Finally a video that doesn't just say to check the drain tube and filter or the gasket for debris. Those things are important too, but this was the video that went a bit deeper into the inner workings of the drainage system -- and turned out to be our problem. Thank you! Fixed

Perfect. Just finished and it was completely clogged. Thanks for making this video.

This was exactly what I needed to do! The spring on my Kenmore was VERY stiff and kept popping off. I used adjustable six-inch clamps to hold the ring in two places (similar to installing band saw tires) and was able to get the ring on! Thank You!!!
Great tip! These things can be a pain. Any tricks are helpful. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Wanna say thank you for this video. I did exactly what was shown on the video and sure enough I had a bunch of gunk in the hose which smelled really bad but now its clean as a whistle, Thanks again !!

This turned out to be my fix. I had originally thought it was the latch. Then due to videos maybe the hinge for some reason. Glad I found this before I bought hinge. It worked. Thank you!!

Thanks for the video, got me started. Our LG looks just like yours but the drain set up is totally different. Mine had 3 weep holes at the bottom where yours had the tube. My weep holes were plugged giving the leak at the front door. Your video put me on the right path to fix it. Using a small J hook allowed the spring to go back on in 3 minutes so again. Thanks for the assist.
Glad it helped. Even if I only spark the idea and you take the rest of it solo that’s still a success in my books. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
I’m grateful for this! Solved my problem exactly. Took me 15 minutes to do everything and THEN…that metal ring. Spent about an hour trying to get back on. Finally, found tool on Amazon one of the other posters mentioned. $25 with next day delivery. Lifesaver!
Nice. I’m glad you found the video and the correct tool. I cheaper out and didn’t buy the tool. First time I did the metal ring I slipped and punched the metal rim and needed stitches. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Just need 4 hands is all😂
Patience and two hands works. But an extra set of helper hands would definitely reduce frustration. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe

pretty gnarly. Ours was way gross, but this did the trick. Our machine is 16 years old, other than the occasional wipe of the gasket, this was the first time I really went to town cleaning it... bleh. Lots of chunks coming out, it seemed like it just kept coming. As far as the metal ring went, I have a little pick set from Harbor Freight and one of them has a hook end. Getting the ring seated like you show and then hooking the end up the spring with the hooked style pick worked pretty well - went together on the second attempt. Two test runs so far and no leaks!
Ya it gets pretty loaded with crud. More so if you have pets. The tool I used was from Amazon and listed as a trampoline spring puller for when you assemble a new trampoline. They also have spring compressor pliers but those are pricey. A hook or pick like what you used is very easy and affordable to buy. I’m glad to see this solved your issue. Thanks for watching. Thanks for this video. At first suspected the filler valve on mine. Took the top and back panels off the machine and found it clean and as dry as as bone. Then found this video. Followed your instructions, but couldn’t get the little hose off without really forcing. Gave up and ran cue tips and a wire through the hole, the flushed with a squeeze bottle of hot water and diluted bleach. Seems to have worked. Thanks again.
Nice. You put a personal twist on my video. That’s good. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Please like and subscribe
Mine was totally clogged. Super easy to take apart and clean. Super hard to put it all back together. LG should build an access door for easier fix.
Thank you so much! You just saved my marriage lol We watched your U tube video and fixed our problem! Thank you

thank you! I have water building up in the gasket so I'll be using this process soon. I have a Maytag washer so I'm going to check for differences first. I'm sure it is similar.

