Thank you so much, you’re the best crochet teacher I’ve watched so far!! You make things so easy to understand. I’ve successfully made my first granny square 🙌🏼🥹
I've been trying for years to remember how to crochet. I played this video about 10 times trying to figure out where it was losing me. I finally got it! Anyone having trouble grasping it, just keep practicing. It will come to you, it just takes persistence and practice.
I have been trying to find a good tutorial for what feels like an eternity and after following along with your video ONE time I made my first granny square!! This is the most helpful guide I've ever seen THANK YOU
This is an awesome tutorial!! I started crocheting with amigurumi and I’m embarking on my first blanket but could NOT figure out how to do the granny square my pattern called for. Now that I understand the mechanics of a granny square I’m ready to start!! Thank you!!!!
Ive been crocheting for a while and wanted to learn how to make a granny square, this video helped me so much and i love how your showing us step by step .
BEST TUTORIAL THANK YOUUU im not an absolute beginner ive done some things like amigurumi, and all the other granny square tutorials are for the most beginner people with a long explanation for every basic step - this tutorial was nice and simple and short for someone like me who already knows the basic basic things
I have been trying different tutorials with zero success and 100% aggravation! But NOW I can do it! Thank you, and to answer your question, you are an excellent teacher 🙂
I have never crocheted ever! I was close to giving up and took me multiple tries but I’ve now made two granny squares! No idea what I’ll do with them yet but I’m just happy I learned! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️ you made this clear and simple
Thank you so much! I’ve struggled with everything past the most basic crochet stitch and went through like four or five tutorials to try and figure out how to granny square! This was SO HELPFUL! Thank you so much!!
Your an amazing teacher thank you so much for this tutorial It took me two days but I got the hang of it and I think I’m gonna try and make a blanket it. I’m still new to crocheting and I only know how to do a single stitch and double stitch. But learning this is gonna open the door for so many projects I can do!! I really appreciate you and please don’t ever stop posting you’re really easy to learn from!! Thank you so much 🫶❤️
Also if you could and don’t already have a video on it break down how to read and do crochet patters or the lingo because I don’t really understand it and it’s just overwhelming.
I'm a beginner and trying to make granny squares but all of the videos that I watched failed me. LOL. But this tutorial video is fantastic!! No complex instructions and every step is well explained!!!
Thank you I just started last month and this is the first tutorial I tried for making a granny square. I appreciate your clear instructions and taking the time to teach beginners like me 🩷
Wonderful tutorial! I just couldn't figure out how to make a square and used to make slip stitch rows until I found your video. Thank you for the amazing explanation
Hi :) actually great tutorial for a beginner, it was clear to me. I only know basic stitches and how to crochet them in rows. It helped to me that I first just learned those and practiced for several days (slip knot, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet). Those were not perfect, but now when I know these basics this tutorial is easy to understand :) also, tip for anyone if it's too fast for you, you can always slow down the video in settings :) that also helps for me to see where all the fingers or loops are in specific moment :D
Thank you very much for this tutorial, I tried to make a granny square many times before, but I was never able to figure it out until I saw this video!❤
Embarrassingly I have been crocheting over a year and have made quite intricate arimigumi projects but I can’t for the life of me make a simple granny square 😭
I’m new to crocheting and I don’t know if it’s because of my lack of consistency in tightness (I tend to be a tight knitter) or that I just have trouble identifying amount of stitches or the circle in the center but I’m now in my seventh attempt at this haha. I will keep trying!
im obsessed! I'm a crochet beginner (this is my second successful pattern ive completed) and ive made 4 of them! i think I might make a bag or something. I'm excited to make my first project 🤔
This was so great!! I’m 37 and lost a lot of motor skills after being sick for two years and I have been dying to get back into crochet because it was my happy place. I tried a hat and it didn’t work so I found this and so far I’ve been able to do everything!!! Definitely nowhere near perfect but well enough that I have hope that I can do all of this again soon! Thank you so much! Do you have a text pattern that I could download?

Okay, this looks so easy but yet I can’t seem to do it… I dont understand if you keep putting it in the same first hole, or do you switch to a new hole? My ring doesn’t look like a ring, I keep getting confused
anyone else trying to make granny squares and it just ends up into a small messy crochet circle? lmaooo i can’t figure this out for the lifeeee of me. this is the second video i’ve watched on granny squares and i’ve watched both 3+ times and slowed it down and still can’t get it 🤦🏻♀️
That can happen if the corners don’t come out right. So make sure to do the 2 double crochet clusters in the corners. I hope this can help, you got this! 😊💕
I was having this exact problem myself until today I finally managed to do it! The trick is to make sure that every time you do a cluster of three double crochets, that you move them along the ring so that they sit right next to each other! Then when you do your next cluster of three they should sit at around a 90° angle to the first cluster, and so on until you have your 4 clusters and you’ve finished the first round. At that point it should look like a square!
Honestly they are kind of hard at first but if you make sure to keep your tension the same the whole time and also as some others have said do a few more rounds WITH THE SAME TENSION and it will start to go square, also make sure you aren’t pulling to tight because that will make it curl inwards and be more round. As well make sure you take your time doing your corners as that will make or break the shape! Hope this helps xx

This is amazing but when I am going through the process it becomes round
That can happen if the corners don’t come out right. So make sure to do the 2 double crochet clusters in the corners. I hope this helps! 😊
