IZIP is junk. I only wish I would have known that before I purchased for my wife two years ago. The bike shop where I purchased this form does not want to work on it, said it would be $900 to replace the TransX motor with no insurance it would fix the issue. I could tell they did not want to work on this anyway. Bike shop did not have software for diagnostics. Now I’m dealing with the manufacture over email. Simple piece of advice, NEVER PURCHACE A EBIKE THAT DOES NOT POST A SUPPORT NUMBER ON THE WEBSITE. Dealing with support and someone who is reading from a book, it takes days for them to reply. Yes, this bike is useless after only two years and cost over $3000. I just purchased a Lectric Trike as it is half the price, has hydraulic breaks, is set up for a dog trailer tow, has a larger Battey, simple to replace parts and has a support number on there website. I will update on how this bike does when I receive in a week. IZIP support says “Happy Trails” at the bottom of ever email. Not so happy trails for my wife. The most money I have ever wasted in my life. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Best of all, wife is disabled so I had to ride the bike back 5 miles up hill with no power. NOT FUN…
If you, like me, ended up here because you bought the non-electric version of this and were sent a box full of parts with basically zero instructions, I have some links for you The type of master link included is not quite the same as the one shown here. This should help you put it together: ua-cam.com/video/j1YJ8Hf-RIk/v-deo.html Attaching the basket to the frame is quite different. If you pause this video around 40 seconds you can roughly make out where the included bracket and everything else is supposed to go: ua-cam.com/video/dUBRVY_Yemw/v-deo.html This video assumes the brakes are largely assembled. Mine came in a bag of unconnected parts. If yours did too, this video was tremendously helpful in figuring that whole mess out: ua-cam.com/video/1nwHvl3KpN8/v-deo.html as was this one: ua-cam.com/video/ueN9pWwtE00/v-deo.html I did manage to piece it all together, but it took a lot of research and reverse engineering from other people's pictures. Seems a little ridiculous not to have a set of assembly instructions included, or a separate video for the VERY different unmotorized version of the bike, but what do I know 🤷♀️
I guess you answered my question in your video about the extra battery, thank you. I should have watched it before haha
Please add a video for non-electric three wheel bike for seniors. Or include instructions.

Thanks. The manual doesn't give any specifics on the size of the fasteners or the amount of torque
How do you connect the extra battery?
The extra battery slot is just to hold another battery. You would still need to change the battery when one is dead.
How do I cut the speed limiter if there is any
Speed is governed to 12mph on the Tristar. You are not able to remove this limiter.
I will avoid this izip electric trike at all cost. The price is way too much.
