Just built a full kit for only 1400 gold based off this build guide! Str20/Vig18/Agi20/Dex20/Will24/Res25 - HP 126, Buff Duration 51.7% with no weapons out! 32 PDR and amazing to me anyways 62% Regular Interaction Speed! W-Build guide brother
Not sure if you are aware of this, but buff duration also increases the duration of 2nd wind and healing pots without reducing the amount of healing per tick, so it actually increases the total value of said skill and utility item. Cool video. Love your content
The depths that you are willing to explore with the Fighter class is so interesting and refreshing. Your videos always inspire me. It is easy to become complacent and use what 'works' but the experimenting is part of the fun! It makes us more well rounded players as well.
Inetersting ideas! 20:52 it would have been a good move to jump and press x to switch to bare hands (doing it in the air will preserve momentum from before taking the action, jumping while taking out the weapon again does the same and reduces the move speed penalty significantly), you wouldve caught him, if not use the francescas to slow! 21:49 nicely secured, though when taking out the francesca you should again jump, aswell as when switching to potions, and when drinking them mid combat!
Double upload this week is appreciated! This build is quite interesting. That warlock at the end was a good way to finish the video off. You know something I struggle with is blocking the felling axe. For some reason I block high but it is the weapon that I have most problems to block. Is there any tips you got for that? It would be interesting to see a video focused on barbs or some more clips including them.
hmmm nice Barb-focused reco! I'll consider that :) for the felling axe, I hear your pain. feels like the weapon is hard to block for two reasons: 1) the attack animation is deceptive, with a slow windup phase and very fast attack/swing phase, combined with a touch of server desync, you really have to anticipate the attack and have your block in position the moment you detect any deviation from the normal/neutral character model.. and 2) the weapon does come more from the middle-out, and is less fully 'overhead' than other 2-handers, so keeping your shield more infront of you and not looking up to the extreme might help. keep me posted on your progress!!
BAHAHAHA omfg.. totally post-combat adrenaline spike. could barely see let alone recognize the health shrine. can you tell I don't win big fights like that very often? I just wanted his legendary pieces & a rope ladder :)
I have started to run this perfect block build and its just genuinely so much fun LOL. Even in duos against ranged it just feels good. You really opened my eyes to how good some of these alternate stats are... even in low tier lobbies you can approach 20% MR, 50% pdr and have the shield and second wind it feels great. thank you!
oh this comment made my week, so awesome to hear you've been enjoying some alternate looks at the game!! thanks for sharing your feedback & hope to see you around
oh snap, gg ruby wiz! I only won because I could catch you during the rest, methinks.. hope they sort out wizard soon, so you don't need to plop your butt on the ground after fighting 3 goblins! thanks for the comment & for saying hi :)
@@YourBoyBlinn I play a bard, so the shield blocking tips video was still super useful. But watching you really made me wanna buy the game and create a fighter to try it too!
@@YourBoyBlinn So I tried the shield fighter and it already feels like I'm getting more kills in pvp than on my bard. There's just something very satisfying about blocking attacks with your shield and bonking people on the head in return. Now I'm torn which class to play :D
@@Oakenlix hey great to hear!! thanks for coming back with a repot -- head bonking counter-attacks sure are satisfying!! keep it up & hope to see you around
I was surprised that you're only spending 1.5k one kit and that is considered expensive. I typically spend about 2-3k on my kits and the difference is there. It's hard to notice at first, but with my budget kits I very often died and when I looked at my opponent they were close to half hp. But when running my expensive kits (and let's be real 700 more gold on a kit isn't absurd, it's a lot but it's not ridiculous) when I died my opponent would be on a sliver of hp. It's the difference between having no chance in certain scenarios, and having a chance if you had played better. I try to get blue weapons, and make sure more than half of my armour is purple with my jewelry being blue or green depending on pricing and available stats
@@YourBoyBlinn yeah the stress is insane. the first time i ran an "expensive" kit that was close to 3k i killed a warlock who had much better gear worth a lot more than mine. I had already paid off my gear on the first successful run, but 4-5 raids later when I died and lost my kit it was still devastating. even though I replaced it with better gear that feeling didnt fully go away
I just got deceived by a rogue who pretended to be friendly, started to clear mobs and he backstabbed me. You mentioning that you disabled VOIP and the reasons for- and the experience today have come to a head so now I too have disabled VOIP . It's unfortunate as I did try my best to cater to players who clearly did not want to engage in PvP but you really do have the right perspective about it. I appreciate your videos and disposition, you're gem in this community o7
awh so sorry to hear you were betrayed.. I was watching some other people play after I exited and saw one player totally kill another after it seemed like they were being friendly and it really bothered me. absolutely gutted that kind of thing happens, but it does! gotta have your guard up always just a little I guess :) thanks for your comment & good luck in your adventures!!
