Just a quick edit: due to the capacity of orders EveryPlate is not accepting referrals from my link at this time. The home chef link does work. Thanks!
Jen, have you ever browned your flour for several minutes before adding the milk to your gravy? That's how we do it in the south and call it "brown gravy.". What you made, we call "white gravy" lol. My dad went to a restaurant in the Midwest and asked for brown gravy for his biscuits and they brought out beef gravy. He was embarrassed and ate it anyway. 😆. Also, I add a little red pepper flakes and lots and lots of black pepper to the gravy. It's gotta have those black specks all throughout. Thank you for the video! ❤️
Yay! It's almost like vlogmas with all these videos recently! Now let's see how many times I have to pause it because my kid wont go to sleep like hes supposed to.
Good to see you , I don’t care what you have in your vlog I am happy to see you . Love your smile , your pleasant personality , I need that these days ! lol
Wow, so many great recipes! I just love your voice through your microphone...so soothing and lovely. I am intrigued with the banana bread with sour cream, yum!
So loved this - very inspired. I'm a terrible cook and really dislike it if I'm honest - but the way that you enjoy it inspires and encourages me to cook more. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️ Mel from Australia
Hey Jen you might want to check the ingredients printed for the dinner rolls. The 3 eggs are omitted to that list but does show in the directions. Looking forward to making the cheddar biscuits too! Thanks
Love all these dinner ideas. Cracker Barrel mac n cheese is hands down the BEST boxed mac n cheese there is. I have tried to make rolls before and well it was a fail! I'll give this recipe a try. Stay safe and healthy!
Or you can just put the bread in a cold oven with the light bulb on. Same thing for those of us without such fancy ovens.! Also-- the slower bread rises, the better the flavor. Overnight in the fridge and it is even better.
Loved this! We've just sat and planned our next grocery shopping list from our freezer and pantry stores...to make sure we have a line of supplies but also use what we have. Great inspiration.
Hey Jen! Great video! Just wanted to share a tip I learned recently for cooking bacon without having to clean grease off my walls, stove top or from the oven... At your recommendation, I have a Cosori Air Fryer. You can cook bacon @ 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes depending on how crisp you prefer it. I cut a pound in half and the size fits in the fryer perfectly. This size also fits on a BLT just right. Clean up is so easy! Thank you for all you do! Your UA-cam friends love and appreciate you and your sweet family!
Great video Jen. I love those Hawaiian Rolls! They are so good. What is on your menu for Easter Sunday? I am making Country Style Ribs in my Crock Pot with Sweet Baby Rays BBQ sauce, Bushes Country Style Baked Baked Beans, homemade Au Gratin Potatoes which I made last week and put some in the freezer. The Rolls, Red Wine and Chocolate Fudge Cup Cakes with Cream Cheese Frosting.
I have that same Pyrex bowl from my grandmother only mine is green. I absolutely love it! I use that bowl for everything. And yes cheese on a BLT is the bomb! If I have avocado I'll put that on it also. Thanks for another great video.
The easiest biscuits I have ever made are 2 ingredients biscuits. It is 2 cups self rising flour 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Cut into 8 biscuits and bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. I often add 3/4 cup of shredded cheddar and 1 tsp of garlic powder and brush with butter when they come out of the oven for Garlic Cheddar Biscuits. I also love getting fresh produce delivered thru Misfits. It is very reasonable and for those having trouble getting fresh produce that might be an option too.
I'm going to look for that pizza crust at TJ's. Especially since flour is not to be found in my area and I'm trying to ration it and save it for bread making only! A pizza shop near us makes a pizza with chorizo, feta, sun dried tomatoes, and peppers....so good!!
Cheese on a BLT is fabulous, once I had it that way on an island in the Bahamas I always put cheese on mine! Scrumptious! Great video, I have a yummy roll, hamburger and hotdog bun recipe from my childhood, what’s up with the baking fresh bread during this time, Im making some tomorrow! I am going to try your bread roll recipe too! Thanks for sharing!
Jen, this banana bread recipe looks like it’ll definitely push me into my quarantine 15 pounds but would be so worth it! Thank you for your videos, I’m trying to be a sponge and learn as much as I can from your videos. I’m slowly building up my kitchen appliances and hope one day I’ll have as many as you. I just purchased an air fryer & can’t wait to try some your recipes! Xoxoxo-from Orange County California 💖
Hi Angel girl. You always make me hungry! Your food always looks delicious!! God bless you and your family. Have a great day. Let's pray for each other and everyone else!!!
Great video Jen! Very inspiring. Humm what am I gonna make next? Those tacos sounded good. Hugs from Texas. Hi to Conner and Keira hope their enjoying the no school.
Was that a Furi knife ??? I love my Furi knife ! Perfect size and weight for my small hands. I have made the cauliflower soup too! So de-lish. Thanks for all the meal suggestions.
Those cheddar biscuits look amazing! I've already made 2 carrot cakes, a banana bread, and a chocolate zuchinni bread during lockdown. . . today will either be those biscuits or chocolate chip cookies!
Yes, BLTs should always be toasted, in my opinion. So should tuna salad sandwiches. It's just sort of an unwritten rule for some sandwiches. 😄 Do you ever have trouble with the ends of your bread loaves sticking to the pan, since no parchment paper is visible there? Personally, I like seeing the box delivery meals, in addition to your own. It is a little like a new craft project, as you get to try new ingredients and recipes that you otherwise would probably not. Plus, it lets your viewers get an idea of what is available from the different companies, in case we want to give them a try. You seem to enjoy making them as well, so win-win! BTW, that salad is beautiful and so colorful. Taste-o-vision would be nice, but how long have we been waiting for Smell-o-vision? 🤔
Buscuits look amazing!! Everything looks great. I make my sausage gravy in my cast iron skillet and let it brown ( a bit more than normal) i use a lb and a half usually jimmy dean.( i use bulk not patties) mince a clove of garlic and little diced onion when sausage is browning then i add milk slowly after that.. scrape up all yummy goodness in bottom of pan and fill with milk( i dont measure the amt) then i take tlb or 2 of flour and use hot liquid from pan to mix in a measuring glass cup and then pour it back in pan.. try it its sooo good..hope this made sense.😍😍
Have folks tried the Costco pizza crusts? It’s a 4 pack for about $10 and it comes with a pack of sauce for each crust too! Once we open it we’ve never had trouble eating them all before the “best by” date 😂🤣😂 we love being able to make our favorite styles and we can make one in about 20 mins including bake time 👍🥰🍕
If I allow myself to buy Hawiian rolls for a non holiday occasion, that will be the end of me 😆 I will have to roll instead of walk. Those things are my brand of heroine I guess. I can't use restraint at ALL around that buttery goodness 😆
Is like Tacos 🌮 al pastor but with ground pork instead of sliced pork meat, The traditional way to make tacos al pastor is to take thin slices of marinated pork and pile them on top of each other. Next, the meat is placed on a large trompo, which literally means “spinning top.” The meat then spins around in front of an open fire until it begins to cook through, and on top of the spinning top they have pineapple, when they make the taco they shave the marinated meat onto the tortilla and they thin slice the pineapple on the meat😋they are delicious with cilantro and onion, lime juice and a very spicy salsa.
Made your (aka Martha's) banana bread recipe this week x 2 and froze 1. May be my new fav! I found a new slider recipe where you just brush the butter mixture on and I like it much better (brushed on). Not as soggy. Fruit salad looked yummy. Eek - fork sound on metal bowl!! Yes - that mac n cheese is the best! Look at the number of subscribers!!
I’ve used those pizza crusts from TJ’s before but you should know that Aldi also has their own version of it. I’ve seen them. Try making the marinara sauce from Rao’s (it’s in their first book) and it tasts just as good as their jarred sauce for much cheaper. I buy their sauce at Costco as it is much cheaper for two jars.
Another great video! I especially love the “use what you have “ videos. Just one more tip to share with you ~ put your yeast in the freezer and it will last much longer than in the fridge. 👍😁
All your meals look delicious and very tasty. Adam might like pineapple on his pizza as that is lovely too. A fav pizza of mine is ham, pineapple, mushrooms and garlic sauce on top.. Tfs
Great video. The banana bread is the recipe I used to use until I made the one from America’s test kitchen.....it’s amazing. You have to try it. They microwave the bananas to get the juice out of them and then concentrate that banana juice. Sounds weird but you talk about amazing flavor! Yummy. Now I want some. Haha
I just made Martha Stewart’s banana bread the other day it is absolutely my favorite and I always make two loaves because like you said it freezes so well😊
Just a quick edit: due to the capacity of orders EveryPlate is not accepting referrals from my link at this time. The home chef link does work. Thanks!
Ha! We just did an Every Plate box a couple of days ago! It's nice to get some fresh stuff since I'm not shopping right now.

