17:39 was shield riposte in action. When you lower your shield in tiny moment before his weapon hits it, you can almost imediately attack him. Don't think devs meant it to be, but it works. And his axe stunlocks your shield because of high impact power, but with this tech you can avoid stun, and it also works with mini bosses, like skeleton champ or wraith etc

OOoooohh!! I see that now!!! hoy crap - guess I just got lucky with that timing, because I definitely didn't do it intentionally.. just in the flow of the fight. I can see how mastering the shield riposte timing/tech could give you a big advantage against heavier melee weapons, thanks for pointing it out, I'm still learning!!
I would love to see a livestream from you, not just clips. A full game would be a treat to see
I'll keep that in mind :) problem is a full game has lots of down time, and I'm worried people would get bored of watching me skulk around in the dark for 8 mins without any action, you know what I mean?
@@YourBoyBlinn Thats exactly what I want to see though. I guess some people would want just action all the time, but this is what I feel would be way more interesting. How you move in the dungeons, how you prep for an ambush, what you do in between the fights even if its just sitting in one spot for 4 minutes or something would be really really interesting to me. We'd share in the anticipation of the run.

I liked the tech of using the buckler in block stance to gain move speed AND MDR! With the addition of Druid (another mage class) to the game, now would be a great time to make a full "Inquisition mage hunter's guide" >:D

Fights 4 and 6 were Crazy! Game sense and decision making so on point.
Glad you liked em! I'm getting pretty calm with solo fights these days, but the 1v2 combat still makes my heart race uncontrollably haha - glad I still had enough composure to make good decisions :) Thanks for the feedback my guy!
I started watching your videos right before multi-classing and instantly fell in love. Fighter is my main class and I really like using shield. I have always found it to be one of the most under looked things in the game. It's such a power house if used correctly.
I do wish the combat was a bit more realistic with how things collide with each other. The ability to clip through a shield while hugging someone is so weird to me lol.
But I really enjoy your videos and I learn a lot through them. You're the one who got me back into the dex fighter build and it's been one of my main builds ever since.
I would definitely recommend weapon mastery at the moment with survival bow. Survival bow is insanely good with helping out your ranged damage, getting in some poke, etc.

and yes, shield blocking can be janky and weird up close, but for the most part I find it super fun and pretty reliable. glad to hear this content has inspired you

You get the white skelly skin from buying a founders edition. Plus if you just buy the game no 72h wait. So probably new players. Experienced players uaualy run elf or orc class dependent lol. The nightmare skin is the earned one.

Hey Blinn, would you consider swapping Sword Mastery to Weapon Mastery, that way you can use a bow and you can also maybe change the arming to a rapier? Is rapier even better in your opinion? Thank you for the videos!
Heya!! I have been thinking of using weapon mastery to equip a recurve and a backup rapier. I like the recurve because it's easier to fire multiple shots than a crossbow, and I find it easier to aim also. Plus the rapier has a lower move speed penalty, and combined with a buckler shield, that can make the fighter move pretty quick. Thanks for the awesome comment!!
