- Talk's Ian Collins reacts to the news that the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine can cause side effects, including 'rare blood clots'.
AstraZeneca revealed soaring sales over the latest quarter as it was boosted by its cancer drugs.
Shares in the Cambridge-based company jumped by 5% in early trading on Thursday as shareholders welcomed the performance.
The pharmaceutical giant revealed that total revenues jumped by 19% to 12.68 billion US dollars (£10.1 billion) for the first quarter of 2024, surpassing analyst expectations.
Ian says it’s “something to keep our eyes on."

It also doesn't matter which jab cause they all used the spike protein. Though Pfizer and Moderna's will be worse as they are MRNA with lipid nanoparticles. Anything else?

If you ask someone if they know for certain the vaccine saved them from covid or whether it was their own natural immunity all you will hear is crickets, or they still follow the narrative that there is no natural immunity to the virus.

@lucuslovesyou2961 it's not rare. It's at best 1 in 800, acording to the yellow card scheme. At worst it's much more prevalent, as the yellow card scheme was little known about. There have been 11,000 injury claims in three months. It's going to get much worse.

Yes this is what really concerns me ,the interference and complex nature of the igG4 in the human body is worrying as they are critical for the immune system ,evolving and complicated data is yielding worrying sighs ,of course this is what we were saying all along ,the long term effects ! on our finely balanced immune system ,the reality sinks in when we continually see people around us become ill on a scale somewhat higher than other times , thorough research is critical ,something that seemed to have vanished in the rollouts ...

These events are far from rare. The incidence of adverse reactions from all the vaccines used throughout the Pandemic, are now confirmed, world wide, to be at the horrific, unprecedented level of 1 in 800. This is appalling, and the numbers are greatly above a level which would normally result in a complete cancellation of the vaccination programme. Yet the Authorities are ignoring this and still pushing the product.
So rare that the AZ was withdrawn. The hard of thinking who had them haven't yet fathomed the significance of that.
People seem to be completely brainwashed. Some will never believe the truth.
I looked up the definition of rare side effects--A rare side effect is an adverse reaction that affects between 1 in 1,000 and 1 in 10,000 people. Even at these numbers, once you realize that over 1 billion people in India alone received at least one dose "rare" is no longer "rare". With numbers like these, somewhere between 100,000 and 1,000,000 people could have this "rare" side effect just in India.
That's not the rate of side effects, that's the rate of events that result in a severe disruption, such as having to go to the hospital or death. The rate of having side effects in general is way higher.
Ian has been very disparaging in the past about Andrew Bridgen, the hero of the hour, who has suffered politically, and been personally vilified for merely asking for a suspension while more research was carried out into the effect upon our hearts. I will never forget that. Sod granny, and I am one myself! Sacrificing our children for people who had already had a good innings was utterly disgraceful.

It's not as rare as they claim, it certainly didn't stop the spread of the virus either. I also know people who'd had it and caught the virus and ended up in hospital, so how effective really was it?
The stats clearly show that those who ended up in hospital with covid were overwhelmingly the unvaccinated like an unvaccinated man I know in his sixties who spent 3 weeks in hospital with covid and who tooks several months to fully remove after being discharged. He very much regretted listening to the sceptics and not being vaccinated.

AZ made their vaccine available at cost when it was most needed and I don't suppose that are still producing it. The age thresholds for boosters has been increased for the very good reason that current strains of covid are not as dangerous as earlier ones.

It was already mandatory. The conservatives made it mandatory for all people working in social care. Many people lost their jobs because they felt forced to take the vaccine and they refused. The conservatives tried to make it mandatory for Health workers who refused, and started to strike.
Social care workers vacancy rates were bad before, but that has made a buckled system, broken. Tories did that.

I became very anaemic after my jabs, first time ever in my 63 very healthy years. My GP said he could understand why, so I had tests and a colonoscopy to see if the cause was a bleed inside me. All came out clear. Since then other people I know suddenly developed anaemia after taking the covid jabs. One was a young lady.

Then surely it should never have been given to people with a previous history of DVT and Pulmonary Embolism. When I say 'previous' I mean long term,35 years of taking Warfarin. It was questioned , again and again and reassured it was safe. Well it obviously wasn't !

I am of the Opinion that The issues are under reported. Two people i know who had a bad reaction bed for a couple weeks after didnt report it at all and when told about yellow card system there after, didnt want to be labled a nutter so no reports of the adverse event were made. 1 even self censored at bingo because of initial ridicule and i would presume, fear of ostracisation.

But for three years I have faced denial after denial for my condition and this news only makes my fight harder I am now at the second stage of fighting for my vaccine damage payment because not only because the doctors who treated me deny my illness was caused by the vaccine but they themselves are scared to go on the record and state the facts I have brain damage lung damage hart damage with three hart valve destroyed and eight stents and numerous medication and a icd fitted before the vaccine I was a keyworker who drove hgv to keep the national feed and watered and with toilet rolls
Now I am disabled and can’t walk up stairs thank you AstraZeneca
All they'll do is give a bit of compensation when they have do , it won't fit the crimes.
