Kaido stated that Roger showed that haki can transcend all, with him being whitebeards crewmate in his younger days and being an apprentice of Rocks who more than likely had a devil fruit or 2 I’m pretty sure Roger displayed incredible feats against them to earn that praise.

Crocus wouldn't admit his weakness in the presence of enemies or even other crew members. We plainly see how roger hid his sickness from shanks. Also shiki was never an actual threat to roger or whitebeard, only his massive fleet during the ed war.
Dude. I checked out a video of yours and I gave up on you BUT this video changed my mind. You did an excellent job, good evidence and for the most part I actually agree with you. I believe whitebeard is stronger for similar reasons too plus a few additional. Keep it up. Maybe I'll check another video.

Mihawk is older than shanks and he was already renowned when shanks had not made a name for himself. Shanks made a name for himself by dueling with Mihawk and we were never told who won the duels. That has no bearing on their current standing. Thats like saying since Crocodile beat up Luffy in Alabasta so he and Luffy must in the same level right now.

@@avalac7412 because he most likely a had mastered quake fruit, adv conquerors, supreme blade, and great haki. WB had great things haki and a fruit while Roger just had amazing haki. I think Roger's Swordsmanship and Haki was on a crazier level to have to compete with that. They're put in the same category as each other as rivals but I do think Roger was stronger. I think WBs power led to more destruction/destructive of an area span but I do think Roger's swordmanship/attacks and haki attacks were stronger and more versatile.
@@avalac7412 I think WB is still the strongest man when it comes to durability/endurance/defense/physicality/raw strength. I think Kaido is similar to how WB, Kaido is the strongest for his era but I think when it comes to offense abilities and attack power for old era Roger & Ray got WB beat and for this era Shanks and Mihawk got Kaido beat. (Honorable mentions Garp, Sengoku is up there in attack output for old era and this era Dragon is up there).

imo would make sense if whitebeard was indeed slightly stronger cause his crew on paper was weaker yet they were able to compete with the roger pirates still so that’s essentially the counter balance I could see unfolding, they were fighting the roger pirates way before oden, so there’s that to also factor in. Whitebeard was slightly stronger but had the weaker crew, plus roger was sick, but had the better crew
One thing is though I wished we seen how their other battles went previously, and also the god valley situation isn’t a good look on whitebeards part cause had he truly lost alongside rocks, shiki, bigmom, kaidou, wang zhi etc.. than there wouldn’t be much riding for him to suggest he’s superior. It’s all opinionated anyways I just have them equals just to avoid the mental gymnastics

@@avalac7412 I think even though they may have clashed multiple times I don't think Roger's crew fought them seriously, unlike WBs upcoming crew who had to go all out. WB had to start from fresh his crew was still super younger, strong younger pirates but weren't strong enough to give Roger's crew a real challenge. Even Oden himself was strong but not on their level. Even when Oden met WB first time he damn near used his strongest move and WB gave him a serious quake punch and put him out.

during the Oden flashbacks, we see Roger and Newgate fight, but we never see Newgate use any devil fruit based attacks against Roger, pure haki through all the fight, meaning their fight was only to determine who's haki was stronger, hence why they ended up in a tie, cus they were equals in haki, but if we take in consideration everything else, Whitebeard would always come up on top, he has a superior raw strenght, he has more endurance to injuries and has a really powerful DF to top it all off

It's undeniable that Whitebeards fruit as for Kaidos and so on do give that user insane power boosts
I always felt they were even in terms of Haki abilities as evident from their clash with each other but Whitebeard has a VERY powerful Devil Fruit. We got a good demonstration of its power at Marineford I can only imagine in his prime how insanely powerful it must have been. We even got a more recent display of its power from Blackbeard against Law. I’m sorry to say but between with his Haki aptitude, overall strength/endurance, and Devil Fruit I’d have to give Whitebeard the win. Also as a side note Roger may have been the Pirate King but he didn’t have the Strongest Man in the World title. Something to think about.