This was exactly our problem! Thank you for the guide! :) ours was leaking out of the bottom at the very front because the front gasket was not connected to the drum drainage
I had that happen a while ago because the dirt and lint pack in so tight it popped the seal off. Surprisingly a very easy fix to a potentially pricy service call. Thanks for watching. Glad it helped. Please like and subscribe
Thank you bro 😊

You my friend, are a life saver! Was a pain in the as*&^% to get all the clamps off and back on but I kept at it until I got it all back together.
I’m glad you got it fixed. Patience is definitely key here. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
There’s a trick you can do with the hose clamps. Put a socket over the hose clamp park you usually grap with pliers. It holds it open so you have an extra hand free. Helped me a ton with this
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Thank you! Thanks to you I removed and replaced the seal spring and used your good idea of a tool with a hook on it.
Do you know if there is filter at the end of the white bit if plastic tube? I poked it with a metal tube it seemed super blocked. Fingers 🤞 Thank you
You put that wire on like a pro my guy. The trouble I've had with that gasket wire!
That’s because this was my second time doing it. I did it once before when replacing my whole gasket. First attempt was a disaster. I ended need up needing stitches lol. Glad you found this video helpful. Please like and subscribe
How to pot the wire back is the key. It is not easy if you don’t have a good tool
Even if the “wrong tool” is used it is easy if you know the technique
I owe you a beer!
Make it an MGD please. Even in the dead of winter they go down nice. Glad the video was helpful. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Everything like in the video - lot's of debris removed. BUT, I can not put back the second clamp (connecting the top). Will call my friend to help...
Thanks for sharing this video. What kind of plier did you use to reinstall/clamp the drain hose?
The pliers are called channel lock pliers. standard in most plumbing projects. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Ok. So this is not ruled out completely as the cause of my leak. HOWEVER...I am getting water leaking through the little hole where the cleanout door latch goes when shut. It leaks worse when cold water is filling vs. warm or hot. I can actually feel it spraying when its filling if I stick my finger up inside tvat hole when its filling with cold water. Its not leaking around the door to the drum. This is the door where the drain hose and lint filter are. We opened the back and its all dry inside. Any ideas? My washer is an LG SIGNATURE WM9500HKA. It is 4½ years old.
Hi, good video. My LG front load is leaking from the door, but is draining fine. Got any suggestions, before I begin this procedure?
Inspect the rubber seal. Mine did that a couple years before this video was made and I found a tiny hairline crack in the bottom. It was about the size of an eyelash. Lu had to stretch the rubber to see it. Then I replaced the seal. Thanks for watching please like and subscribe
Thanks for the video! I was given this machine and that little hose was packed full of crud!! But it is still leaking. Do you have any other ideas of what could be going on? Or, like, how to know if the pump is faulty without switching I out?
You can look at that rubber door seal. Pull it open and look inside for small hairline cracks. Water sometimes drips out of there. If not then the best bet is to run a load and lay infront of the machine and watch for where the drips come from. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
I also appreciate you sharing this too! Very helpfull ;) Where that water drain is going to? To a pump? Thanks!
It goes back into the drum. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Thank you!@@BillOfAllTrades2016
You’re welcome
I have this same washer and it works but makes a rubbing sound, do you know what might be making that sound?
Sounds like the drum is dislodged slightly. Unfortunately I’m not sure how to fix that.
هل التسريب فى هذه الحاله بيكون على الارض ولا من باب الغساله ؟ وايه الحل اذا التسريب من الامام ولكن مش من الباب ؟
The leak in this case was from the door. If the leak is from the front but not from the door then you have a crack in the rubber seal. This happened to me a while ago. You need a flashlight and you have to pull back the seams of the seal and stretch the seal with your hands to make it easier to see. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Hi, what the name of the part you took off to clean? I need to replace mine. Thank you
I mean the white plastic pieces I need, mine is broken Thank you
Need help I’m trying to get that wire in and it keeps come out like I can’t get it to stick in there
If it keeps slipping you may need a helper to hold one side while you pull on the other. The only way I got it easily was because I had practice. Hope this helps. Hope you get it back together. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
I did this. But I CANNOT get the metal wire back on. I’ve fought it for two hours. I don’t have a hook tool but I do have two screw drivers, I just can’t seem to make it work. Any advice ?
My only advice would be to stop trying with the screwdrivers because every time you try you will lose energy and be further from success. Go to the hardware store and buy some form of hook or perhaps spring release pliers. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
I can’t get the gasket wire back in place I’ve been struggling for the past 3hrs 😢😢😢😢 I’m beyond frustrated. Any tips on getting it back in place?
If you apply a bit of dish soap to the wire clamp it makes it a bit easier to slide into place. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
What if it’s leaking from the back at the top?
Is the leak coming from the hose connection? Remove the hoses and see the condition of the rubber washers in the hose connection. These could be damaged or maybe installed with no rubber washers. Hope this helps. Please like and subscribe
That spring is REALLY strong. He doesn't make it look that strong, but I can't seem to make it budge. I fear that if I do take it off, I won't be able to put it back on. That's probably why he needs that tool to help pull. There is no way you can just use a pointy driver with no hook to help make the slack.
Yes the spring is strong. We are all built differently in the way of strength. Using a tool is the only way to remove it. It can’t be done bare handed. There are spring pliers that can be used. But trampoline spring hooks are cheaper. It is easier than it looks. Hopefully you find the courage to perform this service. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
@@BillOfAllTrades2016 Liked and subscribed. I might just go and buy myself that tool. BTW, where are the leak coming from? How is it that unclogging that pipe fixes the leak? Do you have a video explaining the plumbing of LG washing machine?
When the pipe piece is functioning properly it allows the water that hits the door to drip down and go back into the machine drum which keeps the pressure off the door seal. It kinda keeps the water flowing properly. If it’s plugged then the pressure will build up on the seal and leak passed it between the door. I unfortunately do not have a video outlining the plumbing of the machine.
@@BillOfAllTrades2016 I recently unclogged my vacuum cleaner that was making a very loud noise. It looks like this is something that I must do as well. I already put an order in for the trampoline spring hook. It should arrive today. Let's hope the hook fits the spring hole.
It should fit. The hooks are pretty thin. A bit of advice, use cotton gloves. The heat from my hands warmed up the metal and I folded one of my two hooks. The gloves will keep some of the hand heat away. Sounds silly but tiz a fact
The metal piece with the spring is impossible to get back around
Just gotta have patience. It’s tough but it will get on there.
I once did it with my hands I have no idea how but I did it with no tools or anything
I have questions for him
For who? Me? What questions do you have?
Where would it be leaking? If this was clogged? Mine is leaking from the bottom. It seems.
Mine looked to be leaking from under but upon inspection it was leaking from the door. Where on the bottom is yours leaking from? Best way to tell is run the machine and lay on the floor with a flashlight to see where it drips. Thanks for watching. Hope this helps. Please like and subscribe
Mine too i think

