- Not everyone in this game enjoys the PvP.
About 90% I'd say. (Statistics probably not accurate)
I however absolutely LOVE the PvP...

I love that Pixel created a war between 2 galleons by creeping onto one of the galleons and attacking them.
Alliances=bad idea if youre both too shit at the game to notice the third ship

Probably like 95% of sailors back in the golden age of piracy didn't like being attacked by pirates.
And the other 5% WERE pirates.
So that's why this game works most people aren't pirates that i run across. Hell I grabbed 6 reapers chest unopposed except for one time where the other guys got the chest and ran. I didn't feel like solo fighting a sloop and brig at the same time was gonna work out for me

"sea of thieves" could also be referencing the undead thieves. there's plenty to do (pve) on here that's fun without having to ruin other people's fun. it doesn't necessitate griefing... or just being an ass.
that being said, i realize the intent was to make it possible for people to have the freedom to be the ass, if they so choose. hence why pvp is even allowed... as well as stealing other peoples shit, etc...but there are alliance options (where everybody wins together), so friendly play was also part of the game. they provide you the choice to play good or bad. how you decide to play is indicative of what you choose... so don't hide behind the title to rationalize your sadism.

It's funny how you keep running into friendly pirates and when I sail I get attacked by sloops and brigs. Theres not much friendly pirates this days

@@theprisma4924 not everyone who plays has to play as a pirate though I think that's the point of the game. Like I said before add bounty's and people who can take up navy voyages to capture or defeat them. Would be cool to lock them in the brig though

I don't think they know what a noob is. I've had it happen in lots of games, and generally it seems to be a language barrier issue.

@@messier97 Well Noobs was once defined as a person who would use non skilled weapons to win the game, example. A broken weapon from COD that people used just to win every game that is "Noob you can't even really fight". Might even come from Mortal Kombat because Noob was so broken that it would require no skill to play him.

@@Rasgaard it has always been slang for a new player, or a newby. newb for short and then evolved into noob. kind of like how newness to something is associated with a lack of skill, Noob is an insult thrown out as a means to say "You ain't got skill" instead of calling someone new to the game.
Pirates historically didn't like fighting either they would much rather ships surrender their cargo then have to board and kill everyone.
Can't agree more. I mainly only fight as a last resort. But then there's 4 person crews continueisly killing and making fun of solo PvE sloops

Ok, I'll admit I prefer the PvE to the PvP in Sea of Thieves.
But even *I* raised my eyebrow at the guy from 4:30.
Same. The PvP-oriented players snooping about are what make the PvE fun in the first place, truly. Players hunting for PvE'rs is what gives everything you do a sense of urgency before someone finds you. The PvE content trying to stop you isn't enough once you're even decent at the game. Players are the MASSIVE threat to you, at all times.

Why would anyone bother with new players? If I see a new player they always have shit for loot, maybe a captains chest at most. So I leave them alone, not worth wasting cannon balls on inexperienced players so I can feel like I’m better.
I go after people with good loot, Athena’s stuff, if you actively seek out and fight new players, then I can only assume you do it to make yourself feel better about getting your shit pushed in by experienced players
Most people don’t kill new players unless they happen to have fort loot or are attacking them first. Most of the new players I come across now attack me first or they did a fort. I’m not letting fort loot go because they are new lol

People say sloop sucks but I find it able to do amazing things lol
I solo'd a sloop and took out a galleon I filled em with holes and killed I think two on the top deck with cannons. Then they came up beside me and I jumped on their ship and killed one the other one idk what he was doing. Then I shot him to keep him from repairing before we got black screened. Came back to my sloop repaired it and scooped the water out I got hit once. The thing is I've only been playing three weeks. So then an experienced brig decimated me and spawn killed me til they jumped to another brig.
I think i got to sink over 600 enemy ship with a sloop
I once attacked a galleon and I sunk it, BUT, the whole crew decided to board MY ship and I had to kill them one by one until 2 of them climbed at the same time. But the thing is I never died once.
Jack Jewels yeah, I find that I can be pretty good against bigger ships, even playing solo like I always do. My only problem is that all the beings on my server just group up and all spam fire bombs when I get close. I’m thinking I should bait them out sometime and when they all get close together I should cannon or blunderbomb them.
It can, but my experience with it is not great. My game also has a tendency to deny me access to most merchant alliance reps due to bad internet. I adore the lost cargo missions though.

