These squares are lovely. I thought I might be one of the only ones who couldn't stand an end hanging around and weaved them in before I go more than a round or two, but you seem to be close with your ends too😊 Love your tutorials as the speech is clear and not overly fast chrochet movements.

I have always struggled with the moss stitch. It seems easy with the most basic of stitches, but invariably always puckers or pulls or the chain spaces are hard to identify in the first few rows. I appreciate the ‘slowness’ and attention to detail in your tutorial. You have given me renewed hope! I might finally be convinced that moss stitch isn’t the worst stitch in the world! Thank you x

This is gorgeous and so easy. Except I'd start with a 2 loop Magic Ring. Once pulled tight, and remembering that the yarn is already going around the centre twice, just cut off the tail. No weaving in necessary. I'd also finish with an invisible join, but that's just aesthetics.

Lovely pattern and an upgrade to the granny square. How large can you go with this? Will it be good for a tv throw? I also liked the demonstration yarn but you didn’t mention it on your side information panel. Can you please tell me Robin…many thanks 🧶🧶 Maria

Oh apologies for that Maria! I used Papatya Super Stitch for the demonstration 😃

Oh and you can take it as large as you wish! 😃🧶

Another wonderful tutorial! I love the moss stitch. While I was watching I thought “why not just keep going and make one large square for a blanket?” What do you all think?

They are lovely. Quick question if I may. I am trying to crochet a cat's tail in " the cat in the window Afghan". It is a grey background and the tail is black. The tail is one stitch in thickness and the pattern moves the tail over by one stich every few rows. For some reason I have gaps in that the black tail is broken up by the background colour and I have tried everything. Any ideas? Hope this makes sense.

Yes, closing the hole does make a difference. It was bothering me too 😊

Beautiful work and tutorial once again. I'm only at rnd 2, but I can't wait any longer 😂😂!! Am I correct in assuming that if you don't want to change colour, you just ignore the colour change part and carry on? Ooooh also, lush colour on your nails ❤❤.xx

Hi Dawn, it depends what yarn you are using really but definitely give it a go. Some people are using them as coasters.😀

Long time fan, infrequent commenter, and I have a quick question. This seems like it would possibly be easier with a magic ring for the beginning? Is there a specific reason you went with a slip stitch start? Thanks so much! 😊

Also how come you decided to flip your work while working in the round? Just style?

To be clear: not criticisms!! This pattern has my brain working in all kinds of ways on all different ideas and I’m curious. Great video!

I really like this pattern but to be honest I would not crochet it if I had to sew all the tails in. I say "love those jogs". I really enjoyed this tutorial.

Exactly, no one wants to sew in tails!😅