If you have the will to do it, leave voip on and just ignore their attempts to make friendly. VOIP on gives you a way to hear other players and groups.
You should try Shield Slam, it recently got buffed to where you can use it when blocking. And the cooldown is like 7 seconds as well as the animation being faster, i think its pretty good right now
not taking second wind means you dont have to worry about using campfires to get second wind back up. Which means you can take more surgical kits or other meds which can get you back in the fight faster. It also means less time for casters to get their spells back up!
hey great video men if been playing so much buff duration Fighter its really cool and fun to play. but did you know that when you have a lot buff duration your potions will also be longer means that health potions will heal more and your second wind will also give you more heal.
Gonna give this a go when I get home! I'm swapping some pieces around to get more mdr, but I'm keeping the spirit of stats and priorities. Got 60% buff duration, and 40% mdr, I wanna say. I opted for swift over barricade since my gear choices cost more speed than yours and 8 speed is REALLY hard to say no to
@@YourBoyBlinn yes i respect that, if youre having fun but the way youre building kits its just funny, if u wanna build buff duration you should focus on chest legs and necklace because there it can roll up to 10%, you only bought 5 or 6%
@@acr5917 this is how I learn!! put a vid out, then smart people tell me how I can make it WAY better haha -- thanks for the input, I'll retool some things and make improvements
Hey Blinn, got to the warlock fight and have a quick question. You said that perfect block was a big boon for the fight at about 31:30, but how exactly did it give an edge against a Kris dagger demon form warlock?
This is what I'm completely confused about....as far as I understand, perfect block will have no effect when fighting against a dagger which only has an impact power of 2. The heater shield already has an impact resistance of 5 and the buckler has 6 according to the wiki. Thus, a dagger will only be able to produce light staggers and never medium staggers (impact power = impact resistance) or heavy staggers (impact power > impact resistance). I can imagine perfect block being more useful with parrying with a weapon with parrying having a lower impact resistance than the shields.
@@clydemiddleton7128 the wiki doesn't say it does that, though interesting tidbit that blocking a blow of corruption strike does consume it for free. Apparently demon form ability, exploitation strike, can give an impact 4 attack but it doesn't read like it's an addition to the weapon being used. I think I'd rather have the extra HP, especially with the new information that apparently second wind does benefit from the buff duration now. I'll keep my mind open to perfect block if I see a lot of morning star clerics and heavy hitting barbs
Man I can’t imagine the mental breakdown the player you kill are getting when they look at your build. That wizard and ranger need some psychological care after you smacked them 😂
Na man, your videos Is legit pure comedy. You are god with heater shield. But only you can manage to destroy the legendary demon warlock, not get ambushed by geared rogue and in the end almost die to a rogue that had nothing. Green trash. That’s pure comedy and surreal shit I can’t stop laughing
Uh. I thought buff duration would extend the healing of Second Wind, not delay it. You learn something new everyday ! Thank you for your awesome videos and your positive behaviour. We need more people like you in pvp games.
@@Chucboris Oh. Well as a fighter main, that sucks, but i guess we already had plenty buffs to the class so can't complain ahah. Thanks for your insight !
