- Hey, My name is Tom. I don't know about you but I find myself wanting to DO everything myself. I consider myself a Jack Of All Trades. Master of none. What you'll find here will be anything from building or fixing cars or trucks, building or remodeling projects and everything in between. I get myself into some pretty interesting situations.
I'd love it if you subscribed so we can stay in touch... You might even learn something. I know I will!
Thank you for watching!!

Tom. you are so modest. Not everyone can do what you do.❤
I agree
100% agree. My husband is like Tom. His mind just works differently than mine. It’s great to be married to someone who can build and fix almost anything. Definitely not easily found.
Ok, so watching you carry that huge window all by yourself I think we are honing in on your back problems. 😂 As someone in the middle of a new project with a big learning curve I appreciate your encouragement. You can do it too!!🎉
My thoughts exactly! Good job Tom. You are an inspiration. Keep on chugging along.
Oh, no! Don't show that to the chiro!
Oh man, when I saw you carry that window the way you did my first thought was , They’re is the answer to what’s causing the back problems. Don’t do that! You must have a flat bed or dolly somewhere that could help with the job.
I'd like to add that putting the trailer closer to the garage would have at least made the distance carrying that load faster.
Yes, but our beloved Tom doesn't have a good track record for backing things up. I blame the one-eye problem! I have depth perception issues and I unhook the trailer and take it back by hand.
Looks like a good day : starting off and ending with your wife and you discussing your plans. You are so supportive of one another. I'm guessing you both start the day off in prayer and Bible Study too: best way to start the day! Be encouraged, Tom, you are doing a good job on so many levels, primarily with your family and then being a good provider for them. Every blessing from France.
That cracked me up when you said it was most likely the alternator because it's more expensive. My husband says things like that all the time. I enjoy your down-to-earth personality, you and Dawn are so refreshing to watch. What a wonderful family!
10:06 but also 11:52 I have been conditioned to expect that these garage doors will hit a light fixture and rain down shattered bulbs each time you open one
Oh yeah, I wondered why I was flinching 😄
Me too! Lol!
Watching Tom lift that oversized window by himself... ....now I understand why his back is sore!
Oh Tom. You looked so tired at the end of your day. Your days are not boring at all, they are productive. Maybe it's not always what you thought you would be doing but when you put your head on your pillow at night you have to feel accomplished. If you don't, rethink it my friend. You got a lot done today! Sometimes you make the rest of us feel like slugs when we compare our accomplishments to yours. I got a mailbox installed and some weeds pulled in the garden today and I'm going to call it a win!
50K let’s go! You can do it 😊
WOOHOO it’s Friday and that means another Rusty Judgement video! Hi from Scotland 🏴
I agree, I always look forward to them. Hi from Ohio,
the “other” Toms😂. So entertaining. Thanks for the time and effort these must take!
My husband and I love your videos. We always said if we didnt have bad luck we would have no luck at all!! You deal with everything very well. Great to see a young Christian family. Just keep living your life and thank you so much for taking us along!!!
Your videos are never boring! I’m always excited when a new one pops up. Your channel is just a breath of fresh air with comedy mixed in! Perfection!
I decided to watch a video because I was tapped & frustrated in my diy taking longer than expected & nothing ever being easy. This was the motivation I needed to get back in there & keep going. Thanks
You can do it! 👍😁
@@RustyJudgment Get a freaking dolly!!! My back hurts watching you carry the window. I’m an EMT, please be safe. Also was it the battery or the alternator?
@@RustyJudgmentDid you pick up what you dropped while carrying the window?
I learn about new and unusual things every time I watch your videos! How can that be boring 👏👏👏👏
@@reginadellavecchiaI was looking for this comment. Lol. I was thinking it was a corner cushion piece like a thick piece of cardboard…
So sweet of you to walk with her. I’ll be honest, I love Dawn so much I’m peeking in here to see more of her and your family’s life. I subscribed! Great job working out and listening to your chiropractor!
Same!!!
Couldn’t agree more.
Same!!! I love all three of them! The minimal mom and her little army of UA-camrs!
