@@Ax1oM11oo Bro you can say the Data books don't mean anything or whatever, but they quiet LITERALLY state that he is the World's Strongest Swordsman, not only in name, but in actuality. This includes Shanks, and at least any other living Swordsman. It's not like Whitebeard or Kaido's title, it is as close as you can get to official confirmation. You can't really argue with that without being biased towards Shanks or something.

We don’t know enough about IMU or black beard to say anything, Beckmen is said to be stronger than the Admirals; Shanks is stronger, and Mihawk IS stronger than Shanks, so currently, Mihawk is on top

Statements and feats:
The other Yonko are gone, Admirals performed a little worse against g5 luffy than Kaido did, and Shanks was likely stronger Kaido since he 1. Pushed him away on his was to Marine ford to kill White beard, and that already put him in Kaido’s top 5, and Mihawk is likely stronger than shanks due to statements saying Mihawk is the worlds greatest swordsman, skills even greater than that of red Haired Shanks, and him wielding the strongest sword in the world, and being the only 2nd black blade for over 800yrs, and seeing shanks as someone not worth fighting anymore after loosing his arm
Realistically the only argument for Mihawk being that high is narrative, he has to be stronger than Zoro until EoS pretty much. Aside from that he has a duel where he maybe beat Shanks more than 12 years ago before he was a Yonko. In the current story his best feats are against Vista and Jozu, it doesn't even look that good. I still believe he'll be somewhere around Yonko level, but putting him in the top 1 is like putting Dragon or Imu top 1, sure they could be but until they show something it's just stupid.
His best feats are the black blade that only one other person achieved. And that person is regarded as a god in the land of wano.
And also the fact that he is bored in the war of the best, fighting multiple strong people and going home without a scratch on him.

That's actually a good point but I think it's a plot hole since mr1 also tanks Mihawk's attack which was meant for luffy but right after mihawk one shots him so it shows that he does use breath of all things when he fights but even if that wasn't the case that still doesn't make mihawk any less because jozu only barely blocked or should I say deflect Mihawk's casual one handed air slash.. Zoro can block two yonko combined attack for a few seconds but that doesn't mean he is close to their level weaker charcters can block stronger charcters attack but that doesn't mean they are the same level

Thank you for this video! People ask me why Mihawk is stronger than Shanks? But the question should be why isn't he(narratively)? There is nothing that prohibits Mihawk from being stronger than Shanks. It doesn't go against statements, it doesn't mess up the story. Sure, currently Shanks has the better feats, but Oda also still hasn't focused on Mihawk as he has recently been doing with Shanks. He is still saving him. And for good reason.
NOthing that prohibits Shanks being stronger than him either. Mihawk wankers like to point out at Shanks being a swordsman but let's not forget that Shanks is denied a challenge just because he's missing a limb while accepting a far weaker pre-ts Zoro. This means that he isn't considered a "worthy" due to his handicap. This also answers the question if Zoro will have to fight Shanks even if he's stronger? No, for the same reason as Mihawk.

Mihawk sought out Shanks, not the other way around. Shanks swordskill is so prominent that even being younger Mihawk still took notice and he wasn't disappointed. Shanks never care about the title but all of you cares about it so much. Shanks without any second thought, gave up his dominant arm for Luffy. Even with just one arm Shanks still is the gauge the Marines used to scale Mihawk's swordskill. Being handicap makes him an unworthy opponent in a duel, but doesn't mean he is under him. Title is given to someone who worked for it. I'm not saying the title is useless, but Shanks is beyond of just a swordsman, he's a Yonko now.

Mihawk's eyes are the same as imu's, zunesha's and cavendish's with hakuba. These eyes may represent some kind of curse/restriction: cavendish's is self explanatory, zunesha's is the punishment given to him from the void century that was only broken after momonosuke gave him the order to attack jack, not too sure about imu's, but mihawk's was definitely a restriction from getting stronger

Mihawk isnt the strongest. Mihawk is a obstacle for Zoro. Zoro will never surpass Luffy(which puts Mihawk under EOS Luffy). Being WSS doesnt make u the strongest in the verse. Just means your the best with the sword.

People always hype up Shanks as the Observation Killer, who’s Observation do y’all think he was cancelling?
Pretty sure that was “Hawkeye”, wouldn’t be surprised if Mihawk has the best Observation in the entire verse.
I also think that was shown in Marineford, when Luffy saw the vision of his arms getting cut off, wouldn’t be surprised if Mihawk put that vision in his head. I could see his Observation being so advanced that he can give other people visions of Future Sight (which could be incredibly confusing/deceiving in a high-level fight, i.e. vs Shanks).

The only Pirates that have a higher bounty are former or current Yonko. Shit the Yonko he’s affiliated with has a smaller bounty.
He clashed with Shanks multiple times. That alone shows that he has CoC. That’s the only way he would be able to hang with Shanks in a fight as Shanks has oppressive Haki.
We have never seen him get serious. He’s been sandbagging in most of his fights. (Beat Zoro with a toothpick, Stated multiple times that he didn’t want to be at Marineford, and the Vista fight he was not paying full attention to him.)