Aaah, buff duration. Yes... buff duration. How much has it fallen from it's glory days. What glory days? Well, when early access dropped one year ago, each item could have max 5% buff duration, and you could have 11 items, for a total of 55%, compared to today, where you can get max 70% buff duration only from item mods. You may think, wow, buff duration got buffed, but the fact is, it got nerfed, because 50% buff duration back then meant a 6 second buff divided by ( 1 - 0.5 ) making it last a total of 12 seconds, which is twice as much. And when you go above 50%? Say... to 75%? That becomes 4 seconds divine protection, divided by 0.25, making it last 16 whole seconds. Alas, it was nerfed from a divisive calculation, into a multiplicative calculation. Now, 6 seconds buff with 50% buff duration = 6 * ( 1 + 0.5 ) = 9 Now, onto your build. While visored barbuta and Leather Leggings are good, I would take the normal barbuta, with dex and 25 magic resist base, with a buff duration stat on it. The templar armor, as it gives more magic resist, will as a base, and more armor rating, while having the same movespeed penalty as the heavy gambeson. You opted for light gauntlets, which give agi and strength as base, but, let's not forget that they decrease your magic resist, instead, I'd go for leather gloves, as they give will and dex as a base. The pants, I would suggest taking Dark Leather Pants, due to the much higher magic resist, and higher armor rating. The combination between normal Barbuta, Templar and Dark Leathers, in of itself, by itself, already raises your armor and magic resist by 50 each, and more, thus, you can opt to take the perk that gives you movespeed, 20% of 25 is 5 movespeed, ( 30% of 25 is 7.5 ) Boots, can be either dashing, or adventurers. The build foregoes vigor and strength, but increases your dex ( by a lot ), armor, magic res and movespeed The item mods/rolls. You want buff duration on neck, pants and chest, as they can roll between 5% and 10%, while all other items roll between 3-5%. Just those three, at 8-9%, combined with the templar, and leather gloves, give you the 30% goal that you are usually looking at, everything else, can be with agi, resourcefulness, strength and vigor, where strength can be completely ignored, and keep it as a base of 15, because, 5% damage bonus and 2.5 hp from 5 strength isn't much. The other rolls you'd want on chest, neck and pants, would be max health, but those end up being expensive, as they can roll between 3 and 6, but that already goes into min-maxing the build. If every item has 4-5 or 9-10% buff duration roll, you can expect 70% buff duration, where gaining more than that with will won't be as beneficial. With that said, have a good one.
HOLY CROW I am stunned by your insights and recommendations here, thank you so much!!! amazing iteration & improvement on the base concept I was playing with.. can wait to try out the gear/rolls you outline and see where that goes! truly impressed by your game knowledge and thankful that you decided to share it here with us :) my thanks again!!
Thanks for your content Blinn. I notice you use the dark a lot. How do you see? I have tried cranking the brightness but it doesn't seem to help all that much.
the truth is, I don't see! I've just gotten used to hw far things are in space and can navigate and fight pretty reliably in the dark.. if you practice, you can too! it's a huge advantage! here's a little vid I made on the subject: ua-cam.com/video/gQx3rL-Op5I/v-deo.html
Please don't make high will perfect block meta. Sincerely, not a crush barbarian. In all seriousness though, this is such a fun build. It's a lot more expensive than I would have anticipated given you're running with some sleeper stats - too much competition for the gear from clerics I guess, but still very cool to see you taking fighter in such a unique direction.
Could you try this with the Round Shield? You'll have 100ms less time staggered than the Heater Shield giving you more time to respond. You'll also gain 2 movement speed which idk if its negligible or not. Anyways, thanks for the constant videos! Been enjoying 'em a lot as of late!
hey hey GREAT IDEA! I've already been messing with it, and it's been fun & great.. prolly feature the build next Monday livestream, thanks for the reco!!
I’m seeing this and thought will increases magical damage so you could use weapon mastery with the crystal sword and change up the build a bit to work it and you could do some insane damage and have longer buffs
@@YourBoyBlinn no it cannot you would have to use lesser perks like the weight reduction one and bonus armor or the projectile reduction in those other slots
Doesn't holding your buckler up slow your move speed? Even with the bonus from perks, its still a net negative to your move speed, right? Love your videos btw keep it up!
unrelated to the video but id love to see you try to use less used blocking types, like spears, quarterstaffs, etc. its not the best block but its very fun imo
I'm always learning somethin from these vids. One thing I noticed is that u aren't really valuing straight hp( health). Its great to have a bunch of stats but it's also better to b able to survive 4 hits instead of 3. Imo ms and hp r the most important so for me its cool to see diffrent strategies. Just somethin for thought. Great vid I really like when u show examples of the diffrences too really helps actually see what the actual diffrence is
it's true, I don't focus on vigor very much, so my base hp is definitely lacking.. food for thought for sure! thanks again BTK, wish I could boost every stat haha
@@YourBoyBlinn try using blue peace necklaces or bear necklace, with max HP rolls which is actually better value than the aforementioned. I find using either one of those gives you a good baseline hp to work with while focusing on the other statistics. Hp becomes more valuable with more pdr, so less important for you imo.
