I'm really jealous of your skills! I have NEVER had a saw run any good after a carb clean and kit, no matter what I do..so I just accepted I suck, and don't do them anymore. The way this ran after the carb kit was incredible. Love your channel, one of the early subscribers. Thanks for the great content and most of all, the common sense.
Hello Richard, Just recently found your channel. Liked and Subscribed. I am a Certified Stihl Mechanic, I work full time at a Stihl Dealership and I have my own shop at home. Keep up the great work.
Some adjust mainly with screws, others by using taper. Set at 1 turn then using throttle plate. Do you have video on setting carb. Or pls describe your method,
Hi Richard. I’m working on the early 80s Husqvarna rancher 61. It does not have a pulse line to the carburetor. It’s a walbro carburetor. Is that normal?
It’s always great watching your videos, retired, trying to learn a little bit how to work on saws to stay busy

I got lucky on this one for sure.

This is easily one of the most underrated channels in this genre. Great content Richard.
Tuned up and cleaned up nice! Anytime someone wants "just a tuneup" I almost always just assume it's gonna need a carb kit atleast.
Great video
You bet always good stuff!
Great information. I’ve done enough to follow along…. but….now will look for a slight mark in the chamfer. Can always learn new and refreshed. Thanks
Thanks, Richard!
Nice video man!
I know this is an older video, but the down fall of this carb is the accelerator pump that goes bad and the engine will bog on trigger pull.
Spot on sir
Rich nice and informative when you do not do simple maintenamce. 😀😁🙂😚😚

I have a collection of these saws I’ve held onto..hoping to one day have repaired/rebuilt.. do you take on side work?
I'd love to, but at this point I've got more business locally than I can stand.
My 460 kit has a rubber AND a paper gasket, which one should I use?

Pulse comes through the intake block.
I just rebuilt my carb, not the first, and the saw still bogs down and dies..
