I have 4k movies but there is something about VHS on crt tv it’s like comfort food for your soul. Everything is connected to the internet it’s relaxing to disconnect and watch an old tape. I still find vhs sealed at the thrift store weekly. I too pick up every copy of Indiana jones because my ma broke 2out of 3 of them trying to fix the vcr.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. Disconnecting is why I love it. And there are just titles that when you see for .99 you buy haha. You can never have enough copies of Star Wars and Indiana Jones 😂. Thanks for the comment!
My VHS story comes from when I was 21 working as a janitor next to a Hustler Hollywood. One day I was changing the trash and found a brown paper bag filled with unmarked VHS! After checking out the content discovered they were Adult Films... You're right nostalgic 🙂
Drew was telling me about a TiKTok account where they find old unmarked VHS tapes and play them. I’m sure they have found some real doozies just like this 😂 -Seth
I do know more than your video video does am fixing broken vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's everything proven vhs tapes more free whiching in your house now days
its a No for me personally 😢 the format is just too unstable and unpredictable. mint VHS looks cool on the shelf, i must admit they look very collectible, and with decent CRT the image is okay. but i still need them to work properly. theres too much hassle playing a tape without even a guarantee it'll play in the end, and its not even about the ff/rewinding thing... but thats just my personal opinion
Blu ray and 4k blu ray aren't going anywhere anytime soon, obviously with 4k being the superior tech blu ray will eventually make way to 4k releases which is pretty obvious, but collecting an inferior and unreliable tech like vhs now beyond nostalgia makes no sense whatsoever.so you are going to watch a cat tv at 25 inches which is the only way they will be watchable and start listening to cassette tapes.4k uhds are so far beyond even a cinematic experience their is no comparison. Vhs is never ever going to make a comeback beyond ultra niche people with too much time on their hands
On June 7th this year I watched "The Longest Day" on VHS to commemorate the 80 year anniversary of D - Day.
I just watched my dvd of “The Longest Day” very recently!
Vhs tapes more healthy keeps you moving more than internet does

In the final days of DVD and Blu-ray? No not even close.
That was in reference to major retailers discontinuing their physical media sections.
Dementia 13 dvd Wildside video cleaned up the picture really great.
Jbhifi in Australia has a retro vhs section in some stores.
My Samsung series 6 full hd 2016 model smart tv connects to a vcr also.
What you know about cleaning out mode switches in VCR players

Tape seems to be more robust than DVD's, plus you can record over things.

The format is definitely not for everyone. Thanks for taking the time to give us your feedback. Do you get into any physical media or all streaming?

VHS quality is horrific. Vinyl actually sounds good
Sometimes there is greatness in the garbage of things. 😅
Never going to happen
One can only hope 😅
No way VHS sucks!!
