SEA OF NITPICKING - PART 2
This series is a slow descent into madness and I'm all for it.
It's not really that slow. lol
The capstan on the sloop isn't centered
We know brandon
@@brandonfurr7080 im suffering from that
1:01 Fun fact about real life merchant ships: They would pretend to have more cannons than they actually did to try and ward off pirates and the like. Pirates did the opposite and covered up their extra cannons with painted canvas (which looked convincing from far enough away). Given that we're both pirates and merchants in the game, I think it makes at least a little bit of sense.
Then tell me where the window on the galleon goes but it is a nitpick
Somebody watches CGP Grey
@@leonardusl5141 indeed I do :p
I actually had someone comment that on a completely seperate video when I explained that pirates don't attack each other.
@@zerwire7856 Oh, that window goes into an small empty blocked off room. It's there, you just can't get into it
Gotta stay true to the times. I would assume Rare did their research and people would be wearing buttflaps. I just never imagined them adding bathrooms, well because its a game, and its rated T.
My favourite has to be the anchor itself, when dropping it behaves fine, but when raising apparently it needs to be all the way up before it’s out of the anchored point 😐
When you said dripping i thought you meant it like Drip you know? Then i realised you meant dropping.
@@johankhamaruddin3775 my bad thank you 😂
Also the fact that the anchor just seemingly doesn't work well if you're partially on land. Which I understand, because a ship would probably slide back into the water, but the fact that it just immediately stops once it gets deep enough is strange.
@@trickytreyperfected1482 yeah the anchors have bugged me from the start, they don’t act at all how they should besides when dropping it lmao, it wouldn’t be difficult to have them react how they do in our actual world
@@ItsMeMonkeyDLuffy That being said, I think how they work now is definitely intentional. Both the "wait til it reaches the top" and "we'll stop you when you get deep enough" make sense.
Old Faithful Toilet 😂
i legit spit out my drink a lil when he showed that....
Phuzzy!
Learning about the capstan as a person who has played this game for more than 3 years is one of the most traumatizing things I have ever discovered.
ino rite
Division is better
‘It’s held up with a nitpick’ best line in this video
Genuinely, seeing smoke come out of the chimneys on outposts would be such a good QoL addition, and make it feel so much more lively and immersive, just something as small as that
Or random wandering npcs walking around settlements. Imagine npc civilian merchants docked at port in a new type of ship you could loot.
Where is the cat in your pfp? I've been searching for years
Where is the cat in your pfp? I've been searching for years
Where is the cat in your pfp? I've been searching for years
Remind me the definition of QoL?
"I found the toilet" 🤣
It's pretty magical that the lanterns work underwater.
Glass around it stops the water
Unless it’s a lantern skin that doesn’t have glass around it
@@Occycat but what about the oxygen for the flame?
@@Thaijler Its fueled by the nitpick
And you can whistle underwater
1:06 A lot of ships actually had fake cannons to look more threatening, even though they couldn't be used
The fact that gold skeletons rust is probably a reference to Fool's Gold (pyrite), which is actually a compound of iron, and rusts in water.
Don't give them an excuse!! (Would explain why we can't just sell parts of them though)
Or it's just a nitpick
@@ckay8145 well it would explain why they cant be sold
"The hatch to the hidden room is under the rug beneath the captain's table shh don't tell anyone" ~Old Man Jenkins
No it leads to the galleons toilet
Well edited and funny as usual! 😄👍🏼🏴☠️
Gotta agree
The capstan on the brig is centred
You know what picks my nit? The fact everyone now has me thinking about nitpicks
Bro relax, its just a nitpick
Having your character puke at the end was a nice touch.
You can now sit on the rug in the tavern at Ancient Spire. You would think this is a bug, but come to find out you can ALSO do at Plunder. No big deal right? Whats wrong with sitting on a rug? It does the wrong animation, so your legs clip straight through the ground. Now, I don't know if this is intentional, and they forgot to change the animation, but if it's not, it seems like someone at Rare either isn't doing their job, or they aren't to happy because they did this with not 1, but 2 taverns.
