    Glad I came across this series of shorts. I'm going to be building a surf rod with a shrink wrap handle and was thinking of doing this for the transitions at the end of the shrink wrap. Good tip about using nylon vs color fast thread. I'd like to see you take this series to the logical conclusion, and show the application of finish to the windings too. How well does this type of transition hold up from a durability perspective? Maybe you could do a full length video on this topic?

When watch the shorts, you should see a “associated video” link at the bottom. Click on it and it will take you to the long form video it was derived from.       Ah! I see the full length video now! I didn't even realize it was for a net. Same concept could be applied to rods, I guess. I've seen others do it. Thanks!
