Was Stephen Jackson a better player than Ray Allen?
Nah
The Herd with Colin Cowherd lol no
No
In his own mind only
Ray Allen was so much better of a baller !!!! Not even close!!!
Stephen Jackson turns into a greater player the longer he stays retired.
Dan G in next year he’s going to say he was as good as mj.
He has what’s commonly known in the medical field as K.S.S. (Kenny Smith Syndrome).
“Hey! I played on a championship team. That means I’m just as good as Magic, Bird, MJ and all those other guys!”

Stephen Jackson still mad Pop chose Ginóbili over him. It wasn’t that hard of a decision bro

Ginobli was great... Euroleague MVP, Olympic MVP, All Star level NBA player

@Andre Bryant They were rookies during 2003-2004 season, which is when this particular Olympics took place...in 2004. It was a continuation of their rookie year. KingLeo80's right, they were rookies and on top of that Larry Brown wasn't giving them any meaningful PT. If he played them more, they might have won the Gold that year.
@Andre Bryant wow sophomores. They're on USA teams in year 2 but Kobe couldnt even get a starting g spot for his first 3 years

Yea he messes up a lot, but on that one he did say after that.. “you know what” and he said “if I’d trade anybody it’d be BI” like he was changing his mind so I’ll give him that one
I watched Steven Jackson most of his career. I didn’t really think he was all that good with the Spurs back in 03 and I thought he was solid in Indiana. I thought he played his best ball with Golden State back when they had there playoff run in 07. I would say overall, at best he was a good player with the willingness and ability to take and make huge shots. No way whatsoever was he a better player than Ray Allen or Ginobli or even as good.
Yeah, I even watched him when he first came into the league with the Nets and I always liked him as a player. He was tough, skilled, and a good defensive player. That said, he's delusional to think he was better than Ray Allen on any level. Ray Allen is a top 10 all time shooting guard. I don't think he was better than Manu either but at least there he can make a reasonable argument because Manu never had his own team so we don't know how good he might have been outside of San Antonio. Vince Carter no way. Stephen Jackson is feeling himself a bit, but hey he's probably earned the right to say what he wants about his own basketball career.
@@Israel-nb7ip he's no where near these guys. He's just mad that Pop cut him from the team. He can't move on.
Yeah, I understand that athletes need to have that kind of demeanor, but there's no way he's better than these guys ..not only that, but they've all been more consistent than him...Ginobili's stats are not in his favor but he's been a 6th man his entire career, accepting his role for the greater good of the team ...He could do everything and besides points, he has similar career averages but with 7 less minutes per game. Ginobili beats Jackson in every single category on a per 36 minutes basis ...Jackson was a great competitor, but he should respect these HOFamers ..
Phillip Riles he was terrible on the Spurs. He had one good playoff series that everyone remembers but they choose to forget his 26 turnovers in the 03 finals. After that the only time he started was on a really bad Hawks team. He was a glorified role player his whole career bc he liked to talk and act like a tough guy. Don’t let his post playing career interviews fool you
That's a very fair assessment. He was average at best...and I'd give him the "best" part...but honestly if it weren't for that fight in Indy, nobody would really know him.
How can u be better than Ray Allen and not Blake Griffin? 🤔😟🤔 Explain pleeeeeeeease...
Well blake is more talented so there's that

Maybe I missed Stephen Jackson prime but I just remember him chucking up a lot of mid Range shots with supreme confidence..
My man said he’s definitely better than Ray Allen, VC, and MANU FREAKIN GINOBILI?! I enjoyed this interview. Stephen Jackson SAID WHAT HE SAID!!!!!!!! LOL
Stephen Jackson had one significant run as an integral part of the Warriors as an 8th seed who beat a Dirk Nowitki led 1st seed Maverick team in first round of playoffs. Other than that he was an NBA journeyman who was never an all-star. Not even once. A good year was first man off the bench. Delusions of grandeur is a real symptom. Ray Allen on the other hand was always one of the very best players in the league. Multiple champion. A part of big three in Boston. If Steph hadn't come along, Ray would be considered the best shooter ever. Right now he is 2nd best, and holds nearly every long range shooting record.
He won one in san antonio
stak was good but he was never ray allen
Stephen jackson was so good that he played on 8 teams and never made an all star game. Much better than Ray Allen or Ginobili and Vince Carter. Why is Stephen on tv??

Stephen Jackson keeps on saying he doesn't respect this guy, that guy, those guys. But him saying he's better than Ray Allen, no one respect him. Delusional and ridiculous, Ray Allen at his peak can hold his own team, this guy is just a role player. Keep dreaming buddy. He also said he's better than Ginobili emphatically. NO one respect this fool. He is delusional.
stephen jackson def was not a role player. he averaged 20 plus and was a lockdown defender for most of his years. when youre in the top 300 of anything in the world you like to think you were just as good as or better than anyone else in the top its just how it is
Stephen Jackson's career average ppg is 15.1. He averaged 20+ppg only three seasons in his entire career - 2 at Nellie ball Warriors and 1 at rebuilding Bobcats.
While he was an adequate defender, he was never voted in any of All-Defensive team during his career.
If Jackson wants others to respect him for what he achieved (being the top-300 baller in the world), then he should have enough self-awareness to admit that he was never EVER close to tying Ray Allen's laces - let alone the man himself.
He been sipping that Paul Pierce juice 🤣🤣🤣