I wondered the same question. Hmmm…
Check the inlet water valves under the top
What model no is it?
This washer is an LG Direct Drive WM2150HW. Thanks for watching. Hope the helped. Please like and subscribe
There's no hose on mine. It just runs back into the tub
Some door gaskets do not have the hole with the hose like this one, which is a good note to check if you ever need to replace the gasket. If you have a leak and there is no hose then my guess is you have a crack in the gasket that is leaking. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Washing machine door inside tub gaskat from water leaking
I don’t understand. Are you asking a question? Your sentence does not make sense
how much cussing was edited out while putting second clamp back on?
I actually kept it pretty calm and collected. But the first time I replaced the whole boot when it had a split I had to get stitches because my hand caught the edge when I put the clamp. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
Can anyone come and check mine washing machine and do this for me I rely on my mum to help me and she has just passed away my washing machine is leaking from the front of the seal this could help me a lot isn’t of paying $100 of dollars
You can give it a try. Its not that difficult
Just dropped the pliers into the washing machine while trying to remove the little 90° hose…😑
The dollar store has telescopic magnet wands. Stick that down in there and pull the pliers back out. Hope this helps. Just if they fell in they can come back out. Please like and subscribe
It is not clear at all how that spring band ring is removed and replaced properly.
I am not even going to attempt this procedure as that is the most important part of this process.
umm ok… I literally showed the whole process… explained it clearly… If you missed it then best for you to call a service tech. Diy isn’t for everybody. Thanks for watching.
