before removing the vapor hose and loosening the bolts to the fuel pump itself, I would suggest to anyone doing this job, VACUUM THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP (and surrounding areas), because it would suck ass to drop crap into the tank once you remove the fuel pump only to clog your new fuel pump and filter... take the extra time and DO IT RIGHT.. peace
You guys have helped me in so many videos, seems like you have a lot of how to videos on Toyota products. Considering I have owned 2 Toyotas now, you guys have saved me quite a bit of money and time spent AWAY from shops/dealerships. Fortunately I have basic automotive knowledge and a lot of tools so these videos always keep me guided in the right direction. I just battled a knock sensor issue in my 2004 GS430, found out my fuel injectors were fouled up really bad, one in particular was really bad. So I'll definitely be getting a fuel pump kit for this car. I'm ordering my new ignition coils through you guys actually, the TRQ high performance ones, they surely have my interest! Already have the new NGK Ruthenium Sparks Plugs in it, those alone make such a big difference in this car. Can't wait until I have all the ingredients to do this tune up and have her back on that road at a full 100% health
Good on how to remove the assembly, but this unit can't be bought as a whole assembly anymore, and to change the actual pump the bottom fuel filter should be removed as well. Would of liked to see that and the required o rings for it.
What are the symptoms to look out for failing fuel pump or fuel filter ? And how often you should be replacing them ? Thanks for your great step by step video 🙌🏼👍🏼
I liked this at First and did give it a Thumbs up, But Title of Video says Locate and REMOVE Fuel Pump, Well, The Feed I got must have skipped about 5-10 minutes of video because there wasn't any removal? Did lift the Filter/ Pump 3/4 the way out of tank then Bang back in Tank and put bolts Back in? Should be titled Locate and how to remove Bolts and Eyeball unit without removing!
This video did leave out a bunch of info. What happened once the assembly came out? Was there wiring that needed to happen? Why did draining the tank info get mentioned at the end if it is a critical step before disconnecting the fuel/breather hose on top of pump cover?
Took off my breather hose and gas started going everywhere so do I have to drain the tank cuz the video said nothing about draining the tank… can anyone help?

Completing the entire process would be beneficial. Never assume everyone watching can "FIGURE IT OUT" from here.

You have clean the top cover before removing the fuel pump to avoid dirt fall inside the tank.
+Alex Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!

Appreciate the effort but this was definitely a fail, Did you rebuild the pump or did you replace the whole sending unit or ? I guess we’ll never know

I love how the part about draining the fuel tank, comes after the replacement of the fuel pump. DONT FORGET TO DRAIN BEFORE REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP
Thanks for this. Made me way more comfortable doing it myself
Something about Sue I find intriguing, best presenter on the channel in my opinion..