@@YourBoyBlinn I feel like this build is uniquely positioned to dump Vigor, since your shield IS your effective HP. You’re negating tons of damage that you otherwise would’ve taken.
@@koriusX this is my thinking, but since mistakes do happen I'm keeping an open mind.. sounds like a neck of peace might be a good way to go for some extra base hp! so I don't need to worry about vigor.. love this community!
I think adrenaline rush could be a decent choice when stacking Will as a slayer fighter. Will gives buff/debuff duration which mitigates the downside of adrenaline rush.
I tried this out for a couple hours yesterday and I can’t get it to work for me, I think my blocks need to be more perfect for perfect block to be worth it LOL but it looks like other people are saying it benefits second wind so I’ll probably try it out with second wind and a healer in trios
hey sry to hear it didn't click for ya! tbh it's hit & miss for me too.. haha you really do need to have perfect blocks to make perfect block work right! it's a tall order.. but good idea pivoting back to second wind to take advantage of the extra buff duration bonus!
flanged mace has a regular attack pattern that I strongly prefer.. also it swings fast, and VERY fast out of the counter-attack. if not the flanged mace, I still LOVE the arming sword, because it too just swings soooo quickly, and that's how I like to play -- fast fast counter-attacks!
With this build you have a better mobility for some seconds and a litte buff in Magic Resistance...BUT You lose like 10 Str/Agi/Dex, so...is it really worth?
not sure, it's all one big experiment! super easy to fall into the same build pattern, and IMO good to sometimes forego the 'optimal' thing for a little creativity :)
@11:25 you ssay that buff duration would increase the duration of second wind and make it less effective... that can't be how that stat works, right? If anything I would think it would just give you extra ticks of health, not make it take longer... is that really how it works?
thanks for this, I was going off of old knowledge it seems, since in an old video I made that included buff duration, 100 YT comments said it made second wind slower.. so I always took that at face value and never checked to see if it was updated in a recent patch -- seems so!
Awesome video playing with novel concepts as usual, and I really appreciated the under 125 GS build and clearly showing how your stats were being affected. Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm still really, really confused on whether or not the increased impact resistance of Perfect Block is actually buying you anything in the fights you demonstrated. From memory, I do not remember you actually fighting anyone that used a high impact weapon like a war maul (i.e., impact power 4 and 5 weapons). Does perfect block still help with these lower impact weapons (e.g., dagger, magical staff) over the impact resistance that the shields naturally provide? I've read up on on Impact Power and Resistance on the D&D wiki page and its pretty technical but as far as I understand perfect block would only come into play with weapons that have an impact power of 5 versus the heater shield's impact resistance of 5.
again I'm not an expert on this, but I assume perfect block gives a max stagger to every weapon.. so even if that's just a small bump from medium stagger to heavy stagger on something like a dagger, that would be a small advantage. and also to reiterate from a replay above, there is a psychological advantage I feel when using the perk -- the loud "Kathumd" blocking sound is awesome and I love to think my opponents are morale shaken by the experience. if their hesitation or reluctance to attack me also buys a few extra moments of repositioning or opportunity for attack on my side, then that too is something is something I consider valuable and beneficial :)
FWI buff duration gives you more total HP back from second wind. I mean, you're better off just stacking added health than buff duration, but I thought you might wanna know. The test I did without will power stacked gave me 43 hp with 10% buff duration worth of willpower it gave me 48 hp.
You better post that legendary fight over the reign of the religion of the golden pot. Good luck, knave. your king will be waiting for you in another dungeon!
@@YourBoyBlinn What is your current opinion on the shield slam buff and change? Do you think it's balanced? I've been thinking of switching from maining Ranger to maining Fighter, would the fighter be more competitive than the ranger in 24 and 124 normal lobbies? or just one of those two gear score brackets? (I've mained wizard and cleric in the past play tests so I'm very familiar with shields and blocking.) PS: I mostly play solo and duos.
