“Nice use of the palm hammer” 😂 the whole family is entertaining! Glad the piano made the trek back home. The way Tom looks at Maggie playing.. what a proud dad!
Gage and Corbin are incredible, so clever and I just love how you and Dawns dad let them do it themselves well done boys. I’m also impressed that you moved the piano without a scratch, your daughter plays beautifully. Enjoy your weekend x
Fyi: the piano should be placed on 1. an inside wall 2. away from windows and doors, and 3. away from air vents to help preserve it and keep it in tune as long as possible between tunings.
Tom, you and your father-in-law are great! You and your daughter moving the piano - I'm pretty sure my blood pressure went up watching that part. Then letting your boys fix that door and put it back on all by themselves! And reminding them that the job's not done until all the tools are put away. Mad skills...y'all have mad skills!!! Just sayin' 🙂
Wow, it’s so rare (and refreshing) to hear a guy actually say he messed up (“I backed into the dozer.” “I bent the door.”) Typically a guy would say, “the dozer got backed into. The door got bent.” I love it!
Love the OJT for the boys. One of the greatest things we can give our kids is self-confidence and self-reliance. It will carry them farther than anything that comes in a box. Nice work Dad and Grandpa. Maggie is quite the talented young lady as well.❤
I love the way you and dawns dad are with the boys .. so patient and willing to teach them these skills and always validating how well they are doing .. such a great example of positive parenting
I held my breath in this one! First with the dust mask!!! THEN with the piano!!! This one was an adventure to watch! Can't imagine living it!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!! And MAGGIE! Great job playing the piano and supporting your dad! I love this! Tom! Were you hurt when you backed into the dozer??? And CORBIN AND GAGE!!! Great job! And your father-in-law! What a great guy! Such a fantastic family! AND TOM!!! Way to teach and lead and serve! Congrats on another series of successes! I heard Dawn in the background making you laugh! I love y'all! Missed your alter ego LOL!
Great work moving the piano. I was on pins and needles. 😂 I love seeing the three generations working together. Y'all did a super job. Keep up the good work. Those boys are adorable.
Maggie The Piano Mover :) ! What a great savings to have a piano that works. The kids will really enjoy it. And I love the fact you can teach a homeschooling Shop class. The kids will remember those lessons for the rest of their lives.
My family & I love Rusty Judgement & what a great channel it has become. We look forward to Fridays. One of the best parts of it is seeing your kids growing up & what an amazing job that you & your family are doing raising them. It's incredible seeing all of the skills that they are all learning at such a young age. ☺️❤🙏🙋♀️
Tom and Dawn-I hope you realize how uplifting your videos are for a lot of people. The world is upside down right now, and these videos remind us there is still good in this world, we just don’t hear about it enough. God bless your family.
Interesting shop class! So cool how you and grandpa let them do it themselves. They are growing up with so much self worth and positivity. Just kind of does a heart good in this day and age!
It has been our experience that pianos stay in tune better and longer if they are on an interior wall and away from exterior doors. The constant change in temperature is derimental to them. Your boys are learning valuable skills that will serve them well!
It's great seeing 3 of the 4 kids in this wks video. I love that they are learning to do things. Maggie, Great job on the piano playing. Corbin & Gage, Great job helping Grandpa & Dad out. 😊
What great children you have they will make you so proud beautiful men and women. You are both doing an amazing job with them. Could not wait to watch this every week. Love your videos Tom from Kathy in Australia.
I’ve been waiting patiently. Love the Tom show on Friday and I love your homeschool with the kids. I also love how Dawn’s Dad says, “ Don’t try this at home.” I know he’s got to be a fun father in law and granddad. Love and blessings from warm and sunny East Texas.
The smiles on your kids faces when they finished says it all. So proud! And Maggie...she is talented. Thanks for sharing. Great job parenting and grandparenting.
I love watching the boys working with Dawn’s dad- they are learning so many life lessons! And I Loved watching Maggie help move 5he piano. My best memories are working with my dad on many project! Awesome parenting!💕
The boys' faces were so adorable when the skidsteer loader door completely shut after their repair! Bravo boys!! Dawn's dad was so patient; what great teachers he and Tom are!!