Every feat we have seen from Mihawk has been pre timeskip before haki was introduced. So it’s very unfair to compare him to people that we have seen use haki post time skip. Hawkeyes does not even have color of kings in the current data book. His best showings are beating Mr. one Luffy and Zorro how are we to compare him to someone like red hair when red hair has literally taken on two admirals the strongest creature and captain kid with no effort stop playing games. Fax, one thing this also confirms is that yes, Shanks did get weaker due to the loss of his arm. And if he did have his arm Mihawk would still have an equal. Since the databooks also refer to Shanks and Mihawk of having the strongest rivalry, and since unlike individual power, rivarlies are timeless, so theres no reason to why it wouldn't apply to rivalries such as roger and garp. So it really puts mihawk and shanks into a different strength perspective and that yes, luffy surpassing these legends would make him above roger as well

And Blackbeard position in the story is to be Luffy final opponent for the One Piece. The chance of him having (Advanced) Conquerors Haki is very high, otherwise he wouldn't be able to compete with Luffy, which doesn't make sense.

What I hate about the "World's Strongest" monickers, is that fanboys seem to be taking this as an absolute. Or at least the title holder somehow has a huge gap of power as let's say the "2nd strongest". Mihawk fans are the most guilty in this bias. Followed by WB and lastly, Kaido fans. In reality, even they have rivals that could potentially rival or even exceed them in power.
I like Shanks better but I personally think that both him and Mihawk are still rivals in overall combat capabilities and will have a 50/50 odds of winning for both sides.

Again, the "World's Strongest Man" has somebody who rivals his power in the name of Roger. Shanks only got stronger despite losing an arm from hereon and only a delusional moron would actually believe that he can't take the fight vs Mihawk at an extreme diff level.
Even if if it's "in name and actuality", he's most likely not above rivals like Shanks by a landslide. As Mihawk is not the only monster in the OP world. Aside from Shanks, monsters like Whitebeard, Rayleigh, Garp, Big Mom are still around despite their old age. Kaido's also a monster with the "World's Strongest" monicker, Luffy who just got a divine power, Black Beard who keeps getting stronger devil fruits and even the Admirals are not some chumps to scoff at.
I swear to fking god, people only takes these statements from the Vivre Cards or the Ace Novels seriously as long as it suits their biases.

Nobody cares about being a swordsman except Zoro and Mihawk and maybe vista that’s it. If Roger or Whitebeard ( who had a stronger title then Mihawk or shanks or Kaido r big mom or Luffy had the ambition to be the best swordsman then Mihawk would not be the worlds greatest swordman. That’s it. Being the strongest swordman doesn’t mean your the strongest in a fight. It was explained during the egghead arc that Mihawk has more skills that’s it. It ain’t zoros story it’s luffy. @@leeroyking1088 don’t see really why oden being of the strongest pirates is a problem. He became many times stronger than he already was after the voyage and then almost defeated kaido. Garp can’t even knock out Kuzan and he gets stabbed by shiryu. Kaido has fought enough people to judge who is really strong.

Though Mihawk is the strongest sword user, I don’t think narratively he can be the strongest period.
Oda throws around “the strongest” title a lot. Whitebeard is the worlds strongest man, kaido is the worlds strongest beast, Mihawk is the worlds strongest swordsman, etc.
But who among these guys is the “actual” strongest? They’re the strongest within certain categories and for certain qualities, but these aren’t absolute statements.
I don’t think Mihawk scales to primebeard or Roger. He loses to them both extreme diff. I think both he and shanks are extreme to insane diffing onigashima kaido 1v1.
What is for sure unquestionable is that Mihawk has the best sword technique. But sword technique isn’t all there is to combat. There’s other weapons, devil fruits, haki, different types of martial arts, etc. Mihawk is the top sword user among sword users, and if sword fighting was the only kind of fighting that existed in one piece, then he’d be the strongest. But there’s other kinds of combat in the one piece verse.
I think conquerors haki is the main thing that is keeping Mihawk from being decisively above people like Roger, prime beard, and debatably also shanks. Conquerors haki seems to just be a massive step above armament haki. White beard, Roger and shanks never did anything as sophisticated as redirecting bullet trajectories with a blade. But they have demonstrated feats of destructive power far beyond what Mihawk has so far by simply taking a wild swing with conquerors infused blades. There’s a difference between using swords to channel your haki and using haki to enhance your swords. Roger white beard and shanks do the former whereas Mihawk does the latter.
I guess we’ll only truly know where things will fall when oda decides to draw it out. Until then he’ll make basic and very important details unknown just to keep generating discussion.

Mihawk is not the strongest simply by the fact that the Gorosei exists...
There is not debate anymore, if you have common sense..
That flashback a few months back showed us that the Gorosei are immortal....and that they are extremely old...maybe from the Void century, as Imu..
Now...if you introduce characters that had performed on them the immortality surgery...they are not weak.. and might be the strongest in the series.
The man is an allegory for Dracula, a being so powerful that was literally suffering from success because such power left him empty and without joy to fill the void in his sould. And he will die just like Dracula, I believe, when he decides to do so.
