Hi Jerry, the short answer is: Yes, I still love to tie and fish Mop flies. The longer answer: I featured a Mop in my book, and recommend it be tied that way now. You wear a hat any way you what. Just wear the right hat, wide brim, to protect from the sun. Sun screen isn't fool proof , believe me.
