I’m a ford guy normally. I’ve owned A 2006 Ram and had 0 problems. The new 2019 looks really great. May be time to give Ram a go again. The only concern is the price point of these trucks. I could afford it but, do I want to pay 60k+
Cool truck. Is the engine purposely programmed to stay in the high RPMs when its revved like that? I like the old school throttle body opening and shutting quickly. That rev then it taking forever to close back up is kinda eh....

Jesse Simpson, If the aftermarket cannot build the grilles because the TM Ram logo, then leave a space for them, and go to a FCA body shop or dealer and buy the RAM head logo that is on the tailgate on some of the trim levels. I don't mind the "RAM" on the tailgate....wish it was stamped inwards instead of stuck on letters. But I dislike the "RAM" on the grille because it makes the truck look like a GMC from a distance. Well, the 2019 RAM looks like a GMC Sierra to me, even more so without the crosshair grille.
Jesse Simpson, I'm a Ford & Mopar fan, and when they said a couple years ago they were moving away from the Crosshair grille because they wanted to identify themselves as a separate brand from Dodge, I was like what!?!? I know RAM is it's own brand for years now, but people still call them Dodge Ram. I even accidentally catch myself doing it. Making the "RAM" letters as big as possible is not going to stop people from calling it "Dodge Ram". So Dodge gets to keep the Crosshair on their cars and SUVs, but RAM brand loses it. I would rather see the Ram-head on the front of the Trucks than the letters, that's for sure. Another thing that kind of kicked me off, is the memory setting for seats, pedals, mirrors, etc. That's helpful when one driver is shorter than the taller driver, but one thing that Mopar has done for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but keeps forgetting to put it in the RAM Trucks, is power-memory tilt & telescoping steering wheel. Ford has power-memory mirrors, seats, pedals, and steering wheel. Why can't RAM Trucks get this.... My dad owns a 2013 RAM 2500, my mom owns a 2011 Grand Cherokee, both have memory settings for seats & mirrors. Later on Jeep added memory tilt & telescoping steering wheel to the GC in 2015. RAM has power pedals now, I think but not the steering wheel. My 2002 F-150 was before memory settings, but when I have to drive either one of their vehicles because I'm taller than both of them, I jam my legs into the dash or steering wheel because neither have a power-memory steering wheels. Ok rant over. I'm beginning to understand why the Super Duty is $10K more than a RAM 2500 for the same trim level. More electronics & computers in the Fords. Maybe by the time the redesigned RAM 2500 gets here they will fix this small "power-memory" detail.
According to ram reps, even with the last model, the grills are the same size and attach the same way you can just swap it out with the OEM parts if you want to.
My mistake, they had pics up on the ram website that looked like the base trims still had cross grills I think some 2018 pic slipped in, but they have fixed it. That WAS the suggestion previously though.
This looks a lot like the Rebel TRX. I bet that truck is coming as a 2019 model since they merged the sport trim with the Laramie. Good lookin truck but I want the TRX!!
I'm guessing they did that for when the time comes to clean the intake you can just move that rubber out of the way rather than having to remove the whole thing off.

And I love the new look of the new ram it was about time they changed the looks and interior...but what was that exhaust sound...I saw that 5.7 badge...hopefully it was one of those " it's much deeper in person" moments. Never Dodge vehicles have low rev limiters in Park and Neutral. My Jeep wouldnt rev over 4k at a stand still. It makes an aftermarket exhaust pretty stupid...
I like the accessories... but... I'm disappointed that the air intake and exhaust don't come standard on the Laramie Sport model. You pick up a Sport and get what a different hood, and black grille, ok that's great... throw in the intake and upgraded exhaust and that's my definition of a "Sport Model"
From the looks of it no it wont because the RamRack has things resting on top of the bed rail so you wouldn't be able to open the rambox with the ramrack installed.
Bummed about Ram going to a hockey puck shifter, but they should totally get rid of their "4x4 Off-Road Package" and use this instead. MUCH better setup with this.

Disappointed as this video was posted over a year ago and yet the dealer still has no clue how to look up or order the Ram Rack (I had to show them this video to explain what it was) They managed to lookup the CAI but it is over $1600! No value there... I am ordering a Vararam this morning.
I like my "little" (6,350lb stk)2014 reg cab 1500; but mopar can suck the whole hen house for their prices and terms of conditions for installation. With that intake design you need to take it off every time to work in the bay, What is the surface area of the actual intake since your ramming air in from the grill and im assuming you blended the intake in with it (A S T H E T I C S) which will restrict air flow from the start. Ill stick to my KnN 63 series CAI with a big "cone hanging out the side". Planning on dropping the whole exhaust system for aFe headers and mids, Hell if i know what i'll settle on for the muffler and tail pipes but ill be damned if i don't swap it before my manifold bolts snap! I "customize" my baby right in my damn drive way with the boys, beer and a weekend.

That rubber connector for the ram air seems like it would be very turbulent for the incoming air. I would think it would be better if it was smooth.
