I’m 6’2” and have a Ferris IS2000 and it has a lot more leg room. That 600 you have is to small for your height, plus the pedal on the 2000 is placed farther towards the front .
However I use to have alot of customers that had narrow gates. So when I went from a walk behind belt drive relic to a zero turn, a few of them suggested that it now takes less time, I should cut the price. It was all I could do not to cuss them out. I did simply load up and tell them good luck.

You didn't know how tall you were when you sat on the mower at the dealer?
Yes and I knew I had to have nothing wider than 48 inch to service my customers. So sacrifices had to be made.
wasn't designed for your height. Good point about the PTO disengage.
The world is designed for men around 5'5" as it seems.
I've heard that most zero turns are designed around about 5'8" and shorter operators.
My bruised knees will agree with you but it only works out good for my 4 foot 9 13 year old son

You bought the wrong mower. I would recommend an IS2200 or larger.
Larger will not fit into my customers gates. I paid this thing off in one year and then Pais off another 15k in equipment.

Yes still mowing working 3 jobs now. Full time pest control, lawn service and boat restoration. 70 to 80 hours a week.

what year is this mower? im looking at buying a 2017 model Ferris IS600z
I think it is a 2017 or 16 . I would recomend gettinf a wright stand on mower if you love using your knees and back. Itake a beating on mine.
Never pressure wash a mower.
Air hose is acceptable.
Take the time to remove engine side covers off when needed to clean out debris.
PS - I got a used 600 last year.
If someone knew how to change pressure tips ot would not hurt to wash it. Poor little thing has been through hell though.
This is why you don’t go with a cheap residential model when you need a commercial one. You should have got a 800 or bigger

600 is a commercial mower and the pedal and controls are adjustable. I’m 5 10 and don’t have this issue
I only need about 2 inches less and it wouldn't be a problem. I am thinking about adding longer controls to it.
