    Good overview.
    19K miles is nothing for an NC. Members of our global group are reporting 150K plus miles, trouble free. Heck, there's a guy in Brazil with about 280K on his courier bike, no issues.
    The low rev limiter is made to preserve the engine, and provide the excellent gas mileage this bike's known for.
    This can literally be the only bike in your garage for ages, especially if you don't race on the streets.

      Only thing i think they lack (if youre buying a used bike) is they dont seem to have abs atleast i dont see a tone ring

    • @BassOutcast
      @BassOutcast Рік тому +2

      @@tavs111 That's a really odd thing that Honda did only in the North American market, where they only gave ABS to the DCT model. Mine is a European spec 2012 manual and not only does it have ABS, it has CBS too (which oddly enough was only a feature on the 700X. the 2014 and above 750X didn't get it). It seems like across the board, the US has been getting the short end of the NC stick as while the rest of the world got the 750 engine in 2014, the US got it in 2017 and was the only market where a 700X was offered with the 2nd-gen 750 cosmetic upgrade.

    A decent review for an NC700. I just bought one, literally yesterday. I see so much hate on these bikes and was doubting my decision (buyers remorse lol). Thanks for a decent, honest, and windy review lol

      I'm sure you're having a blast man. I desire an easy to ride bike that can just zip around the city with no fuss and still do plenty of highway without issue. It's surprisingly difficult to find a bike that fits that bill. I don't need any dirt capability.

      Hello. Don't have any doubt. It would be sad to have only one type of bike. It's a very good bike. Just enjoy 👌

      @@ploufplo I'm exploring scooter options at the moment but NC is still top of the list for "actual" motorcycles. Pretty much given up on the Honda CB's etc.

    • @ploufplo
      @ploufplo 2 роки тому +1

      @@drewmorg. a scooter can be a good option. The NC is a very good bike to commute and travel. Almost indestructible and confortable. If you are interested in traveling/commuting more than racing, it can be a good option. I don't know in your country, but in France, we have more and more speed controls, so, for normal riding, it's perfectly OK 🤗

      @@ploufplo thanks for your input laure! the thing is here in California we have 80mph (130kmh) highways and they are 5 lanes wide. You really need a vehicle that can move quickly sometimes. I don't even feel it's safe to drive some smaller cars on the highway such as Prius C (which I have driven a lot on the highway). There have been times I was caught accelerating into traffic and that thing was too slow for real. Most motorcycles can get to 80mph, but they are buzzy or uncomfortable staying there. This is the real problem not the power... so it's an interesting situation because I want as small of a bike as I can get.

      Just pulled her out of storage after long cold winter in New England…..fired right up….she’s a beast….. never complains. I’m considering trading up for the African twin soon. Just would like a little more power for highway commuting.

      @@freedomfighter2911 African Twin is a lot bigger. I like to be able to go between lanes of traffic. Probably African Twin is more comfortable for long trips and needs less touring mods

    I find it funny how you mentioned that this bike gets blown around. I have 7000 miles on my 2015 nc700x and it takes the wind like a champ. You definitely feel it when you’re going 90mph over a suspended bridge on a windy day but I’ve never once felt like I was loosing control of the bike. Its worth mentioning I have the stock windscreen.
