I flooded my legend at the Beach on vacation. I purchased a Nox 800 on Market Place to finish the week. They are side by side with performance but wow that vdi is on point on the Nox. Currently waiting to see what Nokta sending me for warranty. Its been almost two weeks.
Don't worry, you're pretty brutal to detect, I like it, and in fact it's what we take, or rather bring home, not only materially speaking but emotionally, going out to detect is meditating!!! I like your videos well.
Hey Jeremy! I've been watching tons of the content you've posted practically daily since a month ago when I found you on UA-cam. I appreciate your videos. You're a prolific hunter for sure. I weight towards your guidance with detectors now. Nothing is more proof than proficiency and hours put into a machine. I'm a deus 1 and deus 2 person. I hope the 2 update is great. After your review of the .6b version update I decided to stay stock because I belive what you said about the issue with the machine being too sparky afterwards! Updates can mess stuff up let's face it. I appreciate your honesty man!! This was a heart felt video for detectorist. Sorry for the bs trolls and controversy you have to deal with being a public detectorist figure in the world. I'm sure you get it no doubt. I look foward to future content.
FOR THE PRICE OF THE Deus 2, xp should have people employed to test in the field, and not depend on end user to find the bugs in new updates, they had the same problems with the Deus 1 after update 3.1
Maybe some day I might buy a Legend.. Or a Deus or a CTX or a Quest or the ORX. But I am still enjoying using the Vanquish and 600. There is So many Detectors and they all have there Pros/Cons.. Happy Hunting and I hope you score some more gold..
I loved my older machines just like I do with my current machines. The older machine were a bit heavier and not as fast as the newer ones, but they still worked. My first metal detector took 14 AA batteries and had a intensity meter on it, Yikes I am given away something here
The fact that this is even a question for many speaks volumes regards Nokta with the legend being half the price of the Deus. I keep seeing the Legend being compared to the high-end priced machines, when typically machines at mid-range prices don't often feature in the conversation with the best. Also updates have greatly improved the Legend recently. Both are great but the Legend has no right to be as good at that price point.
Jeremy, do only whites 4 filter machines work in your ground? If not, did you ever use a Mark One? It’s 1-2 filter (automatic). Here in our good ground, the Mark One really opened up our relic sites years ago. It was awesome on coins, awesome target ID, best ever analog tone ID, but not super fast recovery in iron, not a bad ground detector from what I recall? We adapted the 3-4” whites coil and it would sniff out buttons and coins in homesite’s

Hey Streak, I’m experiencing EMI issues too, Calabash seems to not have the same issues with EMI. Yesterday I went back to my test spot for relics. Finally had to use deus 2 mono, around 17 khz then believe I did offset? Best I could do, I did hit a nice 54 caliber Spencer cartridge measured 13” down, which isn’t bad but we have really mild ground so I think the Deus 3.2 w/11” coil would have picked it up better in this place. It started out as a peeper, scraping dirt off to get a real signal. I love Deus brand just hoping for better EMI elimination. As I mentioned before , the CTX 3030 could noise cancel here and run from 27-30, the best, modern detector to cancel EMI. I’m holding off doing any updates since you said it hurt performance. Question; on the legend, for now, do you say do the updates or not? Thanks
I know exactly what u mean about using the pitch tones in a tot lot on the deus 2 hahaha. First tot lot video, I used stock fast program. Second tot lot video I built a program off the fast program still using the pitch. And wow. Think I'm gonna try full tones or something else. May do a mono program for a tot lot. Thank you for all ur honest videos. Much respect 🤜💥🤛
Hey, so the Deus 2 is outside of my price range, but I really like the Legend. *Between the Legend and a used ETrac, which one would you prefer???* I hunt mainly freshwater beaches, relics, parks etc. but am liking going into water lately.. Any help is greatly appreciated. Have opportunity on a used ETrac with two coils, but really like Legend and it’s waterproof etc.. Thanks 🙏