Well, reason for it being on both rugs is it's likely the same model source, same for all the chairs and benches around the place I reckon
5:16 this just renforces the idea that the brig is the best ship
And that's why the brigantine is perfect.
brig eighteen*
brighteighteen*
My English is Perfect.
2:06 I wonder about this for some IRL shopkeepers. "You're telling me you just hold it all day? Look. I know you have a bathroom. Let me use it!"
Times are tough. The Merchant is storing the animals in the tavern.
The Nits have been picked oncemore
I love the ominous music that plays as he measures the galleon's capstan.
this may be one of the best Sea of Thieves videos ever. the last part has blown my mind and i can not put it back together
Absolutely loved when you pan up and falcore points out the sloop capstan, legit comedy
Dude this video has forced me to subscribe. A true work of art that had me in stitches all the way.
This is my favourite series... it's basically my inner monologue every time I sail.
1:01 and 2:30 has bothered me for years... why are they there? It's just a nitpick
1:47 Also, with holiday decorations up, when you sit on the bar you clip through them... but that's okay... Just nitpicking... they'll be gone in a month, hopefully... and we can sit anywhere else without clipping, absolutely sure of that, right?
Also, about time Bushido got called out :P
Well the one at 1:01 might just be fake cannons to look more threatening, probably not their intention tho
The nitpicks. There is so many. The capstan, the smoke. WERE ALL DECENDING INTO CHAOS
👏Ladies and gentlemen, the proof that the brig is the best ship in the game👏
While is third cannon can be added for sure is the best boat
@@2284090 Boy I have a cannon rowboat to show you
@@Kowgan but thats just one more u need another one on the other side tho
damn bro I really died internally during these nitpicks. Please keep doing that sh*t
The missing room on the galleon we can see outside on the back of the ship is the bathroom obviously.
This man's content is amazing. I have been binge watching all of your videos lol
The bartender keeps their infinite supply of grog upstairs.
Virgin pirates: precision is satisfaction
Mad lad pirates: disaling brig capstan
The ending to this and the beginning of the final nitpick video is so unexpected and such a hilarious thing to put into a video. I could not laugh any harder when I first watched that part... It's what made me sub lol
As soon as I heard that "Oh no." I instantly knew how this series would be from now on
These are legit some of my favorite videos
Not the Old Faithful Isle as a toilet hahah :D That was so funny
My own personal nitpick is that the skeleton ships can sail
And that they can go faster than you
"maybe it's held up with the nit-pick" 🤣
I love that falcon add part of the capstan nitpick also I think that the anchor is not centred on any galleon, wreaks, sloops and that maidan voyage wreak
That picture of the glass blower sums up the entire industry
That last scene with the puke is just perfect ahahahahahahah
Im dying of laughter... please never stop doing these
This is a community nitpick- why are there multiple handles on the anchor when no one helps you raise it?
So someone else can come and help rotate it the last 5cm
The only nit pick I have is that shadow skellys cant be hit by swords in their shadowy state but they can use swords while in the shadowy state
KEEP DOING THESE! These are so darn funny!
This is why the brig is the perfect boat.
In the lore, the chests are made from locks that can't be picked, and metal that won't rust. Solved that one. As well, the GMU exists, and is where the merchant goods come from. They've established a trade route with the outside world.
1:02 in the pirate's life tall tale, when you're on the black pearl there are canons in those holes
Plot twist: the capstan is centered.
The ship isn't
I lost it when you threw up in the end 🤣🤣🤣
I love this nitpick hill GeeNee is dying on
The answer to where the commodities come from (e.g. silk) is probably from the world beyond the mist (where the first pirates came from in lore)
The weapon*smith* is the blacksmith! One of them actually talks extensively about different types of weapons that they can make, I think the one on like, plunder outpost?