@@zacheryrex3621 hmmm shield slam buff is nice, but IMO the perfect block cooldown buff is more valuable, since perfect block I think is more useful for a shield fighter in solos these days... there are just so many lazy players using the bardiche, that interrupting their combos is both highly effective & not expected. I would definitely reco getting more practice with perfect block for the remainder of wipe!!
oh yeah also shift-walking audio range is 10 meters, crouch walking audio range is 15 meters. I see you crouch walking a lot, if you are trying to be audio sneaky its better to walk!
yup thanks! but the shift+walk is so damn slow.. I prefer the crouch walk for the slight movespeed bump, even if it means my tiny footsteps are audible ;)
Been feeling opressed and unsure about playing these days. Maybe this video will help some. I wish this arena i see talked about was released yet. If newer players had a place just to practice pvp i bet more would have stuck around from the steam re-release hype. As it is now a majority of the people at my skill level dropped the game and i keep getting stomped if i have to fight. I haven't even played elder scrolls or many fps or any other extraction games. Im green as hell and its demoralizing honestly.
dude I totally hear that! I too am getting mashed in many of the fights I take in uncapped norms.. it's a hard game! especially if you're trying to use a shield (aka skill) rather than just straight trade and gear check someone. most weapons are incredibly hard to block reliably (kriss dagger, bardiche, falchion, etc etc) and taking a blocking-first approach almost always puts you at a disadvantage. I've got 2 recos for you: 1) keep your gear score under 124 and play in the mid-roller lobbies exclusively, as this will allow you to get more evenly balanced combat experience and prevent some of the frustrating losses that come from pure gear disparity... and 2) don't be shy to take a break from the game! if your frustrations are at an elevated level, play something else until the desire for DaD comes back, no sense grinding a game that makes you angry just to keep getting more frustrated. I find whenever I take a break for like 5 days+ I'm always feeling more motivated to come back and give it another good try :) good luck & hope to see you around!!
@@YourBoyBlinn I've also taken a hiatus but your videos and thelorr's videos have been wanting me to get back into it. I like your style of playing cause it fits mine, being someone who played a lot of Mordhau. I love the melee combat in this game, but I find that this game has two different styles of play. There's your style, which is more up close and personal, then there's styles like lorr uses where it's all kiting and move speed. I find the up close and personal style so much more fun to play, as it's more about outskilling your opponent using the actual fighting mechanics. Been dissuaded from playing cause I've been getting kited like crazy, but I will probably try your builds since I relate to how they play
@@VermilionGates nice! yeah it can be frustrating running into too many players from the "other kiting style", since melee fighters like us want to be close & personal, as you say. I hope you find some good PvP and keep me posted as you phase back into the game :)
instead of running perfect block and i would run barricade with taunt instead of , with a build like this taunt and barricade would let you run less pdr and more movespeed to help run people down with sprint better, cdr and buff duration on taunt means its basically got full uptime, adrenaline spike is cool but i feel its just a bit inconsistant
@@YourBoyBlinn After watching some of your gameplay I just realised you really know how to use darkness to your advantage and have quite the patience. If you ever feel like mixing things up I highly suggest giving Rogue a shot, a blue weapon and some damage with some sneaking is all you need to make some magic hqppen. Also I just saw that you interact with pretty much all the comments which kinda cool, I can tell you really like the game and making content
yeah feels like not many other players can or like to play in the dark.. which seems weird because it's clearly a core feature of the game! I used to play rogue back in season 1 and 2.. just don't like how ultimately limiting it is to just damage and run, with no blocking option. blocking IMO is one of the few melee skill expressions in this game and I don't like playing without that ability. I'd rather try to master the shield, since it feels like I can overcome much stronger opponents that way. I do love the game!
@@YourBoyBlinn I knew you had some Rogue in ya right there haha, that's fine man I'll stick around whatever you play, I'm playing lots of sword and shield myself. My new challenge is blocking with the buckler, the MS is quite nice
is there some secret to being able to block barbarians? Im in under 24, and even when i land a block on a barbs two handed battleaxe, he's able to get another swing off before the game even lets me raise my shield or swing my sword.