Wow ! What a video ! Truly gripping & exciting ! I’m a city girl / apartment dweller so I’m often unfamiliar - but always FASCINATED - with all your projects ! But today …. Well I’m VERY familiar with piano ! Grew up playing & happen to have a phenomenal ear for music ! Meggie is SO good ! And the piano is a GEM ! Sounds great ! Seems like it has good action, too. Meggie would know. I believe that piano is a spinet ? If I’m not mistaken tho , it is not advisable to put a piano against an outside wall. Oooh , Tom : another thing I AM familiar with ? Having just ONE eye for sight. Since birth for me. Pleeeeasse can you wear safety goggles ? Ooooh I hated seeing you work in the basement demoing with no eye protection ! Unless I did not see properly; I don’t see super great outta my “good eye” either. So great to see Grand Dad & Dad & the boys ! Annnd …. Hmmmm … I think I heard where Dawn gets her marvelous laugh from ! Great job, boys ! Congrats on all your hard work ! I LOVE this channel & I wait eagerly for each new episode. Love you all ! Liz in Buffalo
Somebody (Tom) had to do it. A lot of work - kudos to you Tom! Yeah for the kids thrifting the piano; Go Team Corbin and Gauge. Thanks for "spotting" them Grandpa and dad. What an amazing teamwork family! Thanks so much for sharing with us.
Years ago, my grandfather and a group of men moved a piano, in the back of a pickup, from the country church to the "in town" church (town population 700) when the two churches merged. They drove 7 miles into town and got about a block away from the in-town church when they turned a corner too sharply. The piano fell off the truck and shattered in the street. It was a good thing. A huge black snake had been hibernating in the piano. If the piano had been set up in the church and the snake had warmed up inside, there would have been a very unwelcome visitor to the Mer Rouge Methodist Church.
Well I’ve loved them all, but this may just be my favorite video ever! Those boys always remind me so much of my own, but this demonstrated that I think they even have him beat! Well done, Corbin & Gage! Love how all of you let them be so involved in projects & learn so many skills. And Maggie’s piano playing…from memory even!…was fantastic!
It makes me unbearably happy to see Corbin and Gage covered in grease AND hearing grandpa guide them lovingly. I wish I'd had those opportunities as a child. They have no idea of the skills they just learned. They're light years ahead of so many people.
Hi Tom! Piano teacher here, with three comments! 1, I've seen a LOT of pianos moved and have moved an above average share myself, and this was a first! Glad you got it home safely! 2, that piano will last a lot longer, especially in a Minnesota climate, if you move it off the exterior wall and away from exterior doors and windows. And 3, Maggie plays beautifully, and I'm so glad she has a proper piano to practice on now! I think you'll be amazed how much she'll improve, using a piano instead of a keyboard, but I'm impressed with how well she has learned with what she had! ❤
Tom you seem more relaxed. I hope that you are indeed more relaxed and are doing well. Your father in law is a treasure teaching your kids like that and actually has some great filming skills.
2 things: I was holding my breath while you were moving that piano. What an amazing blessing for the kids. It’s a beautiful piano. The smiles on the boys faces when the door shut. 😊❤They are some capable kiddos.
Boy's and Grandpa saved the day. Tom you are going to have your own pit crew. I bet grandpa had the best time. It is important to share knowledge. It takes more time but it is a perfect way to spend your time.
It's great to see multi generations teaching kids how to do things....while still letting them to think/learn for themselves. I love farm life. It served my family well.
Boy was that a lot of work taking the ceiling from the basement! Thank goodness it opened at ground level for getting it cleaned out! Loved watching your boys working in the shop! Maggie is a very good on the piano!
Your children are already so far ahead of their peers in life skills and are well rounded and grounded. Awesome job by parents and grandparents! Parents teaching and kids learning. This is what America needs. BEAUTIFUL!!!
I love the lessons the boys learned from dad and grandpa. My husband grew up on a farm and knows how to fix about anything. He is a heavy equipment mechanic by trade. Our neighbors love that he can fix their tractors. TFS 👍
This was great seeing the boys helping! Homeschooling at its finest!😉 And the piano was a great find! It’s a different model, but same brand as ours. It was my husband’s mother’s piano 🎹 she had for years and they sound great once tuned. Maggie played very well too!🤩
What the boys are learning they will never forget. Awesome job, Tom. Great job, and your father in law as well. Cage and Corbin that was cool to watch. Awesome teamwork!!! They look like great helpers and are having fun. That piano sounded amazing surprised it wasn't out of tune. Maggie, fantastic job playing the piano.
