This product is awesome. I did my kitchen countertops,
5 months ago, and they still look great.

Bought the product and worked well. The countertop in video was in pristine shape compared to mine. However I used Bondi body filler to repair damage since I didn't have days waiting for drywall filler to dry. Coatings dry a lot faster than they say. 2 coats of primer 4 coats of stone coating 2 coats of clear in a day. Would use again if had too

I'm curious if you re-did your counter top and how it turned out.

I wish this were available in the US. Would work great for my convict made cabinets and counter tops.... im not kidding, the wood working department at the Huntsville Prison made mine and it shows. This was before they had a good teacher I guess.

Hi, I have applied a first coat of clear coat epoxy on an existing concrete countertop. The resulting surface is not very soft. I want to apply a second coat. Should I sand between 2 coats to obtain a soft surface after the second coat? If not, how can I get a softer surface with the second coat? Thank you!

I used this product and was not happy with the dark slate. The epoxy that you do at the end left big cloudy spots. We followed the instructions to a t. Perfectly. People who choose the lighter stone colors, won't see this because the darker you go the more you will see it. I had to go to Timber Mart and buy a melamine to cover it up. It looks beautiful. Its nice and texturized because of the stone product. But in the end I had to cover it up with melamine.

If you are going to re-caulk it prior to refinishing it. Then please use a good paintable caulk.

Hi, wondering if this product can also be used to cover kitchen's old wall tiles touching to the countertops which need covering with "Beautytone". Also please supply us with the list of countries where this product is available (Australia?). Many thanks for your great informative video.

I have tile countertops and would love to do this over tile, but it seems like you would first need to fill in the grout lines in order to have a smooth surface. Any thoughts on whether or not this can be done over tile counters?

IS THIS MATERIAL WATERPROOF? i mean will not be damaged by time and water using?

  • @givemeaforkingname

Not exactly " Overnight " as the box states. Weren't there at least two allow to dry/cure for 24 hours ? The second coat of "stone" before applying the first clear coat, and the second/final clear coat before light use. With a recommended full week of curing.
Still, thanks for the video, it will be helpful in making my consideration to try it or not.

Did you or do you caulk around the sink edge, faucet and back-splash area with some type of silicone caulk, clear or colored before or after the process is complete or at what point in the process, or do you need to caulk at all? Thanks ahead of time.

I am thinking to use this application on the counters of my old cabinets we are about to take out and place in my studio in the basement. The old counters don't have rounded edges as show here, but square edges. Will this also work and look good on square edges?
I'll be using these counters mainly for framing artwork, so no sink or kitchen use as far as food is concerned.

I had the same thing happen as Jamie Karpiak (who commented a year ago and got no response). Can you please tell me what to do if you get a bubbly white finish after the first clear coat. I gently stirred the mixture and barely put any pressure on the roller when applying, plus I never went back over it because I didn't want to get more white patches. Can the first clearcoat be sanded and redone?

    • @dianafisher1000
      @dianafisher1000 8 років тому

+David Hicks Thanks for letting me know I wasn't the only one experiencing the white patches. I will try your idea about using a brush instead of the roller. Do you know if there is a clear coat than can be used, other than what is included in the kit?
