I’ve been playing FO4 on and off since release and this video alone helped relieve the 8 1/2 years of anguish of dealing with the re-building of Sanctuary that I have. Especially since I prefer playing the game vanilla.
Concrete pillars are a bit expensive early on so WH or barn pillars work just as well with less junk cost. Using a wall to start your roof build takes the lifting step out and allows you to add floor tiles inside the roof bottom, therefore fixing your ceiling as well. More work to line up sometimes but looks a bit nicer.
2:20 Those doors for windows why didn't I thought of that. There is nothing else fitting in there properly and the doors does, good find. Uhm I think now you can open/close the windows whenever you pleases am I right? Did the ceilings like you did the floors Have it on video too, never liked it cause it never fits properly. Your roof fixing is way better than mine though.

Great video and helped me a lot with the floor. I followed this completely but when installing the roof my post won’t sink into the floor at all so i can only place the roof about 1m. Tested pole function by itself to try and troubleshoot it and I can’t get any of them to sink into the floor once the floor panels are down in the house. Any suggestions? **I’m on PS5 btw. I’ve also tried sinking the roof into houses where I haven’t built and currently have no added floor and these allow me to sink the pole in.
@@CapN_C0SMO yeah I moved all furniture out the way and tried sinking a pillar in by itself too but won’t sink into the floor. I’ve tried it in other houses where I haven’t placed floors down and it works fine. Hahah I wish I could have both a roof and a floor
@@CapN_C0SMO yeah I finally overcame it by building another mesh floor panel onto the existing one (the one used to connect the pillar and the roof) and having the pillar outside the house when placing the roof
@@CapN_C0SMO Yeah, I figured as much. Perhaps actually using windows from the shop might be better in this instance? Just have to find a window you can place at the correct height that'll work with this method.
It works on all platforms its just hard to do it. The way you look, the distance you stood while picking the group, the height where you picked up the group, all that counts. So it takes practice and a lot of patience.

Have you made sure nothing is obstructing the collision of the pole? Like floors maybe tiny pieces of junk that you didn’t scrap?