The barb probably has crush. It lets his swing push through the block instead of bouncing like normal, so he can reset and swing again much faster. It also makes you take longer to put your shield up, since the hit was harder
yes, the solution could be having more dexterity (which increases action speed), or stacking for action speed directly (as extra traits on your gear). aim for a Dex of 20+ (24+ is ideal) if you want to be able to 'fit' your swings in between the swings of your Barb opponents.
The potions glow brightly in the dark and Blinn keeps them out of the utility slots to be more stealthy. The disadvantage is the extra time to equip and drink one.
because I want to quick swap to equip one single potion and drink it so there is nothing left on my belt. potions on the belt are the ULTIMATE giveaway and completely antithetical to a sneaky stealthy playstyle >;)
Problem with this build if ur running it in solos is dose it survive rouge ambush - you give up so much armor for will/resources you can Probly get stat checked by bardich barbs
Tbh decently geared rogue w weakpoint will kill you anyway, but stat check def becomes a thing. Buffs are good and all, but 122 health with low-ish pdr due to using lighter armor means "block everything or die trying".
yeah I hear you, rogues definitely cut through this build.. but the extra challenge of 'use skill or die' is kind of the MO of the whole channel!! love the challenge :)
@YourBoyBlinn yeah pretty good. I would have went with a Poupoint, Heavy Gauntlets, and maybe Lightfoot with dex . You can get up to 10% buff duration on a i think it's amulet . You might look for that and drop maybe a will affix to get another attribute like vigor. Over all i enjoyed your video keep up the good work. :) Edit: remove weapon master. You're only using it for the dagger which isn't used very much if they are fighting back switch otherwise you're just chasing with buckler. Pick up Swift it'll give you 5.1 move speed with your current setup , adrenaline spike/ combo attack can be clutch plus its a buff which both can be extended with buff duration. I'm not trying for any of this to come off negative plz don't take it as such. Its more of a play style.
Smashes rogue 4 times before he can even start attacking > still almost dies to a fucking rogue. And rogues will unironically look at this shit and say that their class ain't a completely overpowered bullshit.
This is interesting. However, longer buff duration makes your second wind not very useful. Second wind is the strongest skill for a fighter... Fun in theory, not very practical.

@@YourBoyBlinn So I tried the shield fighter and it already feels like I'm getting more kills in pvp than on my bard. There's just something very satisfying about blocking attacks with your shield and bonking people on the head in return. Now I'm torn which class to play :D

TIL they fixed how Second Wind works with buff duration. Thanks, Comments!
YT comments are goat for game knowledge!!
I try to get blue weapons, and make sure more than half of my armour is purple with my jewelry being blue or green depending on pricing and available stats
thanks, still getting used to buying decent gear and playing with ~3K kits!
I've had similar experience.. it's a long road for me to get over the gear fear.. but I'm making some progress!

not taking second wind means you dont have to worry about using campfires to get second wind back up. Which means you can take more surgical kits or other meds which can get you back in the fight faster. It also means less time for casters to get their spells back up!

Hey Blinn, got to the warlock fight and have a quick question.
You said that perfect block was a big boon for the fight at about 31:30, but how exactly did it give an edge against a Kris dagger demon form warlock?
I think it gives a longer stun after block? Not sure
@@Oakenlix and shorter attack riposte
This is what I'm completely confused about....as far as I understand, perfect block will have no effect when fighting against a dagger which only has an impact power of 2. The heater shield already has an impact resistance of 5 and the buckler has 6 according to the wiki. Thus, a dagger will only be able to produce light staggers and never medium staggers (impact power = impact resistance) or heavy staggers (impact power > impact resistance). I can imagine perfect block being more useful with parrying with a weapon with parrying having a lower impact resistance than the shields.
Fairly certain that Blow of Corruption raises the impact power of a weapon
That’s pure comedy and surreal shit I can’t stop laughing
would be great to have a VOD of their internal monologue... heh yikes!
Uh. I thought buff duration would extend the healing of Second Wind, not delay it. You learn something new everyday !