Loved the video. I have had pianos all my life and was always told not to place them on exterior walls. I looked this up before writing comment this to see if it was so. This is what I found: “An inside wall helps protect the piano from direct sunlight and sudden changes in temperature. Pianos can be placed near outside walls as long as it is away from open windows and doorways. A piano should not be near air vents, fireplaces, areas where high temperatures can affect it.” AND “The longstanding recommendation has been to avoid placing a piano against external walls since temperature fluctuations will make it go in and out of tune. In today’s modern, well insulated homes, this is less of an issue.” Just food for thought for y’all.
Tom, I love how you are teaching your kids life skills that they can use over and over again. You are so patient with them and making sure they actually understand what you are teaching. ❤❤❤
Please don’t leave the piano on that outside wall. With your cold MN winters, the sound board could split. Your sons did an excellent job on that door.
the smile on his face after the door shut was so precious he was so proud of himself you got some great boys there! and maggie did great on the piano that was awesome to hear
Yet again proof that Farmers are mechanics, engineers, welders, anything it takes to keep those machines running and in working order.
Agree ❤
The boys are so capable and practical. What a great childhood they are having.
I grew up on a farm and their is nothing better to make self sufficient kids. You can tell by the big grins that your boys enjoy the work.
“Nice use of the palm hammer” 😂 the whole family is entertaining! Glad the piano made the trek back home. The way Tom looks at Maggie playing.. what a proud dad!
Love seeing Gauge working alongside Corbin now. What great helpers. Maggie sounded great on the piano. ❤
She played beautifully!❤
Gage and Corbin are incredible, so clever and I just love how you and Dawns dad let them do it themselves well done boys. I’m also impressed that you moved the piano without a scratch, your daughter plays beautifully. Enjoy your weekend x
Love seeing the Rusty judgement videos coming out regularly!
I do, too !
I am so impressed how you and your father in law are teaching the boys how to work on these projects with such patience. ❤
Fyi: the piano should be placed on 1. an inside wall 2. away from windows and doors, and 3. away from air vents to help preserve it and keep it in tune as long as possible between tunings.
Exactly! Thanks for giving them those tips 👍🏻
I’ve heard the same thing when bringing in our piano.
all great advice!
Came here to say the same. Much better for the instrument and the tuning. Though I have to say it sounded good after all that juggling!
Not true anymore with newer homes and insulation etc.
So glad your boys helped in the shop. The smiles on their faces when they were done with the skidsteer door were priceless. Good job! 😊
Tom, you and your father-in-law are great! You and your daughter moving the piano - I'm pretty sure my blood pressure went up watching that part. Watching your boys work together is a beautiful thing. So much more learning here than just reading a book. ❤ it
Bravo boys! You two are excellent students! I was so proud of you when that door slammed closed. Way to go!
I held my breath in this one! First with the dust mask!!! THEN with the piano!!! This one was an adventure to watch! Can't imagine living it!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!! And MAGGIE! This was a great video, but like you, I missed Tom's alter ego at the end.
Tom and his father in law are growing the most wonderful men of all - men who can and will fix things that break!!
Loved the homeschool shop class! Lifetime lessons!!!
"Nice use of the palm hammer" & "Always trust the arrow...50% chance of it being right" 😅
What your sons are learning is priceless! Great job, Dad and Grandpa!
What proud looks on those little faces!! Thanks Dad!!
Love seeing you training the children in practical skills
I loved this one! Lots of stuff to watch. I especially love your kids and how well they listen and how much they want to help!
Great work moving the piano. I was on pins and needles. 😂 I love seeing the three generations working together. Y'all did a super job. Keep up the good work. Those boys are adorable.
Pins and needles! Me too!
Maggie The Piano Mover :) !
What a great savings to have a piano that works. The kids will really enjoy it. And I love the fact you can teach a homeschooling Shop class. The kids will remember those lessons for the rest of their lives.
I am Amazed at what you take on Tom all by yourself!
Wow! 👍👍 Good job!!
Every kid should get dirty learning to fix and grow things. As well as learning how to clean dirty things and cook. Best education in the world