Tom, you are not boring! So interesting watching you work and realizing it’s not always easy even for someone who knows what they’re doing! God bless you for keeping calm and accepting when things just don’t pan out.
Tom, what you think is so easy to put back together is a giant, unsolvable puzzle to some. I have watched my husband do what you have done and it is absolutely a mystery to me. Don’t downplay your talents! Taking things apart AND putting them back together correctly is a real skill. Don’t sell yourself short.😊
Tom, I can hardly wait for each of your videos!! You are great! I love your wonderful attitude and ability to figure things out! Proud of good Americans like YOU! 🇺🇲🇺🇲
I know these videos do not come up until after 5:00 - but that doesn't stop me from getting on at 4:00 and hitting refresh about a thousand times. Friday's end of the week treat...
My husband and I do the exact same thing in the morning, coffee and the Bible. It is our favorite part of the day!
What a great example you are! Working out after having coffee and conversation with your wife, then walking together ... be still my heart Y'all are awesome! Love your know-it-all alter ego! One thing I'd change about you is to encourage you to stop saying "my luck is bad" or "it goes wrong for me" and "thats just how it rolls for me" and start saying "by the grace of God I'm pretty talented and amazing and I am thankful for all His gifts" because you've really been given a bunch of them! I love seeing your work and the progress, and your ending! Love y'all.
Well said Barb! ❤❤❤
I will agree here too. Words are powerful. You are powerful Tom!
At the risk of sounding like an internet weirdo, it reminded me of hanging out with my dad. Always doing something but not getting anything done. Or at least feeling like it 😂
Can't wait to see the new windows!
That didn’t sound weird at all. 😁👍
I love that the two of you get in touch with each other before you start your day and again at the end of the day. That's awesome.
Progress is measured in inches…I tend to carry around 50’ tape measure goals for my days. Sounds like you may be the same way. Nobody got hurt (well, maybe your back, a little, from lugging that window into the garage solo (I think I have an idea why your back is sore!!)), you made good progress with the skid steer - call it a win and mark those things off your list for tomorrow! At least you aren’t trying to fight that tree by yourself!!
Excellent day in the life! Watching your videos are inspiring and it is easy to forget the miracle transformations sometimes take longer than expected. Thanks for keeping it real and modeling humility. This video was a good motivation to keep moving forward.
I don't find your videos boring at all but instead humbly honest and humorous. You might want to consider the following: Every morning before starting each day or any project, I pray according to Proverbs 16:3, and make it very personal. I find The Lord to be faithful to His Word and comes through for me every time. Be Encouraged in The Lord!!!
Fun video! I’m still laughing at the paper plate at breakfast! 😂
It is nice how you take time out for each other. I hope you get the 50,000 subscribers. I tried to remember when I started watching and the remodel comes to mind. You always give that little extra to everything. I crack up with your humor.
Tom seriously! You sell yourself short! Not “everyone can do these things”! We marvel at all you accomplish and your willingness to tackle so much! Bravo!!
Not super boring or boring at all. It is reassuring to know I’m not the only one! I really enjoy your channel and look forward to your posts.
That window is a 2-person job! Explains your back problems.
Every one knows that a task always takes longer than you planned. Love watching your videos. You are amazing at all you got done today in spite of everything.
I’m glad to know we aren’t the only people who have to work on our stuff before we can work on our stuff!!! Sometimes it’s like, is someone pranking me? We just want to get the job done!😮
Enjoy seeing all the work and progress-hang in there😊
You had a full day! Sorry you feel like you didn’t get enough done! Wow, you are really hard on yourself! 😢 Your work is wonderful. Enjoyed this video so much, thanks for taking us along. 😊
Tom carrying that huge window wondering why he has back problems. 😂
😂🤷♂️
Psst! Tom. Don’t tell Dawn because I am a long-time MinMom subscriber and a big fan of her videos, but I actually look forward to your videos more than any other channel on UA-cam. Maybe it’s because I’m interested in seeing the progress made in the various projects. Maybe it’s because you keep it real and don’t skim over the unforeseen challenges. Maybe it’s because I can show my husband and say, “See, honey. Watch and learn from this guy’s successes and his mistakes.” 😂
The memories you will have for your boys to look back on. Good job, Dad.