Here is my take on that question. I used the Etrac for about 18 months and found lots of silver with it...but I found lots of silver with many other machines and that is when silver was everywhere in parks. The Etrac is very heavy, not waterproof, takes 8 AA batteries and can be very difficult to learn if you are new to detecting. The processor and recovery speed on the Etrac is very very slow so you will have to swing very slow but the weight prevents you from swinging fast anyway. The Etrac is superb on deep silver coins IF THERE REALLY IS ANY MORE SILVER COINS OUT THERE. The first time you drop your Etrac into the water...GAME OVER!! The Etrac has many coil options available but parts and coils will be hard to find and very expensive. Etrac is a durable machine but I do not think it will be able to handle modern trashy parks. The Etrac is going to be very expensive for batteries if you use it a lot. To simplify my answer, the Legend is waterproof, durable and does not take expensive AA batteries. The Legend has a warranty and an Etrac does not.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak *Sir, that answer just won you a new SUB! Thank you kindly!* I’ve been detecting for about 10 years but had to take a break, due to health issues.. Am coming back now slowly and yes, your nice and detailed answer confirms what I had in mind, especially the water proof part. I’ve had multiple Tesoro’s, multiple Garrets, and currently run an old old Whites Classic 3 Plus, with the 950 deep scan coil. It’s ok, found 3 rings and 2 ear rings this week (probably one of my better weeks), but at the same time, I got lucky, I hit jackpot on a school park that hadn’t been cleaned, and of course they were all junker rings and ear rings. But I’ve found gold and silver with it before. Only problem is that the Whites does NOT go deep, at all! It’s in absolute MINT condition but not good performance! And also not waterproof and you use 3x 9Volts haha. Anyway, I appreciate your response, and I’ll keep watching you being you and teaching what you pick up! Helps the community tremendously
The lowest we run our recovery on the Legend is 7 and that is pushing it. The Legend works fantastic at 9 and 10 recovery speed for what we are doing in out highly mineralized soil. All soils are different so you might be able to go down to 4 recovery if you swing very slow and going for deep targets and you have mild soil. EVERY SOIL IS DIFFERENT!!
I am a Deus swinger... Not sure I want a new $1600 machine... Sounds like I need an Eliptical to go with my 9" X35 and 11x13 X35..... I really wanted the new deus2.... but..... Maybe after the 7 update. Ive had me a bit of a run around with WS5 headphones lately(1.5yrs) Moe is fixxing me tho. I think My deus and my custom Coin settings and that HF eliptical will be just right
The small coils are much better for jewelry. Big coils are for going deep. Big coil will not cover more ground for near surface targets. Big coils are much harder to pinpoint with.
I’m playing with a D2 right now, and I’ve not updated the firmware. I won’t update it until the firmware gels a little bit more..I find the D2 a lot more daunting to use over my Apex. I have not warmed up to the Deus, yet. Maybe the D2 will find more stuff than the Apex, maybe it won’t. If it doesn’t, it’s gone. Keep Digging, J.
I used the Teknetics and they work well but not waterproof. Legend and Deus are way more durable than the Teknetics machines. G2 may work well if you hunt just a few hours per week. Alkaline batteries get very very expensive if you hunt every day.
You should still be able to re-update your D2 back to it’s original software….. you may have to contact them , it the original setup worked better. 🇺🇸😃🇺🇸
I watched this video twice. I must be one dumb *** because I cannot figure out the answer. At the end of the video it turned into comments about UA-cam success - which I want for him. I love watching his videos. I am not by any means trying to be a "hater" but does the Dues II win or is it what metal detector you like to swing? Thank you all.
This video was from over a year ago. Both the Legend and D2 have had software updates and these detectors are much different now. We have learned a lot about those machines in the last year. My thoughts change on detectors all the time and I am always willing to learn something new every time I go out detecting.
I have been in communication with XP and the v.7 will be launched soon to remedy some instabilities some end users have been experiencing with v.62 and v.63 updates. If v.7 does not do well, I will be reverting back to v.61. All machines need some tweaking after released to end users. XP will figure it out soon.
Hey partner your getting popular, why your sitting on your dam porch like an early settler speaking simple, no bullshit , your a regular folk don’t change and you will be top 10 on detecting.
