- On the last day of this South Island Diaries, I team up with my buddies Mike Kirkpatrick and Hans Kruer and we set off with plans to walk in to a remote river and sight fish to some big trout.
The weather had other ideas however and after walking a fair way, it became apparent that the river was rising fast and we needed to abort and do something else.
Plan B was a bust too and so we kept on moving around until we found fishable water. Could we end the trip with a fish to the net..?

Love these clips! You should do an exploration of the south West coast of the south Island! If you like streamer fishing the delta fishing on the pike Hollyford circuit was incredible.