Something I’m learning is life is a marathon and not a sprint!!!! And it’s not always about the destination but how you get there!!!! You are a humble, very talented, honest, kind, caring, smart, loving husband, dad, friend and man of God!!! 🥰 You need to be more kind to yourself!!! Not a lot of people would accomplish all you do on their own!!! More grace for yourself is needed!!! Yay for help!!!! Praying that transition is smooth and you gel easily!!!! Your goal is definitely doable!!!! Cheering you on all the way Tom!!! 🎉 I love that you, Dawn and Jesus get to spend the first part of your morning together!!! ❤ Such a precious time!!!! We love you and Dawn so much!!!! 🥰
Your videos aren't boring. They make me feel better that other people have the same time snags I get when doing projects. They always work backward. By the time you fix everything leading to the one you start out with, you've had 3 or 4 unintended projects. Keep going. I look forward to seeing what you are doing.
Tom, you can do anything you put your mind to. There is no such word a “can’t “. Btw, the new garage doors look great.
I’ve watched you rebuild cars, fix trucks, remodel all the bedrooms, rebuild a collapsed building, move and raise houses (plural). AND….. make and edit great videos. I look forward to every one! Kudos to you! 👏
Hey Tom, I was just as surprised as you were. 😅
Putting out fires all day is never boring - it’s exhausting.
Love you too! You’re killing me with your incognito commentary. 😎
I appreciate your encouragement! I'm not the only one who runs about working on one thing after another! 😊
I love watching all your projects!! I get so much motivation from you, Dawn and Diana! House is clean, laundry is done, read my Bible and made a Bundt cake - that’s a Rusty Judgment/Minimal Mom/Dianna kind of day! ❤
Tom, you are such a hard worker. I’m very impressed by everything you can accomplish. You are a very talented man. Love your out takes.
Tom! You're awesome! I ❤️ to watch all your trials, tribulations, hijinks, progress, projects & all around fun perspective on life in general! Lol But...no wonder your back is killing up! Keep doing what you're doing! We ❤️ it! I know you can meet your 50K by October! No problem!
I look forward to Dawn' s videos, too but I regularly think to myself on Fridays: Oh! It's Rusty Judgement video day! Yeah!!! And find myself starting to look and see if it's posted yet. I also find myself on the edge of my seat wondering how this is going to turn out... We don't think your videos are boring!!!
Tom you are just overloaded. Carrying that window alone was counterproductive for healing your back. I’d subscribe twice if I could to help you. I hope you are successful in dealing with your stress because it’s not good for your heart. I had a good friend that dropped dead of a heart attack at 39. Just do one day/thing at a time and try not to stress over it.
Believe it or not some days are not as productive as other days and it makes me feel better knowing others go thru what I go thru. You are very encouraging to a lot of us and sometimes we are being taught patience (which I fail at every day) and the Lord knows how I need to be tested. I look forward to next Friday. Hang in there!
This is life. It is calming to watch you. I grew up on a farm and lived this. You guys make us feel like family. You and Dawn make an awesome team.
I wish I could subscribe more than once. May I just say how much enjoyment I get from your videos, you always make me feel like all is right with the world!
Core training is important but never fun 😂. Give yourself major pros for actually showing up and doing it.
I marvel at how much you have accomplished all these years by yourself! I would get so bored and so unmotivated. You must have a lot of inner drive and you must like being with yourself. YOU are an inspiration!!
Oh, Tom, I sympathize. Putting out fires all day. But hiring help really does help. God bless you in your efforts, and I appreciate your share. Not boring. And I love the little crazy sunglasses guy.
