  • Here are a few clips of me playing my 2016 Gibson J15. Just to give you an idea as to what these guitars sound like unplugged.
These sound clips came from my review video, so if you are interested in hearing my thoughts on this guitar, or learning a little bit more about it, I'll have a link to that video at the end.

I own a 2014 J-15….I installed super jumbo Stainless steal frets and a western mini pickup and locking Kluson locking tuners and I just installed Elixir 13-56 Medium PB Nanoweb strings but trying to figure out if I like the 12-53 PB better I also installed a Tiger stripe pickguard and my J-15 has highly figured Walnut with sapwood and that looks like Angel wings running down the middle of its back

Thinking of getting the j15 in burst, great video. What mic are you recording through please.

I love the look of the Burst J15's. Beautiful guitars. The mic is an MXL V250. It's a really inexpensive mic if you catch it on sale, but it works really well for recording acoustic guitars. Better than my Blue microphones.

Elixir Light Gauge Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb. I tried a few different sets and brands, but the Elixirs were my favorite on this guitar.