Amen from Texas!!
Amen from NSW Australia 🇦🇺
Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet but pianos need to be on interior walls to avoid large fluctuations in temperature.
Nice job guys! What great helpers you had, Tom. I wish I had a tenth of your energy.
Interesting shop class! So cool how you and grandpa let them do it themselves. They are growing up with so much self worth and positivity. Just kind of does a heart good in this day and age!

You are such a great example. Never say never folks!
Great job!

What nice, competent, young men you are raising. We, of America, thank you.
And young women. (Sorry Maggie, and of course, Adeline)

Seconding the need for eye protection! We want Tom to remain in one piece
Every piano teacher on the planet cringing in unison during the piano move.

At least you don't have to reach too high to tear down the ceiling...haha

Hardworkers! Seeing the smiles on the boy's faces after the door closed was such a joy!
It makes me unbearably happy to see Corbin and Gage covered in grease AND hearing grandpa guide them lovingly. I wish I'd had those opportunities as a child. They have no idea of the skills they just learned. They're light years ahead of so many people.
Dad and uncle and grandpa are good teachers
For an untuned piano which has been moved through the cold, it sounds amazing!
Hi Tom! Piano teacher here, with three comments!

Impressive, unique piano move!
Your kiddos are getting a much better, useful education than they’d get at any public school in the country! Kudos to you!!
The boys seem to have far more fun working with the real deal than I can image working with Legos. Love their enthusiasm!
Omg! I always tear up when children make beautiful music! 😍
That was beautiful Maggie!💕💕
Tom you seem more relaxed. I hope that you are indeed more relaxed and are doing well. Your father in law is a treasure teaching your kids like that and actually has some great filming skills.
Tom’s calling it “home school shop class” is right on. Those are the most amazing and happy kids, not in part by having the best teachers/parents.
2 things:
I was holding my breath while you were moving that piano. What an amazing blessing for the kids. It’s a beautiful piano.
The smiles on the boys faces when the door shut. 😊❤They are some capable kiddos.
Tom & Dawn, you are teaching your children valuable life skills they would never learn in the school system. I really admire your parenting ❤
Boy's and Grandpa saved the day. Tom you are going to have your own pit crew. I bet grandpa had the best time. It is important to share knowledge. It takes more time but it is a perfect way to spend your time.
The boys's grins, when the door slams shut properly, says it all. Great job, guys!
Love to see the boys learning alongside Dad and Grandpa! Maggie was great playing the piano too! Great job everyone!
this is one of the best home school lessons! Dad and Grandfather teaching, it's wonderful to see. Family dynamic, a Blessing.
Homeschooling for the win! Proud boys.
That basement is a LOT less creepy than before! A lot of work, but it DOES look so much better!
So glad to see that Tom is wearing gloves! When he dug into the rotten camper floor in his bear hands, I shuttered. Love you!!!❤
It's great to see multi generations teaching kids how to do things....while still letting them to think/learn for themselves. I love farm life. It served my family well.
Boy was that a lot of work taking the ceiling from the basement! Thank goodness it opened at ground level for getting it cleaned out! Loved watching your boys working in the shop! Maggie is a very good on the piano!
Love watchig the boys work together and learn!
I remember being told a long time ago that you shouldn't keep a piano on an outside wall.
just wonderful and entertaining videos Tom. Thereis nothing you cant do!!!
I'm very impressed with the competence & skills the boys exhibited.
Maggie played beautifully on the piano - I'm glad she and the other kiddos will have it to practice on!
Watching your boys work so well together solving problems and fixing that door was a true joy. Good job Dad and Grandpa!
Your children are already so far ahead of their peers in life skills and are well rounded and grounded. Awesome job by parents and grandparents! Parents teaching and kids learning. This is what America needs. BEAUTIFUL!!!
Grandpa and dad are teaching the boys so much more than they'd ever learn in a classroom! Awesome job boys (and grandpa & dad!💙)
"Work is never done till the tools are put away."Teachin' them right !
Maggie plays that piano so well. Glad you went and got the piano for the kids. You definitely aren't afraid of work.
I’m so happy for Maggie to have a piano. She’s doing so well! ( I did think Tom was going to get crushed by the piano however 😬6
I love the lessons the boys learned from dad and grandpa. My husband grew up on a farm and knows how to fix about anything. He is a heavy equipment mechanic by trade. Our neighbors love that he can fix their tractors. TFS 👍
Nice job everyone! Fun to watch all of your projects with grandpa and three of the kiddos!
This was great seeing the boys helping! Homeschooling at its finest!😉
And the piano was a great find! It’s a different model, but same brand as ours. It was my husband’s mother’s piano 🎹 she had for years and they sound great once tuned. Maggie played very well too!🤩
Awesome to see the proud smiles on your boys faces when they shut the doors. Great job on playing the piano M.

Dad and grandpa are amazing for teaching AND allowing the boys to do the work with guidance nd not taking over. Good job all 4 of you
Tom, I love how you are teaching your kids life skills that they can use over and over again. You are so patient with them and making sure they actually understand what you are teaching. ❤❤❤
Oh my goodness! I’m having a heart attack watching you attempt to move that piano, that beautiful, beautiful Piano.
You are one hard working man!
Nice work all around. We homeschooled for 20 years (4 kids) and took all kinds of homeschool opportunities. Thanks for sharing with everyone.
Please don’t leave the piano on that outside wall. With your cold MN winters, the sound board could split. Your sons did an excellent job on that door.
Very impressed with both the piano move and the skidsteer repair! The kids will love having a real piano!
the smile on his face after the door shut was so precious he was so proud of himself you got some great boys there! and maggie did great on the piano that was awesome to hear
Shop class is my favorite! Good job boys!
Maggie’s playing sounded so good! Great piano rescue.
The boys are adorable. Great homeschool lessons