Oh my gosh Tom, you wonder why your back is hurting?????!!!! Well carry a large window by yourself is (One ) reason. I have to chuckle at you.🙄🤣
I can’t believe that you don’t have 50 or 100 thousand subscribers, I am a women who is in awe of the amount of work you get done and the projects you take on 👍 Love you guys❤❤
Hey Tom, I was watching Robby Layton’s Auto Body channel Ephraim Utah, and when he was putting a window into his Golden Nugget project. As I remember he said the trick was to use a string. He puts the gasket around the edge of the glass then wrapped some sort of string around that edge, he had somebody holding the window against the frame from one side and he was on the opposite side and pulled string allowing the flange of the gasket to pull through the frame and secure the window in the opening. He might have used some soap too, to help it slide into place. It looked easy but you definitely need a helper. I hope this helps 😊
I don't think your days are boring. I think your days are prosperous for the LORD and I also pray for you as things seem to go wrong. God in His great wisdom, plans out our days to glorify Him and it sure looks like you do, majorly!!! God bless you!😇🙏
Hey Tom, tell Dawn you need a hug and a back rub. Personally I think both of you are awesome. I watch you both to recover from all the negativity in this world. I wish I had a tenth of your energy. You accomplish so much in your lives and our lives too. Thank you.❤
Don’t give up. You can do it! 😊
You are a funny guy. And I think you will hit 50 thousand by fall.
Tom you are amazing ! And very entertaining😻
Thank you!
Agreed!! And the hidden vanilla and veggie entertainment.. Great way to start the weekend, with smiles. ☺️
Tom, you are terrific! You are such fun to watch! I like your 2 alter-egos! That's very clever!!! I just love watching. It's so real. I was raised on a working farm in northern California with cattle and sheep and dryland wheat farming. I used to hang out in the shop with my Dad! Lots of long days where stuff didn't go right. Into town for parts! As kids, the farm equipment was our space ships and off-season we would climb on them and use towels for our capes! ❤ I look forward to Rusty Judgement all week!!!
Tom, I love your channel. You have such a positive attitude. I like forward to it every Friday.
It’s so very much NOT boring.
You could have a tv show if you had a film crew!
I love the alternate Tom skit stuff you do and your encouragement at the end today.
I’ve always found that the 10 minute jobs take 2 hours and what I think will be 2 hours are 10 minutes. Great job.
So true!
I think you put yourself under so much pressure with so many projects at once!! I'd suggest a grab bag when heading out, a level, a measure and jumper cables 😂 You do trojan work and you get your kids involved too which is awesome. Pat yourself on the back my Friend, you totally deserve to feel immensely proud 🫡
Thanks Tom! Truly enjoyed seeing a "real-life" day. It reminds me so much of growing up on the farm with all my brothers, and how often things went just like this. And thanks for the kind encouragement at the end. Great thoughts! Truly appreciated!
I do the same thing: lofty goals only to be curtailed by weird, unexpected happenstances.
I started out my day thinking I was going to do some garden projects. I removed some edging, which snapped a sprinkler head...which required trip to home improvement store. Got halfway back home, when I realized I forgot to get replacement riser!
With the help of UA-cam, I figured it out. But lack the hand strength to back out the broken threaded riser(?). Got to get my son to help me. Ugh!!!!
So my other projects fell by the wayside, today.
That's just the way things go🤷.
You're right, Tom: of you really want to do something, you can!
Tom & Dawn are my favorite couple on the internet!! May the Lord bless your marriage and your family!!
Ok, so I did hold my breath when you opened the big garage door...no broken shop lights (like in your opening ), thank goodness! Keep up the good work!
You need to feed the bird feeders so you can enjoy their melodies in the early morning hours. 🎶 🐦
Oh no, Tom you need to protect your back. Please get someone to help you carry those heavy items. It just takes one moment and you will ruin your back for good. If you are having pain, take it as a warning sign.
I realize how discouraging it can feel to just keep running around to do a job. Example we needed to rebroadcast our front porch. Basic frame was okay it was the treads and deck that needed to be replaced. We have been involved in making many remodeling tasks on our old house but we usually had a professional ‘assisting’ us. Once we got the old treads and deck boards off we needed to marry new stringers to the old to have a surface to attach the new treads to. Then the frame needed to be completely painted to maintain the integrity and discovered we could not paint the new treads or deck boards til the lumber was dry. Beading of water seems to indicate if we are lucky next year. Did I mention we only had weekends to do this and it rained the last three out of five weekends. I can say it is now complete except for the tread and deck board paint. Six weekends total without our front porch. We get it. It takes as long as it takes and always expect to run out of screws twice, dead battery, flat tire, uncooperative weather, etc. You do amazing things. You are fantastic. The shed at the farm is gorgeous. Great job!