You and Phuzzy, Phuzzy and you, the absolute SoT content goats
Two videos in a row, and not a word about the anchor on the sloop being off center.
Nitpick: on the admiral cannons the fuse isn’t centered
10/10 for that picture of the glass blower
I feel like GeeNee is about to become a crazy sea of thieves conspiracy theorist soon
"about to"? You make it sound like that hasn't happened already! XD
If it was salt water, all the merchant cargo plants would have died, the seas being fresh water has been known for three years now.
captions chest is made of a magical metal made by the ancients that never rusts or breaks
I love the real time discovery of the weapon seller chimney having no smoke.
The new plot of season 6 its all shopkeepers have died of smoke inhalation and you can get their job for gold and comedations
The "Oh my God" when you're talking about the Gally being perfect kills me. You're hilarious. Love the content.
This video series causes physical pain to me!
The nitpick on the brig is that the capstan IS centered unlike the rest
This is officially my new favourite anime
This vid was the best thing i've seen all day.
The plot twist at the end though lmao
This editing is the style i love, nice video 😂
That ending, 10/10
I noticed the sloop(and it haunts my dreams), not the galion, I WILL NEVER UNSEE THIS...
doonaggle is my favorite word now, thank you
Gotta love falcore pointing out that the capstan isn’t centred I would never of known
2:30 that’s where they keep the Shrouded Ghost
I saw them post in their community on XBox. Dude I died when I saw them say "We know the capstan isn't centered on he sloop" lol
whenever i now sloop with my friend, ill always remember the capstan.
About the island from the maiden voyage: Ramsey (the pirate lord) parts the shroud for you to be able to enter the Sea of Thieves, so presumably you can't see it because the shroud closed behind you.
Lore says only small ships can travel through the shroud. Why do Sloops get sunk, then? Why do rowboats get sunk? How small do we have to go?
Scream in agony each time you rescar lol
04:02 That little “ah” is everything for me
The sloop and galleon being buffed in the new update is a slight nod to the fact that rare won't center the GODAM CAPSTAN AAIFJJJSAFJFASFASJKJKF
Even after the update, the chimneys still don't let out smoke
Did you notice, when docking the cannon rowboat, it faces the opposite direction as the other rowboats? Also the ropes holding on to it aren't attatched to anything.
All the rowboats now face depending on which direction they are facing when you dock them. It was changed when they brought in the cannon rowboats.
As per the Release Notes for Season 5: "When docking a Rowboat to a ship, they will now dock to the orientation they were facing in the water. To change the direction, simply face the Rowboat in the intended direction before docking it to the ship."
This video couldn't be better
How does your pirate fit in the barrel of the rowboat cannon? I can understand ship cannon because they're long, but that thing is tiny. And what about fat pirates? How do they fit in either?
Although I have always wondered about the secret room in a galleon, I've always assumed she's made thousands of barrel lids... not just working on the same one...
I love these they're so easy to produce but yet so entertaining
Upstairs is where the sea of thieves crew chat like in trailers and stuff
I'll never look at Sea of thieves the same again
Best series on YT
in the change pirate potion its shows the tavern stairs in the background AND THEY ARE FIXED IN THE BACKGROUND
Pirate underpants have a rear hatch because... well... it gets lonely on long voyages with just you and your shipmate.
Edit: also, no. Salt water does not corrode pure gold.
@nerijuspagalkriterijus Why use *any* material that would corrode? Gold is probably a better material to use because, as soft as gold is, it's a lot more durable than rust. It's not exactly a rare substance on the seas. The chest is already studded with gemstones, so why not use gold for the banding and clasps?
If you equipt the new Bell Brigade gloves, your character does not properly grip the eyeglass. Your fingers stick straight out.
That little "ah" at 4:00
if there are christmas decorations does that mean there is a pirate jesus
The videogamedunkey of sea of thieves
This "fever dream" format is really working. Keep it up!
What is the nitpick!? *Casually throws up a nitpick*
the rats drink from the water barrel, silly