I totally agree... crispy bacon on BLT's, not soggy. We also always toast our bread too. Everything looks so good. Thanks for the ideas.
Your videos are so comforting.
Good to see you , I don’t care what you have in your vlog I am happy to see you . Love your smile , your pleasant personality , I need that these days ! lol
I love microwaving turkey bacon on a paper towel and paper plate, super crispy and no mess or dishes-I just eat on that same plate.
OMG, cheese on a BLT is amazing! It’s the way we always do it.
I wholeheartedly agree with Adam on the pork tacos. They were a family hit and super easy to make. Thanks for sharing!!
Angel delight in butterscotch favour is amazing. X
I love making breadsticks with those crusts. Olive oil, mozzarella, seasoning. Delicious and it’s so good with a spaghetti and meatballs dinner.
You take amazing pictures of your food. The BLT had my mouth watering!
I was planning on finding a recipe for rolls to try this weekend. Thanks for sharing those I'll definitely be trying them.

BLT with avocado! Yummy. those rolls look amazing. One thing I'm definitely getting post pandemic - chest freezer.
You make cooking look so easy!! Thanks for sharing!
If you did an entire video on just baking or just salads, that would be great!
I have the same vintage yellow Pyrex bowl. I got it at a yard sale for $1. It was a great find and one of my favorite bowls!
The sausage and biscuits looks delicious
Everything looks great as usual!!😍😍

I am def going to try the Zuppa cauli soup! I love having BLTS on toast & with cheese! Lol
I have the same oven. Also just noticed the proof button 😆
You could always make one loaf of banana bread with walnuts, one without. That's what I did with my pumpkin bread, raisins for me! 😊
I bought the Cracker Barrel Mac for the first time quarantine shopping. It’s delicious! All I added was pepper. I love Cracker Barrel cheeses.
OMFG who knew my oven has a proof setting!!!! Thanks Jen!!
Or you can just put the bread in a cold oven with the light bulb on. Same thing for those of us without such fancy ovens.! Also-- the slower bread rises, the better the flavor. Overnight in the fridge and it is even better.

I'm going to look for that pizza crust at TJ's. Especially since flour is not to be found in my area and I'm trying to ration it and save it for bread making only!

Is there really anything better than homemade bread?
Hi Jen....Are you able to share your recipe for the pineapple & pork tacos? They look so yummy and o would to try them.
Could you use butter instead of shortening for the bread rolls? Thanks
Yes I think it would probably work!
Ur such a cool cook...I wanna be in quarantine at ur house😏

I don't like onion chunk either so I let them sautee before I add meat to cook down