I really don't understand, in the video you posted on March 16th Nokta Legend 6 "coil vs Deus 2 elevated nail over coins test, you clearly said that no metal detector would get the results of the deus 2 in the trash / modern trash obviously talking about separation of the targets ... now in this video 12 days later you say that the deus 2 doesn't work well in the trash like the deus 1 and the legend .... I just don't understand why talking about the equinox and the deus 1 in a video between the deus 2 and the legend @Paystreak Superfreak
The new update on the D2 is struggling in my hot soil big time. Maybe this next update will change that. If not...I will go back to D2 v.61. Elevated nail tests are not the real world. Deus machines are still superior in the iron.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak sorry for my english, therefore in real search among the trash, among the iron, bottle caps etc .. "in the real world" with the right update the deus 2 with 9 coil is superior to the nox and the legend with 6 small coils much more suitable for working in those environments--is that so??? ps: try the recovery of the golden mask 6 with coils of 5 and 7 in the trash I think you will be surprised at the separation of the targets
For a few weeks now I have been watching all your videos with great pleasure and taste, both when you are in "action" or when, hungry, you get ready and gulp down those "terrifying" sandwiches filled with colorful harlequin colors, or when you talk "off the cuff" , like now, for 17 fat minutes. I read the comments of your voyeurs, like me, who are equal to you for wit. I also have to ask you a couple of things. The first is that you were the first to test the Nokta Legend, on the dry and wet beach, with plate 6 ". The second (somewhat intimate): among the" beloved lovers "of your rich Harem, who is the your favorite that you take you to ... bed? Greetings from the south of Sicily, to everyone!
X Terra Pro, Don't be fooled by the price. EMI amazing engineering feat. Bottlecaps you mentioned, try this. P. modes Horseshoe, search in 15kz check in 5kz. Search in 5kz check in 15kz. They 3 types of bottlecaps either rattle or fly all over the meter. Aluminum is somewhat the same but in Park 1 itself is an audio sort of discernable rejection and the meter. Testing in the trash has produced beyond extreme success in trash reduction. 8 sensitivity is nearing +4.5 " deep for the tests. I'm getting insane results. Yeah, I know younearly a foot deep at 20 21 sensitivity. I tested a double 2 notch window in P.1 and swung a terror fast pace with tight overlaps and the machine hit both windows hard as a freight train. It does the faintest tone with the tiniest wiggle thingy too. Iron? No iron problems. You didn't like the handle? Put a piece of a sponge under the meter box. Dude, this machine is minimalistic tech genius if you have experience and can understand the language and know how to fine tune. You don't have to dig up all rhat trash like you are doing. In shoet, it pains me to watch you dig up so much trash. Wish you luck.
Deus 2 is total disaster. It's crackling peeping squeak, cant GB well, cant memories it and so on. As whole MF is a disaster. There is no theory to make it well if you dont cut off the deepest and questioned signals which causing always an iron sound. On all freq! But whats the point when you loose depth. Total disaster! I'm telling it from a point of hunter with 5-6 years with D1 and average 2-3 days per week hunting 8 hours per day! calculated if you can. Try to use it on single freq. 13-25 can do smtg. D1 v3.1 was the best one. Nevertheless XP, they spoiled it on later stage. Probably they intentionally did it when started the updated only online. Gotcha them coz did alot of test before that.
Glad to know XP is actually listening to their customer base and getting issues worked out.

Thank you for all ur honest videos. Much respect 🤜💥🤛
Will XP ever make the D2 backwardly compatable with the HF coils?
Hey, so the Deus 2 is outside of my price range, but I really like the Legend.
*Between the Legend and a used ETrac, which one would you prefer???*
I hunt mainly freshwater beaches, relics, parks etc. but am liking going into water lately..
Thank you kindly!*
I’ve been detecting for about 10 years but had to take a break, due to health issues..
I would however like to know which you’d swing between the Equinox and legend
How you feel about pitch tones for deep targets in field , 3-4recovery what kHz would you use?
The lowest we run our recovery on the Legend is 7 and that is pushing it. The Legend works fantastic at 9 and 10 recovery speed for what we are doing in out highly mineralized soil. All soils are different so you might be able to go down to 4 recovery if you swing very slow and going for deep targets and you have mild soil. EVERY SOIL IS DIFFERENT!!
Hated the nox. Legend is far superior in every category, imo. Still prefer my old etrac though!
