If there is any consolation to your time not being wasted the fact I'm on here 5yrs later researching the FP3 for my 2007 street glide and watching your video's to see if I want this product, well here it is. Thank you.
Hey dude, I'm in New Zealand and just bought an 883 Iron (2014) - your videos are inspirational and I'm basically applying all the mods you have done...money permitting , and one at a time....first mod was the FP3 - with the air intake now on order - keep up the videos!!!
Dude, thanks for creating this FP3 series. I'm about to install a heavy air breather and new exhaust in a few days. I got everything I need including the FP3. Watching these helps me know what to expect. Also, I hope you're girding Irma okay. Be safe!
I'm awaiting delivery of a new 2016 Fatboy Special, it'll have a stage 1 -Van & Hines 2 into 2 big radius, Screaming Eagle Heavy Breather & a fuelpak 3 on it when it srtives (along with 4 point docking harness and rack & Sissy bar) I hope I don't get the same problem as you but your vlog will help in the auto tune sessions hopefully 👍😎
Hey man, awesome videos you've got there. I don't have my bike licence yet, but I'm looking to do it very soon so I've been watching your tutorials closely ;) Hi from London, UK!
Sounding much better blockhead, pleased your're getting it sorted ! Think of the $$$$$$$'s you keep in your pocket instead of feeding the stealership :-). Talking of which, I fitted a daymaker from Amazon UK, £58.99. Probably made in same factory as HD version which is £400 !
Yeah man, cool to be able to use the V&H FP3 on it instead of having to set aside time for tuning. Maybe when upgrading to the 1250! And that's awesome about the Daymaker knockoff, I just installed one, too! Gift from Ms. Blockhead on Christmas :)
Man at the later part of the video, I'm not sure how it is on your end, but it definitely sounded a lot better. Not so much acoustically but it seems like it's nulling out those hickups and pops.
Yeah it doesn't hiccup and pop as much. Rode yesterday and it had one big one, but I'm thinking once I apply the newest learned cells, it'll "iron" that out (pun not intended, but it worked out!)
I have a question which is a bit confusing when I try to explain it out. I’ve noticed you did multiple sessions over one day before you did the final upload. Say I start on city roads to learn the lower RPMs and get most of them green. Then I pull over and plug in that learned data and continue onto the freeway to get more of the higher RPMs learned. Once I learn the higher RPMs and I pull over to plug-in that data I’m sure there will be a little bit of the lower rpm boxes that may be orange (since it resets the chart when you apply the learned data). So if I then apply that learned data and say I had a green the first time but now it’s orange.. will it over write the green with the orange or does it just keep the green from the start? I guess the best way to not worry about this problem would be to do one long session without stopping to upload any learn data until I’m ready to finalize the whole thing. This might seem a little bit confusing but I think it’s a legitimate question. I just don’t want to spend an hour trying to get all the lower rpm boxes green and then accidentally replace it with orange after I go back and hit the higher RPMs if that makes sense
I recently got myself a harley 883 iron with an aftermarket exhaust and a fp3 vance & hince fuel pack installed. I notice the throttle responce is delaid when i open it in second. Is this something the vuel pack can sort out
I have a 2011 iron 883 has big radius Vance and Hines exhaust but stock air filter all the pre set maps say with high flow filter which I’m not running will that matter or am I gona have to put a high flow filter on it before I can tune my bike? Mainly want to tune it to see if I can get it to run any better with big radius and stock exhaust
Nice! I love watching the 'work in progress' videos. This stuff is so much better than scripted, corporate garbage on network TV. Not sure when, but I will definitely get a tuner. It's just not worth it to me to commute on the bike when I'm getting 32mpg... The next mod has to be header pipes- the black ones from Harley. I've had a lot of rattle coming out at low RPM's and noticed earlier this week that the crossover tube broke off of the front header pipe. It's going to cost about the same as new pipes to get it re-welded, so... fuck it. New pipes it is! BTW- those fingernails GOT TO GO! :p
Broken part = opportunity for new better part! Sounds like a wise choice to me if the cost is the same, haha. BTW - Them fingernails went! Multiple people calling me out for my damn fingernails, haha. I'm bad about remembering to cut them and don't bite them, meh
Good thoughts man, I definitely want to do a long term review on the Iron, but wanting to wait like a year in for that. V&H sound review for sure though! Thanks +Marius S. !
Don’t buy the FP4, look at the app ratings. Nothing but problems, never been able to use it. The factory tech said it “may be my soundstream radio” can’t return it. Expensive paperweight
Another winning vlog Mr. Blockhead. Check out my maiden voyage on Speedsterjohnny. The wind reduction thing needs work but I hope to fix that soon. Like and subscribe from you, my m-v hero, would be awesome.

I'm way overdue to get a tuner but now I know what the hell to do and feel comfortable getting this one.

Must say, its quite entertaining to watch your vlogs! The dorkiness with a whole lot of Mr. Blockhead-Awesomeness :D Keep it up man.
Ha, "dorkiness" and awesomeness, I'll take it! Thanks man, appreciate the support as always sir!
So basically set autotune > apply > ride more > apply > ride more > finish. Awesome videos, subscribed!
You can send the map to V&H & they'll check it out for you & make the necessary adjustment --so the blurb in the package says. Worth a try ay buddy

That bike sounds really good at idle. I will have some videos of my custom Harley Crossbones soon. Going for war bike look
Thanks man! Sounds cool on the war bike look, best of luck w/ the build!

Any idea on the power gains you achieved with the tuner?
Awesome videos > If AutoTune works in O'Ville > It should work good up here in Leesburg.

heck yeah! im glad you got it goin right!
Yeah man! Still in auto tune mode but going a lot better than it was before during our group ride!
Question > Can you adjust the Idle Speed? My 1200T idles a bit fast.
Autotuned this weekend..stalled at intersections...most embarrassing! Back to can for now.
I know that feel bro. Suuuuucks.

Amazing to hit 2017 subs by 2017 (6:48) haha How about 150,000 subs by 2019! Keep it going buddy!
Does the takeoff seem kinda laggy after auto tuning cause mines does but after fist gear it seems more powerful then before is that normal
State Pooper 😂🤙🏼
Sounds deeper...more rumble at idle/stop lights
For sure, more staggered. Will do a proper sound review soon.
BLOCKHEAD
How are you today? Are spare parts in the iron 883 price is high or not?
wassah dude