Big mom was also roger rival and a king of the golden era alongside shiki,whitbeard,shiki basically an yonko in roger era and they take over after xebex
WB was and is the world's strongest man for his era. WB has the strongest raw physical strength and has the most endurance and durability making him the strongest. WB did not have the strongest attack/offense power making Roger the stronger overall Pirate. Similar to how Kaido is the strongest in his currenr era he is the most durable and has basically the best defensive but is not greater offensively than Mihawk and Shanks making them stronger than him. That's what I think that's my speculation. WB does not have stronger AP than Roger, Rayleigh, and Xebec but is more durable and stronger than them defensively. Kaido does not have more AP than Mihawk and Shanks but is more durable and has a stronger defense than them.
Zage you bring out a good point its not about being the strongest to be pirate king otherwise it would have be whitebeard but BDA Law needs to see this because he says Roger's haki is stronger and as far as the sbs and what oda says there is no prove of that it's the same with Shanks. At best they’re equal but I give roger the edge. It’s always made a point that WB was able to go against roger, not the other way around. Vivre cards aren’t dependable sources, and no shiki was not an equal to roger. You’re making a lot of inferences with the whole shiki dire situation stuff. Regarding the clash, that doesn’t necessarily equate equality in haki, just 2 a clash between acoc. If that were the case, then big mom would be equal to kaido. You mention Luffy having to go through the yonko, but roger essentially did just that and more when he defeated Rocks. But most importantly, I feel like a lot of one piece fans put too much hype into titles. A lot of the OP world is built on perception. Just bc he was named the worlds strongest man by the outside world doesn’t mean he actually was. Same way kaido was named the worlds strongest creature when it seems Shanks and potentially others like dragon, mihawk, BB etc are clearly stronger. Furthermore, if kaido was named the strongest creature, wouldn’t that make him stronger than WB and thus roger if WB is stronger than him? I’m not co-signing that. End of the day, not only are there in story reasons roger was stronger, but narratively it makes sense vs WB being stronger which makes no sense.
You seriously believe that Roger and Garp single handedly defeated Rocks? After the latest chapter, I will not say that. There were people siding with Roger and Garp most probably Garling Figarland who was introduced as the leader of Holy knights and THE FORMER KING OF GOD VALLEY. It is very probable he and holy knights were also involved in their fight against Rocks Crew. Again this is my assumption so I would wait for entire details about this incident to reveal before comparing strengths. I may be wrong but I may be right as well.
You said that whitebeard was only one who went against Roger and not around, Well Roger was a pirate King. Ofc he will be glorified as the one with more authority than the other. Wb could have become pirate King if he wanted to but had different ambition and chose not to become. He could've conquered grand line before Roger. These are my arguments and I maybe wrong. I believe it is the same roger legit defeated the greatest pirate during his era, rocks d xebec, you can say those past admirals got stronger over time but for a individual to control a group like that I’m sure it’s something luffy and roger can find common ground. You can also say roger had help well luffy had help from other worst generation and samurai of wano. Also saying big mom wasn’t at her strongest I believe she was in her prime compared to what she is now. I believe it was stated roger didn’t even wanna go into her territory at that time he used the voice of all things. Roger was stated to be a demon when angry and kill whole armies. Now shiki movie isn’t canon if it was luffy should of lost, shiki legit didn’t showcase anything close to what we are seeing now. One last thing for roger to be sick and fight to that lvl is a testament and clearly the doc wouldn’t want the crew to worry to much seeing everyone already knew Roger was dieing

I think Roger and WBs rivalry was shown to show how strong Roger is . I don’t think he’s supposed to be “the strongest there is” that’s not the title he was given or wanted. White beard is the strongest and Roger was strong enough to rival him , so he was a pirate king that was very strong as well.
Early on in one piece it was always portrayed That Roger was the goat and WB was. His equal - not vice versa. Also I’d say if luffy is part of the line of inheriting roger’s archetype, it makes sense for roger to be the strongest. Unless Luffy has his own WB ?

