Yu-Gi-Oh! (Japanese: 遊☆戯☆王, Hepburn: Yū-Gi-Ō!, lit. 'Game King') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between September 1996 and March 2004. The plot follows the story of a boy named Yugi Mutou, who solves the ancient Millennium Puzzle. Yugi awakens a gambling alter-ego or spirit within his body that solves his conflicts using various games.
I always try to use official art in my videos but if I accidentally used someone's fan art I apologize and hope you can forgive me. Thank you.

GREAT SANS LOGIC YUGIOH DARK SIGNER VIDEO,
Well it's not jadens fault he just wanted smoke
5ds had the best dub opaning ever
Hyperdrive is such a bop
Apart from DM, Vrains and Sevens all dub openings are great.
@@user-rq6nd2je3vNot the DM opening hate! 😭
5ds up to ep 64 is the best the whole yugioh anime has to offer
Luna was supposed to be a prodiggy but in all her duels, even in the bad half of the show, the most she does is to summon her dragon
Man i have been
waiting for this
video to come
out for a while
the dark signers arc
does bring back
some memories
man I haven't
re-watched this
arc of 5ds since
I was a kid
when they were
still dubbing the
arc here and there
honestly not going
to lie this arc has
a lot of flaws
that i have never
even noticed
before until now
the things you never
noticed when you are
watching the arc
as a kid here
and there
growing up
at the time
man when you
was getting pissy
about part's of the
arc i was like oh boy
but all in all
good video
keep with
the good
work
Nowadays when I go to rewatch 5DS, I watch it for Jack and Carly's relationship during the Dark Signer arc. Jack had some amazing character development, I'm sad they backtracked on that in the final season after the DS arc. But oh well...
Absolutely phenomenal video.
The dark signers arc was the best piece of Yu-Gi-Oh Media we've ever had, fight me.
Except Yusei vs Kiryu round 2 is one of the worst duels in history, and the other two duels Yusei had afterwards, with Godwin and his brother, weren't that great either, but outside of that it's an awesome arc, I agree. Arc Cradle is 100% better though.
@@genyakozlov1316 i'v never heard this take before.
Why would you think the rematch is one of the worst duels in history?
Holy…YES all this I didn’t know I needed but I need now! Sorry Crow you’re awesome mom bird but yeah you were too awesome and got in the way of some character development
I love it,you got everything right
I didn't watch the new show Go Rush, but the new female lead character has a good arc, from what I saw on the net.
I think that if Crow gets dropped there is room for Demak to justify his existence. Rua has more of a connection with Bommer and half the purpose of Crow dueling him that people found appealing was "an [at the time] non-Signer against a Dark Signer." If Crow is cut then there's more room for Demak to become a character and given he and Zeman have a link to the Spirit World he has a reason to 1v1 Ruka. While the Demak duel was really dull and it didn't even have Ruka dueling since the main plot of the episodes was "isekai'd into the Spirit World" it at least gives something for Ruka with her Duel Monster Spirit connection, without it she loses basically the one moment she was actually relevant. And it gives the twins more opportunity to be established outside of the context of being twins.
I would just rewrite the Demak episodes to drop the "Ruka in the Spirit World" segment and just make her duel instead. The spirit world plot with Zeman the Ape King could be conveyed in the duel itself with maybe some minimal spirit world segments (or maybe have the entire duel take place in the Spirit World?), and time saved by not needing to jump between the two plots could be used to give Demak's backstory and why he's linked to the Spirits as well.
You should reallly check out Yugioh Sevens. Its the show that I think dethrones 5Ds for me, especially since I dont have to do a "Part 1" thing for it. 92 eps of great respected cast and duels. Go Rush is pretty great too at that, hell I think thats merely the whole point of Bridge to correct Gallops wrongs be a very inclusive show for even the side characters
Sayer was supposed to be in another arc where he’s kidnapping psychic kids to add to his army. Akiza was supposed to take Yusei and others to the island to save the kids but Akiza was supposed to be the one take down Sayer.
I do agree Crow shouldn’t have been the next signer cause he already was in the manga and Leo deserved to get that Heart of the dragon on his arm.
Sooo after hearing your 10 points i just would make 1 adjustment
It being Crow is still a character but gets absorbed like the other of Yusei's friends by the earthbound immortal.
Doesn't kill off the character, still lets the 5 signers be the 5 signers and that's about it XD
Considering the fact Crow was supposed to be a dark signer at first no wonder why his importance felt so "forced", mf wasn't supposed to be a good guy
Art book said he was supposed to be a minor antagonist who tried to steal Yusei's Runner, nothing about him being a Dark Signer, that's entirely made up by fans.
@@genyakozlov1316yup
I like Crow but it's actually crazy how unnecessary he is to the series
It was perfect until after the dark signers arc.