Thank you for your awesome videos and your positive behaviour. We need more people like you in pvp games.
if i remember correctly it did used to work this way, but im fairly certain they made it work with it sometime last wipe
@@Chucboris Oh. Well as a fighter main, that sucks, but i guess we already had plenty buffs to the class so can't complain ahah. Thanks for your insight !
@@eliandirsinaril1999 I’m saying it should increase the healing now, sorry if I said it poorly
nope, I was wring and going off of old info -- turns out buff duration is actually a GOOD thing for second wind these days! my badd!
Now, 6 seconds buff with 50% buff duration = 6 * ( 1 + 0.5 ) = 9
Now, onto your build. The build foregoes vigor and strength, but increases your dex ( by a lot ), armor, magic res and movespeed
The item mods/rolls.

Please don't make high will perfect block meta. Sincerely, not a crush barbarian.
In all seriousness though, this is such a fun build. It's a lot more expensive than I would have anticipated given you're running with some sleeper stats - too much competition for the gear from clerics I guess, but still very cool to see you taking fighter in such a unique direction.
thanks Rekatan!! hope it doesn't make your barbarian adventures any more difficult than they need to be!
Could you try this with the Round Shield? You'll have 100ms less time staggered than the Heater Shield giving you more time to respond. You'll also gain 2 movement speed which idk if its negligible or not.

I'm always learning somethin from these vids. One thing I noticed is that u aren't really valuing straight hp( health). @@YourBoyBlinn try using blue peace necklaces or bear necklace, with max HP rolls which is actually better value than the aforementioned.
I find using either one of those gives you a good baseline hp to work with while focusing on the other statistics.
Hp becomes more valuable with more pdr, so less important for you imo.

flanged mace has a regular attack pattern that I strongly prefer.. also it swings fast, and VERY fast out of the counter-attack. if not the flanged mace, I still LOVE the arming sword, because it too just swings soooo quickly, and that's how I like to play -- fast fast counter-attacks!

@11:25 you ssay that buff duration would increase the duration of second wind and make it less effective... that can't be how that stat works, right? If anything I would think it would just give you extra ticks of health, not make it take longer... is that really how it works?
i could be mistaken on this but i think buff duration makes 2nd wind better now as the bug that made it worse got fixed in a recent patch
thanks for this, I was going off of old knowledge it seems, since in an old video I made that included buff duration, 100 YT comments said it made second wind slower.. so I always took that at face value and never checked to see if it was updated in a recent patch -- seems so!
@@Erik-108 thanks for weighing in!! didn't know this and appreciate the comment :)
@@YourBoyBlinn So it does increase the duration of second wind? that is good!
indeed! we're all learning!
I've read up on on Impact Power and Resistance on the D&D wiki page and its pretty technical but as far as I understand perfect block would only come into play with weapons that have an impact power of 5 versus the heater shield's impact resistance of 5.
again I'm not an expert on this, but I assume perfect block gives a max stagger to every weapon.. so even if that's just a small bump from medium stagger to heavy stagger on something like a dagger, that would be a small advantage. and also to reiterate from a replay above, there is a psychological advantage I feel when using the perk -- the loud "Kathumd" blocking sound is awesome and I love to think my opponents are morale shaken by the experience. if their hesitation or reluctance to attack me also buys a few extra moments of repositioning or opportunity for attack on my side, then that too is something is something I consider valuable and beneficial :)
second wind heals more with buff duration/will
i'm just dsicovering this, thanks!!
FWI buff duration gives you more total HP back from second wind.
I mean, you're better off just stacking added health than buff duration, but I thought you might wanna know.
The test I did without will power stacked gave me 43 hp
with 10% buff duration worth of willpower it gave me 48 hp.
thanks, this is very useful!!
You better post that legendary fight over the reign of the religion of the golden pot. Good luck, knave. your king will be waiting for you in another dungeon!
a most honorable duel indeed, good sir!! can't wait to test my skill against your mighty sword again!
Buff duration also works on second wind

oh yeah also shift-walking audio range is 10 meters, crouch walking audio range is 15 meters. I see you crouch walking a lot, if you are trying to be audio sneaky its better to walk!
yup thanks! but the shift+walk is so damn slow.. I prefer the crouch walk for the slight movespeed bump, even if it means my tiny footsteps are audible ;)
did not know this ty!