@@justebob Some kid was following our sloop to the end of the map just to sink us again after we told them we were only doing tall tales. Naturally, they were saying slurs ever time they killed us, it's just not a fun community now
@@cseve8801 yep and just yesterday I encounter a hacker that just keep killing me even tho I got nothing on board and was about to do a vault, I even try talking to him and make an arrangement that I can get the key then he can kill me to get at least some treasure out of it but nope he was just “rolling laughing in deck”, (I was actually trying to get some screenshots or a video of his name tag but I couldn’t have the time to that why I was trying to negotiated, I wasn’t really about,to give him the key I just wanted a video of him cheating for the report program)

It's actually rare for me to see friendly pirates. I usually get attacked when I play if I'm not the one doing it.
I remember getting attacked by someone in a galleon with your voice saying, "Its a pirate game, you should stop being goody-two-shoes!"

There's definately a time for fighting, and a time for being friendly, sometimes you can have fun with others, and make crewmates, but I don't deny there's nothing better than killing a toxic crew
The PvP is fine. 90% of people don't like the toxic spawn killers who spew racial slurs and are killing you simply for the purpose of not letting you play the game.
That's like a miniscule amount in the grand scheme of things though. Like. 002 percent lol.

The way I see it getting attacked sucks, but attacking people is a blast. People need to remember it’s a two way street.

but 9/10 of fights is always getting surprised attacked. your either at an outpost/ island doing an event . how is that even fair ofcourse a sloop can beat a galleon if they arent moving most of the time. most of the fights in these game is cheese

“Pirate game” a pirate wouldn’t waste cannonballs on someone with no loot, minding their own business just having fun. Someone sunk me when I was doing a tall tailor and I had nothing. They just wanted to sink us for some reason.

This game is what you make it. Respect others for playing it the what they do and vice versa.
SoT has a lot more to offer than *only* attacking everything in sight. Mixing it up a bit with both PvP and PvE, while sometimes fighting people or working together with them, is what makes it the most fun IMO.
The PVE content in this game is boring. It's far more enjoyable to work together with my friends hunting down other players and stealing their loot while destroying them. Go play a different game.

I may come across as "friendly" when in reality, I have more important things to do that pick fights with people. If that's your thing, good on you buddy, but I think a large number of us are less friendly, more don't give a damn about the other players
Also, quick clarification so there's no confusion. I'm all for PvP. It's thrilling and blood pumping having a ship full of loot be on the line in a high octane duel with an enemy. I just personal don't go out of my way to harm people, and I imagine many others do the same. That's why you may get the impression we're friendly

Theres two types of people in this game. Those that sail and travel and grab loot and be kind to others. Then there are those that attack and steal from other sailors.

Every person must fit one of these categories. It's like a ecosystem from the way I look at it

Lmao I played Rust before Sea Of Thieves. I was born in pvp and mistrust. A world where a naked guy with a rock will try to kill you for a bunch of wood even though you just spawned.
Nothing matters to me, not the color of your sails not the flag youre arboring nor the style of your hull or canon, EVERYONE is a threat.

Pretty much pc vs console. Pretty much all of those guys had either no or default clothing. None of them were very good at the game. Default ships too. Funny video tho.

A couple of days ago, I was soloing a galleon. Reaper's of Wanderer's. I got tons of chests that were stolen by two lvl 10 Athena's, after they killed me. After some bullshit saying "You haven't earned this" I got a random person on the sloop and helped me get the loot back and more. Then he says I didn't give him a fair chance XD

I get that it's a game about Pirates and looting and killing, however some people want to chill with their friends and do some short voyages and play the game how the want. I am a peaceful player, if some attacks, I will obviously retaliate. But sometimes people are so hungry for PvP, they push it too far and are just dicks. This guy was tailing, I pulled over, waved at him did the "Make Friends" emote; but no, he killed me and burnt/sank my ship and I didn't even have loot. Why be a dick and ruin the fun? PvP when it's necessary, but destroying peaceful players (like a Galleon vs Sloope (or whatever)) is just a dick move.
MEME FACTORY I actually was going to sink a solo sloop with a random at an outpost cuz we were selling loot and I didn’t want him to steal it so we tried sinking them and we got DESTROYED and the guy stole our loot. But once it was all stolen he did and emote and said “ Well played! “ So I replied “ Well played! “ back to him and he caught a mermaid. That’s how pirates should act. Sinking people for their LOOT! Not sinking them for fun when they had no loot and was doing a tall tale.
