Finally, at long last, Sea of Thieves Season 12 has delivered something I've always wanted.. The ability to become a ROGUE! That's right, my friends, among the assortment of new weapons and content introduced in this update, we have gotten access to the throwing knives! And conveniently they also double as a dagger.
You know what that means, right? I can finally live out my fantasy and live up to my title of LEGENDARY ROGUE!
But don't worry new PS5 players, I'm not leaving you behind. Of course I'm going to explain a lot of what I am doing so that you can replicate it. Whilst not directly a guide, I do hope you find some useful tips in here.

The horn doesn't change locations within a server for the treasuries and shrines. There will be 1 treasury with a horn and 2 shrines on each server, and you can just repeat the treasury or shrine to get the horn again
What's the respawn timer? 'Cause in that session I went back to the Treasury where I got my first one and there was none, even hours later

@CliffTheStoryGuy oh weird, the guy in the video I watched got one along with the rest of the loot, so the timer was just waiting for the treasury to be active again (so it should be like 15 minutes). Apparently more testing is required

Yesterday I finally got the midnight blades loose pants and jacket. I camped reaper's hideout to do it.
There were these sweats fighting near the island. They were victorious, started selling and I waited for the perfect time to steal a create and bury it. They had to leave quickly to fight again then came back to continue. I finally got my moment and rushed in and tried to get the first create I approached. Turns out they had a horn under it that I accidentally grabbed instead and bolted. Buried it and got my jacket with pants lol
Yo cliff, I got a content idea, find a swabbie’s ship to tuck on and be their guardian angel, trying to (ideally stealthily) save them from danger. Should be easier with the ps5 player wave.
Show them how great this games community can be!
The guys will spend a lot of time wondering how the ship self repaired and didn't sink

I Guess they are meant to be used in combo with other weapons, like flintlock and knives, ore double barrel and knives
Barrel stuffing a eye of reach followed by a knife jab can be pretty effective
@@CliffTheStoryGuy yeah, unfortunately it tries to be a middle ground between blunder's burst dmg and pistol's range/fire rate
but unfortunately in a game like SoT, taking a weapon thats just ok in 2 slots will always pale in comparison to a weapon that excels at 1
The knives however are unique in the sense that its a melee weapon that has a decent ranged option

Cliff! I just wanted to say thanks for all your uploads. I started on PS5 as soon as it became available, but watching the Sea of Tales while I waited for release made it so much better when I finally got to play!

If you go back to the same shrine you found the wind caller in there will be ANOTHER wind caller GARENTEED.
I did that a few hours later and there was none..
I typically love fog. I’ve pulled several maneuvers with it to escape other crews and always keep on the look out for it when I need to go. A quick turn around behind rocks can really drive pursuers up a mast.
I am a bit late to this but it's fun to see you playing with the new weapons! I haven't gotten to play since the siren skull update so I've been dying to see how these new weapons work. Thanks again for another great video ^^

For some reason my load times have been unbearable since Season 12 launched so thanks for showing off some good gameplay to lift my spirits!
Reinstall, on main drive preferably i think the problem is with the game updating wrongly on external disks

I've yet to find the "Wind Waker" horn myself (Imma nickname it the Siren Horn), but I have gotten to try out a lot of the other weapons. Mostly just experimenting with them in PvE, especially for the new Comms that they added. As of right now, I am enjoying the Throwing Knives, but have learned that if you are doing Skelly Hunting, it's better to have at least one gun weapon on hand, as it takes three thrown knives to kill a Rusted Golden Skelly, but just one shot from any gun.
The two times I’ve found it have been in shipwrecks

I'd taken a break from the game as I was bored of it even with the new loot. But when I heard about the new weapons and tried the knife oh man that really brought me back. We get new loot all the time so something like a new weapon was really fun and I'm playing way more again.

I'm one of the new PS5 players and pre ordered the game asap. Since launch I gathered around 120 hrs.
I basically binge watched all your videos fron the past 12 months and a lot of the older ones. I'm gonna be pirat legend tomorrow (just in lvl missing) and made a view new friends on the sea.
I also was once had a leading part in an 11 player alliance that stacked fod 10x and one fort of fortune. This game just produces so many nice moments.
Just aanted to let you know all that.

you can also get the new throwable weapon "bone caller" when you first start the game by checking barrels an cannon ball barrel's at outpost or islands or even forts

If you find a wind caller in a treasury/shrine they will always spawn in that treasury/shrine on that server, you can farm them pretty easily that way

Btw @CliffTheStoryGuy you can Sprint while running over Harpoons, Then Jump at the end for more Efficiency
It doesn't have to be the main trading companies you reach 50 in for Pirate Legend, it can be any three from Merchant Alliance, Order of Souls, Gold Hoarders, Hunters Call or Reaper's Bones
Pro tip, shipwrecks can give a ton of bonecallers. I normally get between 2 and 8 from shipwrecks so I always dive down as I drive past them.

I mean season 12 is my favourite season yet because there are so many new ways to kill other pirates which can be very fun if you put them in challenges

I found a teck with the throwing knives that basically makes u double throw!
The timing is very tight and I don't have precise values, but the inputs are: Hold M2 (throw position), M1 (throw) than spam M1 and stop holding M2. The important timing is when you drop the M2 input. If you miss, it'll throw a knife and then do a stab, but if you get it right it'll double throw (like, 2 knives in less than a sec), basically cutting the animation of grabing a knife to throw!
It's most likely a bug, and I have a feeling the second knife might deal the stab dmg instead of the throw dmg. I haven't been able to test this against players to be sure about that second knife dmg. It's kinda hard to say "hey! I need your help with something that involves me throwing knives at you repeatedly", so if you could try this teck and maybe test the values against players it'd be awesome!

@@mikael100100 and with 5% of the consistency xD So far is a gimmick, but if someone prectices and gets consistent with it, it'll become the fastest TTK in the game (if the second knive deals the throw dmg that is...)

@@mikael100100 Not peak gun swaping, but much faster that what it is now (basically, it's like doing 2 knife stabs, but ur throwing the knives instead). I got to some more testing. The second knife deals full dmg, so 2 hits are 120 dmg, so IT KILLS!! Also, the timing to drop the M2 is just frames before you stab (so it's easier to replicate, just pay attention to the time between the throw and the stab when you fail). I can pull it off like 1 every 4-5 tries, so It's slowly getting consistent!

Did you keep the horn after the dive I haven't tried that out yet I feel like it should come with you sense it's a tool but it's also loot
The knife is literaly the best weapon. No reload time, u can hold the charged melee and walk around until u decide to release, and idk about damage but throwing seems to do enough damage to fight anything(besides gold skelis)