Just the fact you are doing all this on your own, you are doing great!
Hey Tom, It was fun to see you today in real life:). Hope your dad had a blast. Sorry that you didn't get a run or 2 in. It was a long day. Would love to share more but not sure how.
I love when Tom has his other characters participating!!!
Already subscribed a while ago. Sorry, can’t help you with that. 😀 I enjoy watching your videos.
Tom, I noticed the green at the lumber yard. We love Menards. It's an awesome store! It's nice ticking things off the list. 😊
Wish they were in Florida!
I'll tell you the same thing I have told my husband more then once over the years- to be able to fix things, to take apart and repair and put back together properly, to be able to build- engines, transmissions, houses, whatever... is a gift. Not every one can learn how to do things like that. Some of us have other strengths. To build, to fix, to repair, to make things- those are gifts not everyone has.
Tom, it’s not the taking apart that most of us have problems with it’s actually the putting things back together. Lol
Tom, what a day!! Those days when nothing quite works right are so frustrating! I like how you just move on to the next right thing! It all adds up in the end! Thanks for sharing!❤
So great that you get to/choose to ease in to the day like that! 💕
Watching you and Dawn accomplish your goals together is so satisfying 😆 keep up the good work!
What a great day and a great video! Your day was NOT boring, it was very busy and productive. Thanks for bringing us along and sharing your journey with us. Love you and Dawn so much. I love the way you work together and talk things out. Have a great week! Jane in SC ❤🙏
Tom, I just love your videos. No matter what goes on in your day, you just keep going. I’m so impressed with all the things that you can do. And your videos are NOT boring! It always makes me happy when I see that you posted another one.
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one. You’re in good company not getting everything you wanted to get done, done!
Pam here….I love Dawn’s chuckle…Rusty is so amusing to her…
The things you accomplish are truly awesome considering that so much you are attempting are learn-as-you-go!!
You can't talk in your normal voice with those glasses on... It messes with us 😂
#1 rule of marketing (yourself too)... target your exact audience. You need to have a very clear vision of what you want to achieve with your channel. Make a vision board, even if just in your head. I think you could teach a lot of young guys a bunch! Many young men or even boys don't get to see life on a farm or from a contractor point of view. You can motivate them with your experience. I wish you success! I like all your and Dawn's videos and I subscribed a while back to help your family. I subscribed to Dawn first, then Diana, then you and then your brother in law. LOL!
Ummm, back problems could be from lifting large windows all by yourself 🤔
You didn’t come help 🤔😂
such fun, although everything went wrong! the part of you running in with the window/door cracked me up.. it looked 'speeded up'! haha. soooo funny.. I hope it was just a bit of packing that fell off on the floor? love to you all, from Yorkshire, UK.
Two good exercises for core are dead bugs and broken table (bird dog). They will also help your back.
Ebbs and flows, got to love it. You’re doing awesome Tom!
Thanks so much! 😁
Hi Tom, look after your back! I hate to tell you but it's a sign that you're no longer a spring chicken. You do give your body a punishing but we just can't do what we used to. Just wait until you're 60! It's great that you've arranged get some help.😀
WHAT???!?!? I’m not a spring chicken ? 🤣😁
My Dad always said, “The good Lord will provide.” So you just keep moving forward and everything will work out. Enjoy your channel.
Isn't that always the case, when you make a list and have everything scheduled out so you know your day will run smoothly, it doesn't! Here's a core trick, while travelling in your truck, contract and hold your ab muscles 10x for 5 reps for every 5 kms or miles in your case!
Did you pick up what you dropped when you picked up that window? I’m worried it was a phone or a wallet! 😊
Yes. It was a piece of cardboard off the window 😁
Tom! You didn't mention the garage doors were installed. That is a big achievement. When I saw them in the video I was so impressed. Oh, and I have two other email addresses so I can subscribe two more times... To help you get to your goal.😃
Hahaha! Good idea!
Tom , you are totally awesome and we love you! ❤❤