What we waiting from 0.7? XP also add some features?
I am a Deus swinger... Not sure I want a new $1600 machine... Sounds like I need an Eliptical to go with my 9" X35 and 11x13 X35..... I really wanted the new deus2.... but..... Maybe after the 7 update.
Ive had me a bit of a run around with WS5 headphones lately(1.5yrs) Moe is fixxing me tho. I think My deus and my custom Coin settings and that HF eliptical will be just right
Wat do ya think about the legend with the 6 inch coil I’ve bin finding a lot of rings with it in spot that if mused with the stock head
Missed
The small coils are much better for jewelry. Big coils are for going deep. Big coil will not cover more ground for near surface targets. Big coils are much harder to pinpoint with.
if you want to sell any of the umax high tone tesoros i would be interested in those
Thank you!
I love metal detectors. 😊👍🦀
Me too!
Do a give away like a gold dog turd lol or a pic of you and Jim having fun. I watch all your videos
What kind of sites are you going to?

Would you ever consider selling some of your detectors you have stored away??
Curious to know how the G2 plus works on you're soil. I've heard they are really calm in residential emi areas,,is depth an Issue?
I used the Teknetics and they work well but not waterproof. Legend and Deus are way more durable than the Teknetics machines. G2 may work well if you hunt just a few hours per week. Alkaline batteries get very very expensive if you hunt every day.
What do you think of whites 5900 di pro
Where do you see yourself using your simplex now that you have the Legend?
Ask xp to sort the tones out on the hot programme there still crap on the D2
Fulltones dont really work on the D2!
Do you prefer the 9 in. or 11 in. coil on the Deus 2?
You should still be able to re-update your D2 back to it’s original software….. you may have to contact them , it the original setup worked better. 🇺🇸😃🇺🇸
my detector is the best haha ill dial around you like walking the dog have a great night.
Can't xp just ship you out asap a deus2 remote without the updates like you really liked on your first videos?
V7 coming soon and I will be getting the older version from them too.
@@PaystreakSuperfreak holy cow thats awesome, you deserve it, you got me so hooked, Eventually I'll get a life.
Deus 2 +- 1600 euro, the legend 900 euro quality almost same, give me the legend.
I got about 20 hours on my legend and have 8 silvers already.
Hello Mr Metal Detector Hoarder. 😃
A detector is only as good or bad as the person who's using it
I watched this video twice.
Use your X,Y screen and you will have very easy time finding your right targets
Not in our mineralized ground. XY screen and VDI is useless in our soil.
Needless to say, xp deus it’s not fair but that’s the truth
I heard the fix for the Deus 2 is out have you heard anything
I have been in communication with XP and the v.7 will be launched soon to remedy some instabilities some end users have been experiencing with v.62 and v.63 updates. If v.7 does not do well, I will be reverting back to v.61. All machines need some tweaking after released to end users. XP will figure it out soon.
Hey partner your getting popular, why your sitting on your dam porch like an early settler speaking simple, no bullshit , your a regular folk don’t change and you will be top 10 on detecting.
Hi, Jeremy,. Great videos, you should jump on the band waggon, ask us to buy you a coffee, make a fortune, I'd buy u a coffee, for the time u put in,
Simplex with sp24 kills it in tot lots
The second (somewhat intimate): among the" beloved lovers "of your rich Harem, who is the your favorite that you take you to ... bed? Greetings from the south of Sicily, to everyone!
tell Xp and Nokta to hurry up ha ha ha
What happened to your beard? Did you lose a bet? You are a good-looking guy so you should fix that. Right?
Simplex rules
I tested a double 2 notch window in P.1 and swung a terror fast pace with tight overlaps and
the machine hit both windows hard as a freight train. It does the faintest tone with
the tiniest wiggle thingy too. Iron? No iron problems. You didn't like the handle? Put a piece of a sponge under the meter box. Dude, this machine is minimalistic tech genius if you have experience and can understand
the language and know how to fine tune. You don't have to dig up all rhat trash like you are doing. In shoet, it pains me to watch you dig up so much trash. Wish you luck.
I don’t see any difference expensive or cheap detectors multi frequency
