You have a real talent for showing these repairs in a simple and easy to understand way. Thank you for taking the time to put together the videos. Keep up the great work!!!
This video is very helpful. I just did 5 pairs on an 8335R. From this video I learned about I didn’t need to change those o rigs in the back. Huge time saver!
Son works for Case IH dealership now. (New location with air conditioning in shop!!!). Interesting to hear his take on repairs and see your videos. Definitely takes talent to keep today’s equipment field ready!
Those inner o rings are a real son of a gun to replace! Learned my lesson, I only change them if they look torn or show some type of sign of damage. Usually carry a couple sets of those in my truck inventory and if need to use them at least I have some to replace. Great video ZK!
Deere has had a big problem with these couplers. 6R thru 8R series. They bleed off they the drain port back to the rear end housing so the won’t hold pressure or when connected they will blow the coupler out like it wasn’t hooked up properly. There is a reason most all dealers have multiple ones of these in stock.
How did you know that the couplers were bad and not the o-rings when you tested them? Obviously you were right but my first thought would be to replace the o-rings. Great video btw
As I watch your videos, I learn more and more about the late John Deere Combines. So much Electronics ! Very complex. How often do you go to JD Tech schooling ?
On the coupler cartridges are they smearing the outer ring? We have issues on our agco machines with the ring forward of the collar. Most of them just get the one ring. The are usually smeared towards the rear
@@ZKMasterTech There is a hex end. If you protect it with leather and put in vise you can seperate it. Less than 20ftlbs. There are 2 orings that can be replaced. Problem: shoots oil when nothing connected and scv is actavated.
I really appreciate your videos, congratulations. I am an engineering coordinator at Dynamics, the largest manufacturer of hydraulic couplings in Latin America. I sent you an email, if you can check it, thank you. Again, congratulations on the work.
Thanks for putting in all the time and effort in making these videos, we all really appreciate it!
You’re welcome Justin!

That was interesting to see how simple it is to change out the ports. I’m always impressed with your videos.
Keep up the good content buddy! Nothing better than Green Iron. God Bless
Fantastic informative videos. Keep it up. Great job. greetings from South Africa
Tolle, interessante, lehrreiche Videos, danke 🇨🇭

Ahh.....that makes sense. Thanks for the reply.
What was the reply? I replaced barrell and it doesn't hold pressure, going to change the inner seals next.
Always very interesting thanks for sharing Zeth 🦘👍
You should do a walk through of how a combine works
I should do a video of "the path of the kernel".
Good stuff men👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
Good good video !!!! Thank you
Another great vid! Too late for me,I tried to fix! Had to call a trained professional! Lol
As I watch your videos, I learn more and more about the late John Deere Combines. So much Electronics ! Very complex. How often do you go to JD Tech schooling ?
I take multiple online classes and go to a John Deere training center for in person instruction once or twice a year. Classes are 2-3 days long.
Beautiful
Will the address numbers for the GLM pads be the same on older machines? Under RC1 but still 20, 21, and 23? Thanks! Love the content you have!
Yes I believe so
Can you show us some time how to rebuild the couplers?
I might have to if we can’t get them anymore!
Can you rebuild the old ones so you could have a couple spares laying around or is that not recommended?
Can i make one of those hoses up with the gauge?
Is the 8430 outlets supposed to hold psi the same? Thanks
Yes
If i replace the barrels and my Implement still leaks down overnight then what would you suggest @@ZKMasterTech
You ok Mr. Z? Just haven’t heard from you in a while. You are definitely conspicuous in your absence.
Yes I’m fine. Just been really busy getting combines ready to roll and now we’ve got combines in the field. Got a new video coming soon!
@@ZKMasterTech cool beans man!

Does he release the pressure because of this?
😊
I have a. John Deere 2032r question - how can I get a hold of you?
Message me on Instagram
Hey, my rear hitch is all the way down, and the controls to put it up doesn’t work any idea? The tractor is 8245 R John Deere
do you know how to change the levers that push the barrels of the svc mine don't push enough and i want to change them
oh hey, do you guys see any X9 combines yet?
if they are not holding pressure on CNH 4WD tractors they will actually pop all the couplers out when enough pressure builds up.
Is it a bit silly to go bottom to top when you then push the dirt out of the upper ports all over the new bottom ports?
👋👋👋👍👍👍
Would you comment a little on what you see on the future about parts availability ?
Are you okay I’m missing you and your videos hopefully your okay
I’m good. Just busy. New video coming soon.
Not saying you did it wrong but dont those bodies have an oring and a back up ring that need to be replaced also?
Yes they do but i check them as i go. Usually they are fine.
@@ZKMasterTech I gotcha. Most time down where I am at its better to replace them. Alot of hired hands just shove the male couplers in dirty
@@RdNk2509 the new couplers have o rings and backup rings in already where the coupling fits in
Hello! Let's watch...
Can you rebuild the old ones instead of replacing them
You would have to have the housing machined and have a hardened steel sleeve installed in the housing for the lower bearing.

Yeah I seen the email. Sorry I've been to busy to do anything lately.
Wow i'm pleased my 30 year old Massey doesn't need all this work doing, seems Massey's were built to last
Replacing couplers, would this fix hose's popping out on cold mornings be for the hydraulic oil warms up? Our 9620 is terrible for for this.