If you are already stacking will try the crystal sword meme build
I'll think about it, but DOES IT BLOCK?
is there some secret to being able to block barbarians?
@@GreedyHuntsman this is an excellent point!! thanks :)

Why dont you stack the potions in your inventory? Is it a strat or just a habit?
The potions glow brightly in the dark and Blinn keeps them out of the utility slots to be more stealthy. The disadvantage is the extra time to equip and drink one.
@@limboski696 hes askign why he hasnt put them into three stacks
@@bradcfg7585 literally the same reason. If you'll equip three of them and drink one, you'll have to drop two of them from your belt.

Edit: remove weapon master.
Its more of a play style.
i got you buddy!!
how much hours do you have
a little more than 1000 :)
How did that rogue take so many hits???
2 rogues
yes, and why did that rogue seem to change clothes during the fight :P hehehe
@@Mrpatel000 heh yes, much to my dismay (u _ u );
lantern shield vid when?
cooking up something soon ;)
They need to address the movement speed meta sooner than later. If people are taking off armor JUST to run faster your game is flawed
I totally agree.. its a ridiculous strat that I bet the devs never imaged people would do!
It's been a problem for a while. Being naked should make you cold and run slower
I agree!
MS isn’t the problem. Sprinting full speed while being able to tab and unequip the gear is the problem.
@@joshuasexton4170 this is an excellent point!
why are your potions not stacked?
easier to drink one single pot, then have nothing on my belt so I can hide in the darkness >:)
Smashes rogue 4 times before he can even start attacking > still almost dies to a fucking rogue.
And rogues will unironically look at this shit and say that their class ain't a completely overpowered bullshit.
Ok butt buff duration didnt always do this right? I remeber this talked about but said the times were static
i don't know/remember exactly how things used to work.. but certainly it works now! haha
I need to find a different friend to play this with , my buddy keeps getting me killed lol
hehe I'm usually the buddy that gets my party killed.. so I know how it feels :)
Why is bro whispering 💀
whispers are my jam
not gonna lie, it kinda seemed like some of the voice was ai generated while talking about equipping stuff
like idk something about the way certain words were said seems *off*
@@floofyboi2520 I promise I'm a real person!! >:)
sucks to think that AI has become so pervasive that people are getting sus of actually legit content. too bad I don't sound like how you'd expect!
i see more editing in this video @_@
'@}~}~~\(n _ n ); * for youuuu * ' ,.. . .
This is interesting. However, longer buff duration makes your second wind not very useful. Second wind is the strongest skill for a fighter...
Fun in theory, not very practical.
Second wind is a crutch, stop getting hit
He's specifically not using it with this build.
Second wind actually works better with this build, because you heal alot more than 40% max hp with it
@@notuplink show me where this is true. I've never seen info proving this.
at 30min seeing you full heal instead of using shrine pissed me off :)
yeah I get bad tunnel vision sometimes!
I got plenty of gold and money is no object. But for you to think money is no object I gotta have all my stash tabs on all my characters? I doubt I would ever do that lol, I mean I probably could, but it would feel like such a waste
agree that spending 10k on an extra tab for ne reason is a huuuuge waste of gold! was just being a bit hyperbolic in my description is all, respect for players who got massive cash!!
@@YourBoyBlinnI do have all my stash tabs on 2 characters, but I don’t think I’ll do more than that, maybe 2 extra on the rest. I have a lot of experience and knowledge, but even with all the gold it’s hard to get pass the gear fear. Gear fear has gotten a lot better ever since they made gold much easier to get by increasing gold for items and treasure. Now like a 5-6k kit is no problem, it’s that next step that’s hard for me to do, that 15k kit. But I just gotta let loose and trust in myself
@@skipper8008 "just gotta let loose and trust in myself" should be the channel motto! good luck in your adventures !!
bro looks like a cleric lol, no hate tho
heh no worries bud :)
can you do a zero to gold gear game play? i wanna se the fights in gold gear
I wish I could, but alas can't craft gold gear, and can't beat players who wear it! maybe one day
These are both super super cheap kits
yea I can see that, but from my POV 3000g isn't typical or comfortable for me!
