Ahhh the good ol' days of Walmart. I still remember the old design of the building. Idk if they still do this, but back then they would give out smiley face stickers. Many stores back in the days would give children free sample toys and tons of stickers, maybe even a free cookie at the bakery section.
We didn't have Wal-Mart in my home state back then. It looks like it was a nice homey store before it got so big. I shop at Wal-Mart when I need to, and I usually get good service and prices. I just feel like it's too big, overwhelming and busy. I wish I had gotten to experience Wal-Mart before it grew so big. I hate the way Wal-Mart's move into towns and put everything else out of business, but that is how Capitalism and free enterprise work, and I'm 100% in favor of Capitalism. I just wish more people supported struggling businesses, instead if retail giants. Not Wal-Mart's fault. They created a store people want to shop at. I just try to support smaller grocery stores and less thriving department stores. I grew up with Kmart, as we didn't have Wal-Mart in my state back then. I miss it.
I still remember back in the 2000s when they had those demo consoles so high up that you had to strain your neck to play the newest coolest games. and then you leave with a free smiley face sticker
Was Walmart a fun place to shop? I remember we used to have a pet area with the fish and I got a lion king lunch box once. Other than that it was just a place for coupons.
Back when Sam Walton was alive, they had a money back guarantee that if you weren't satisfied for any reason you could return the product, and get a full refund, even if you had used it. This was 30 years ago when you could trust them, today they're a greedy corporate entity that doesn't need you, because tens of millions are lining up to replace you.

Kmart is not completely out of business. It is not Walmart's fault, but it is the fault of Kmart corporate execs stealing company-owned money for their own use that led to Kmart filing for Chapter 11 in 2002. When that happened, their first set of stores closed.
