    With the retirement of Stack 5, I had to compile this list. Click SHOW MORE for info on the rankings!!!
    Ranked these performances based on the pressure and value of Stephen Jackson's shots.
    #7 (23 Mar 2008 Regular Season): Captain Jack lights up the Lakers for 31 points on 6 threes, 2 of them in the final 40 secs. Before this, the Warriors had blown a 26 point lead. Jackson's first 3-pointer gave the Warriors a 112-108 lead. After Kobe Bryant's 3-pointer with 30 secs left drew the Lakers within one, Jackson connected from the top of the key with 8.1 seconds left to put the game away.
    #6 (7 Jan 2008 Regular Season): S-Jax makes it rain late in the game including 12 points in overtime for the W against the Spurs.
    #5 (11 Feb 2008 Regular Season): Jackson scored a season-high 41 points, hitting the go-ahead 3-pointer and getting 10 of the Warriors' 12 straight points in the final minutes of a stunning 120-117 victory over the Washington Wizards recovering from a 23 point deficit from the 1st half. Jackson's 3-pointer with 55.6 seconds to play gave Golden State its first lead since the opening minute.
    #4 (6 Jun 2012 Game 6 WCF): Stack 5 buckets 6 three pointers out of 7 attempts finishing with 23 points, all FGA from behind the arc for the Spurs in the elimination Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. Despite his shooting performance though, the Spurs lose the game and series after which many considered was a poorly reffed game.
    #3 (3 May 2007 Game 6 WC Playoffs R1): Baron Davis knew his tender hamstring would limit him, so Stephen Jackson stepped up to the elimination challenge. The Warriors used a third-quarter 18-0 run, sparked by Stephen Jackson's 13 straight points en route to 33 points and a franchise playoff record 7 tres out of 8 attempts to finish Dallas to become the first #8 seed to win a best-of-7 series in the first round, and just the third overall in NBA history. The Warriors also won their first playoff series since 1991.
    #2 (29 May 2003 Game 6 WCF): San Antonio outscored Dallas 34-9 in the 4th quarter and had an amazing 23-0 run in the 4th to turn a 13 point deficit into a 10 point lead. Stephen Jackson scored 11 points during the run, finishing with 24 points (5-7 from the arc) to eliminate the Mavs.
    #1 (15 Jun 2003 G6 NBA Finals): Stephen Jackson hits a trio of huge 4th quarter 3-pointers with the elimination game going neck and neck, his second three giving the Spurs their first lead of the night against the Nets on route to the NBA championship.

      I've always thought he was hugely forgotten for the 2003 Spurs. Steve Kerr gets all the credit for the comeback, but Stephen Jackson was the one who really started it. The Mavericks had such a great shot at the title that year, even without Dirk Nowitzki, and it all evaporated in a matter of minutes.

    • @cesarcanete3402
      @cesarcanete3402 4 роки тому +31

      He ain't flashy. He's not marketable because he keeps it too real & he doesn't wow you w/ spectacular dunks & handles, but he helps your team win with outside shooting & defense. I remember in one of the 2k games (forgot which one. NBA 2k8 or 2k9 I think) one of the commentators in the game saying that Larry Brown spoke very highly of Stephen Jackson in his time in Charlotte saying that he genuinely cares about his teammates & is often misunderstood of being a bad guy/thug. Stack 5 is for real.

      Moose Guy wasn't under rated. More like his ego got in his way. He had no restraint. Sometimes he was the guy you could feed of his energy. Like in 2012. WCF. But he wasn't on fire like that every single game.

      @antoniochasten3192 4 роки тому +5

      @@jonathanlaque4248 He wasn't on fire like that every single game but dude was clutch. That's what you get with shooters like that. Some games, they are unstoppable. Some games they couldn't buy a bucket at KFC. Even in games where they can't hit a shot, their mentality is to keep shooting 'cause eventually your're gonna knock one down. All it takes is to hit one or sometimes to get fouled and hit some free throws to get it going.

    I've come full circle on Stephen Jackson. I used to think he was a thug cocky S.O.B. Then I saw the Malice at the Palace doc on Netflix (you should see it too). Changed my mind about Jacks. He did (during the fight) what ANY TEAMMATE SHOULD DO! And that's having his teammates' back (Artest). JO too! Damn, that Indiana team had a great chance at the title that year (they were so close the year before). Jackson was a gutsy clutch shooter during his career, wasn't afraid of any shot, or anyone. I don't like a lot of his podcast takes...but he's as real as a man gets, there's no BS to his game on the court, and off ...much respect!

    Def one of my personal Top 15 players. He became somebody I took notice of during that 2003 Finals. He single handely closed out the Nets with those huge threes. I actually started modeling my shooting form after his. He had a very smooth jump shot from three point range. I'm glad he won a championship.