To be honest I loved 5ds but there were soooo many flaws and issues also Yusei as a main character just wasent up to par even tho I still think he was great too
It is kinda silly how easy it was not to mess up with 5DS. The easiest way to not mess Carly up was to...not revive her. The easiest way to make Crow way less messed up is to just not make him a signer. The easiest way to make Divine more satisfying is to just not revive him...again.(Seriously, I thought supplementary material is supposed to enhance, not destroy) And there of course are several duels were Yusei could have just lost without any narrative change...which yeah, the writers being allergic to giving Yusei losses outside of flashbacks is an actual issue.
that not racist caught me so off guard lol
You're goddann right
The writers would have needed to make Godwin god dang OP for a 5v1, non turbo duel. (reminder that Wiraqocha functionnaly oneshots in turbo duels, but needs 2 turns if the duelist doesn't crash)
I think it would have gone like this :
• Godwin goes first and FTK Yusei and Jack (things would be hard to follow with a team of 5)
• The remaining characters take their turns and some of them (including Leo) summon a Synchro, no really impressive turns but they stop whatever burn setup Godwin had.
• Godwin goes crazy again, loops Wiraqocha (by using the fact it has 1 ATK/DEF) and sets everyone's LP to 1.
• Leo pulls out Life Stream Dragon out of thin air and completely walls Godwin.
• Godwin summons the King of the Netherworld, but doesn't finish off anyone.
• The Duel ends with the summon of the Crimson Dragon by using Life Stream Dragon + Black Rose Dragon + Ancient Fairy Dragon.
Ok i like the idea of Team 5ds facing Goodwin is cool but how would it work?
Gotta be the best Yu gi oh
i love how its made the charachters the story and real wourlds brutality + technology from the future that can become reality
also this is all incorporated into the "kids card game" anime
I'm always hesitant to discuss 5D's because my opinion of the show can be summarized with "it ended at Dark Signers". To me, everything that comes afterward is too different to be considered part of the same show... but I've been vilified for this opinion before, so it isn't something I like to mention.
Dark Signers wasn't perfect either, of course. I think most people with a critical eye can see what the problem with Crow is. That being said, it at least tries to remain consistent with itself, and I still consider it the absolute peak of Yu-Gi-Oh as a whole (with the stuff afterward dragging down 5D's compared to other series).
Just because of these issues, to me, the closest to perfection was Zexal. And even it had some serious problems that are obvious to a critical eye... so really, the whole series is full of problems. lol
Sevens exists.
Also what critical eye, do you love the show or not, a "critical eye" can say anything, they aren't unbiased
@@AguniSoul I watched one episode of Sevens, and for my sanity's sake, I was unable to continue. I would prefer not to talk about it.
As for how I feel about the show... I love the first part of 5D's (up to the end of Dark Signers), even if I do have some minor gripes with it (mostly related to Crow). Zexal is my second favorite YGO behind Arc-V, and I think it's probably better than Arc-V, but I just like Arc-V more than Zexal.
@@gyppygirl2021 "for my sanity's sake" over an entry to a childrens card game franchise, maybe you should go to a doctor for that
anyways, Sevens is imo the best show in years, surpassing 5Ds and Zexal, there's lots of love behind
@@AguniSoul Yeah, I could barely make my way through a single episode because it was so thoroughly unpleasant to me. Sorry, but I have to disagree here.
I honestly don't care for 5ds. a protag that never loses or duel not finished is an easy way to not be invested. there's no real growth from your losses.
Dark signer arc shoot most of the show has probably the thickest plot armor then Yugi myself
Yugi in the manga never loses. The only reason he lost in the leviathan arc was because it was supposed to be filler.
@@gkarak1996 yugi lost to Pegasus in episode two.
@@Cardlimits that wasn't a loss, he just lost to time at a point where he had the upper hand. It's not like there was any growth from this moment.
On the other hand Yusei does lose in 5D's. His entire motivation at the beginning of the series is due to him having lost to jack, and then he has a lot of character growth from his duel with Kiryu, which while it didn't technically finish, was regarded as a loss by everyone in that same series. He also has a rematch with Jack in season 3 where he's so disturbed by yliaster's power he would have lost had Jack not interrupted it, and it made him realize his mistakes
@@bigfish5544 yes it was a lost, higher life when the time runs out counts. you have to play at an event outside your house to know that.
And another thing Leo Luna and akiza don’t ride duel runners so how would they duel Goodwin lol your logic doesn’t work my guy
There was no reason for the duel to be a turbo one so just make it a standing duel
@@sanslogic23 it would not make sense for it to be a standing duel in a series about duel runners
Thanks, dearest algorithm, for showing me this masterpiece of an essay, YES🩷
These are all the reasons why I'm writing 5D's fanfictions, ahahaha
That means so much to me, thank you 😊 ❤️