@@Kazamacx i think Wb df gives him the edge, as their haki seems to be relatively close, we can argue roger had a stronger haki but it won't be that much, Wb df is what makes him stronger than roger imo. Cause since kaido said haki reigns, people tend to believe df are no more relevant, the same kaido was spamming his df, and it was ultimately luffy's df awakening that gave him the edge against kaido, same with law and kidd vs big mom. Strong haki + df > really strong haki alone. As df users are considered meta humans, they can still learn haki types, a df power isn't something that can be learned or canceled ( aside from bb darkness fruit and opposite fruit interaction). Haki can break certain df side abilities like law's shambles, but it can't prevent law from using his other powers, cause many thinks haki just nullify df when it's not the case. If roger,shanks, mihawk or garp had a df they'd be much stronger than what they showed.

Kaido was called the worlds strongest creature among all living things land sea and air even while white beard was alive meaning that Kaido was stronger than white beard. The reason why whitebeard being called the strongest man could mean anything. It could mean he possessed the greatest physical strength, or just the strongest df power as his df was stated to be able to destroy the world. His df played a major factor
Kaido got his title when Whitebeard was old and sick basically when wb was declining kaido was rising and that’s how kaido got his title

The reason Roger is stronger then Whitebeard is purely because Sengoku said Rocks was Roger´s greatest rival, more so than Whitebeard would come to be. Without that line Whitebeard would be 100% the strongest of the two and even with that line some could debate Rocks diference in power at the time was higher than Whitebeard ever was but both Roger and Whitebeard got stronger than Rocks making Whitebeard still the strongest and Rocks still the greatest rival. Personly i feel Rocks was potraid to be the Strongest non-legend character (Imu, Joyboy) and so Roger is the 2nd strongest. Garp could be the 2nd strongest but theres nothing potraying him above Whitebeard like that Sengoku line so without counting Legend characters it goes 1-Rocks 2- Roger 3- Whitebeard 4- Garp 5- Sengoku 6- Shiki and not gonna reveal more cause it would spark an endless debate.

I mean in Kaido memories there is only Kaido and big mom who's far more weaker than their primes! No sign of wb present there and it's possibly impossible to defeat whole of the crew by just two members there's something for sure which oda hasn't shown yet!

At God valley roger (39) whitebeard (36)and the other were already in their prime. Kaido was only 21 years old at this time and it wouldn't be until this very same incident in which he would receive his devil fruit from big mom.
Sorry but kaido surpassed whitebeard in strength at some point after coming into his prime. As the strongest land sea and air and among all living things. There has been no more definitive title than Kaido's.
If kaido had only surpassed whitebeard when he got older then they simple would of retracted his title and give it kaido.
But it's simple whitebeard's title refers to humans and this includes mihawk shanks and roger especially in his prime.
However kaido's title goes beyond that encompassing every living thing. I don't know why people try to bypass that.

@@daryussamuel4657 Kaido getting the title when an old WB was still alive doesn't mean Kaido is automatically above a Prime WB. Both Roger and WB reached their prime 2 years after god valley. 1. Titles normally shouldn't be taken too seriously, 2. WB's title wasn't based on him being the strongest in the world, rather it was more because of his ability to destroy the world and his way of living as a pirate with his insane influence, biggest crew, most territories, etc. It also wouldn't make narrative wise sense for Kaido to be stronger than Prime WB because that would mean Luffy already is stronger than Roger.

Not only were the 3 at the forefront in the flash back panel against roger and garp. But the 3 have the highest bounties after roger himself further indicating their dominance across the seas.
When people try to exclude big and kaido from the legends it literally has me so puzzled and I wonder if we are reading the same story.
I agree about whitebeard's title and how it came about more so on everything not only strength.
But narratively kaido surpassed him at some point as he too along with big mom have also been ruling the seas with whitebeard for decades. Otherwise kaido's statements about fighting the other yonko and and still being known as the strongest land sea and air in a 1 v 1 don't make any sense to me.
He kept fight people said to be stronger than him until he was known as strongest and he is tired of looking at a landscape in which no one is stronger than him.
