I like the mid-drive on this. Perfect shopping vehicle in a hilly area (my home area) when you want to avoid the price (not to mention environmental damage) of owning a car. Maybe an 8 speed internal hub though. I love the riding height of this trike over those silly little recumbents when you are moving in traffic. Good video, nice product.
Could you please make a video on how to install this battery and to also troubleshoot installation of this battery in case of possible battery carriage warpage?
$2,000 for any ebike or ebike trike is greed pricing and will not be for masses! I love Sondors cannot wait for them to come up with their etrike then everyone will be able to afford one! They make one of the best ebikes for $400.00 plus shipping! very well built!
There is now a thumb throttle for the IZip and Raleigh trike. Not sure if it will work on other models. I rode the trike on May 16, 2018. The dealer said it came with it out of the box, no extra charge. There is a "T" on the screen when scrolled past Assist # 1 - 4, no miles to empty or pedal assist numbers. The the thumb throttle works all the time in "T" mode. If you have it in pedal assist, you have to pedal a quarter turn, then the throttle works. In assist mode it will not work at standstill, yet if you were just using the throttle and stopped for a few seconds, the throttle works at standstill. Non of this is in the current instructions. It's a bus model and they changed the 3 speed grip to a standard swing changer but with no number indications on the lever. Also the battery, talking about the second battery, will not automatically double your range. It's just a holder for the second $500 battery. You must physically switch batteries to the other side. Also there is no brake/motor inhibitor. You can have pedal assist/Throttle going and be holding either brake lever. The bike is very low to the ground as far as getting your foot over that hump. If you have bad knees, this is very good for getting your legs over. Many other trikes have addition pipes to support the frame by the crank area requiring you to raise your legs higher. I will report more on this trike when we ride it a bit.
bought my trike for 300 bucks..got a 48 volt 1000 watt rated brushless hub motor and controller for 171 bucks...since it is a trike..i bought 16 6volt 12 amp acid batteries for 120 bucks, delivered. so I had 571 dollars in the build...i bought 4 cheap chargers for a total of 50 bucks..... little over 600 bucks total. i have 2 series running parallel and i commute 13 miles ,one way, to work. i cruise at 25 mph and i have no battery issues. the batteries and motor stuff added about 70 pounds to my trike so i use super duty kenda tires and and tubes. have about 3000 miles on my setup and i am current looking at making a coroplast enclosure to protect me from rain... these college kids think 2,000 dollars for a bike that a DIY type like myself can make for 600 bucks..is a fair price....what douchebags.... i am thinking about making some more trikes and putting them on consignment in the local shops...I bet mine will sell fast !
I was impressed with the tri-ebike till you told me it wasn't disco brake enabled, on front and back.I live in steep mountainous area, I'm looking for a tri-ebike.Have you thought about that load sitting behind me.I think its a good feature, one of the better hard shell frames on a bike How I'm thinking about me coming downhill with a stop sign and a load groceries 25lbs rice,2 cartoons milk and my small dog ,Choo-Choo to a major intersection with a stop sign/cross walk.Speed and load changes dramatically, with speed and deceleration on a downhill slope.Any amount of water on those V-pads is inefficiently asking for lot help that will be hard to squeeze out of those handle bars, even on a clean rim, water will make the pads slide very easy. Disk brakes would be all round safer and easy to clean on any kind e-bike I'll presume you sell from the USA.At my location and weather consists of rain forest conditions, winter months being more.On our best day it's still wet conditions. Is there a model that comes with disk brakes. Can tell you tell me,the watt power of that mid drive of e- bike
Way overpriced, liberty is a much better option at half the cost, with a throttle only option and the ability to use it as a mobility scooter(fits through all doors).
Benim de var aynısından karğo bişiklet renki siyah ama elektrikli değil yeni aldım bende elektrik motoru kiti takılırımı uzun yola gitmek için daha iyi olur
The video stated 28" wide. I honestly thought it was 30". Verify right on Raleigh's website to be sure. It does have nice plastic caps on the rear axles to protect your door frames from scratches and dents.
I agree. Another company out of Pennsylvania, Liberty Trike, sells a similar product for $1,500 and their gently used trikes are about $1,200. I doubt that the Raleigh trike is $1K better.
I'm doing some looking and it's pretty hard to find one that has the three-speed hub and the electric motor going through that hub in addition to the pedal power. A lot of them are just simply a one-speed and the electric motor power is put to the front wheel. I was disappointed to see at this price that it was just a single rear wheel that was powered with no differential.
I bought onefive years ago. It’s still running great.
*Very well made **Latest.Bike** , looks sporty and performance is awesome I love this machine! It also rides like a Cadillac So you'll love it to!*

I don't have a handicap but would still like riding this trike. I have a Schwinn meridian. Love it. It needs an electric hub motor kit in the future.

Even the thin only does 20mile range.
Just not enough watt batteries.
I need a 500 watt hour battery minimum for my application
@Dindo Nuffin yes I live blackburn england and I built my trike it still cost nearly 650 pluss pounds and some that I have online cost £7090pluss
I just purchased my e trike. I took the battery out to charge and now I can’t get it back in! I’m so frustrated with it, what am I doing wrong?
I'm from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Interested to have one of it. If possible please update me how much it cost inclusive transportation.
HOw bout upgrading the motor to 749.999 watts & over 100 NM torque?

So from the video, I get the impression that the trike only has "pedal assist" mode, and cannot do "motor only"?
That's correct. This is a Class 1 ebike.

TomBrenner in Canada Go for regenerative braking in your trike. Make your downhill work for you.
Great thing for people with handicap !!

E°Bike Company Mainz but i think this vehicle is good option to used and save our self from getting handi caped
Nice video nice trike, do you get drive power from both rear wheels or just the right wheel
Right rear only.
How much in Canadian funds !
Donde hay exposición.
Do I need a Permit since This is a Powered Tricycle?
EdZoe1975 not in California. It’s considered a bicycle because it’s still a pedal powered vehicle. You don’t need a license to operate it.

$2500 is way over priced for this. there are much cheaper ones that do same!
