If you can, try and watch the original creature movie in traditional Anaglyph 3D. The special effects used in it still holds the standard to how movies in 3D should be shot.
Yea this comic wasn’t as great as I was hoping. It’s good but I’m not that fond of the main character either. I was hoping it would be as good as the Dracula series by Tynion & simmonds.
Just got through issue 2. It's still going really fast but also just spinning it's wheels. While the Second creature from the black lagoon is an ok film and the third being an atrocity that should be forgotten, there are many spiritual successors to the creature. Humanoids from the deep being a low budget darker turn, and shape of water being a more brightened romantic take of a sequel. This comic is neither. It's a terribly written disaster with weak circumstances and coincidences that follow an unlikable lead. By the end of the second issue we get slightly more creature, but still just weak

Really liked the art, ashame the writing wasn't really there, I believe some old creature features would work great as comics
I gave this one a chance but didn't connect with the book. Too bad, I've enjoyed both Ram v and Dan Watters other works.

Dracula was awesome! And nobody was surprised, given the creative team lol
