Edmunds restricted to full-size pickups? How about a Ranger to see how the 2.3 turbo and 10-speed hold up?
The list of recallls and issues you found are not minor. They're major quality issues, imo. And the mileage you have is not as much yet. Wait till you have 50k or 100K even just like most of the Japanese cars that you don't see the same issues as what you have at 35k.
I don't know how deep Mr. Edmunds' pockets are...but a long term fleet of option for option 1/4 ton diesel pick ups from Ford, Chevy, and Ram would be interesting to me. Each offers one and I haven't seen any real apples to apples comparos over the long term for any of them.
A f150 platinum
My Pontiac vibe! I’ll trade you straight across. It would be nice to see an ultra long term review of it by professionals, instead of my own crappy uncultured and uneducated review.
I have a 2020 ram with 16 miles on it.. so far so good..
Lmao
😂😂
Hahaha
Wait until it says 20 miles
My truck blew up at 100
I’d be interested to see a 100k mile review, actually long-term
I drive a 2014 ram 1500 on the daily. Has 122k on it and still runs like new. No major issues. They are great trucks
Old ones are better. 5.7 on new have oil starvation for cams at idle. Design flaw. I had 2006, headers and air box made big difference. New probably wouldn't help because of new computers, would have to tune it. Still didn't like it. Only because the windshield design made me car sick.? Never had a problem with any other car or truck. Even driving, got better after time.
By then they will have put 3 sets of exhaust manifolds on it
@loyal4 the way keep believing that. these new toyotas have a problem where the vehicle starts accelerating when you hit the brake lol.
I have a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Laramie with 77k miles. Runs like new! No issues at all
"long term" 35,000 miles is till stretching the legs of the vehicle. 75,000+ is long term and even that is barely an older vehicle.
highly doubt it makes 75k without some serious service work
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 5.7L that I bought new and just hit 77,000 miles. I have had a both front wheel bearings and the fuel level sedning unit replaced under warranty and thats it. Overall it has been a good truck.
"35,000 miles"
"Long term"
Bruh
In one year, that's a lot of miles. About as good as it gets right now.
@@gregorysmith3913 For what the manufacturer charges, "how reliable is the ram1500" should be done at 150,000 miles.
At 35k they’re already on the downhill.
It’s because it’s a Chrysler, high mileage for them is 30k hahahaha
Mine had transmission problems at 5000 miles the again at 35000 and lifter and cam issues at 38,000......
2017 with 131000 so far with no issues, avg 16-18 winter summer 18-19
reliability starts at 8:12
Bob Dylan thank you
👍🏻
Thanks
You the real MVP
Thank you Sir. Too the point. Like it.
I drive 30k a year. My tundra hasn’t had a single issue since I bought it 4 years ago. These issues with less than 40k miles are unacceptable.
Your tundras 18mpg on the highway is as well
Well then you don't but a Ram. I drove a Tundra and personally I wouldn't touch one. Just feels out dated, doesn't ride and handle as well, and fuel economy is pretty bad. This is a first year of this Ram a few minor issues wouldn't deter me from buying one.
Your Tundra has gone through many corrections over the years. This Ram is a first year issue for gen 5. All manufacturers go through a process of corrections over the course of a series cycle, so not a proper comparison...
Your Tundra hasn't gone through ANY changes in years despite some exterior looks. Ram made a all new truck so a few minor issues are to be expected but there isn't anything serious in this video that would push people to go the other way. My dad just got one and he has no problems with it even with those minor issues that some of the trucks have had.
@@whenibecamethesun..8759 you bought a truck and worry about MPG? go get a prius...chump
What is amazing is we don’t have a SUV version of this gorgeous interior RAM.
Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer is going to be Ram based
I need Rams version of the Yukon XL. Give us a three row sub with the Ram body styling
its sad
After 30 years of owning Mopar products, I have learned that this is typical. I never had one (of the many, many I've owned) that went past 50k without recalls, warranty work (much of which there was), electrical issues (most of what I experienced) and general poor workmanship, fit and finish. Lots of disappointment. Why did I keep buying them??? They attracted me with price, warranty, incentives , and design. I also wanted to by AMERICAN, Unfortunately, NONE of that equated to quality and reliability. I have since quit wasting my hard earned money and have had to admit that Toyota is where I have to go to get what I want. I don't like it, but that is the brand that has been the most solid performer for me.
It could have been built in Mexico.
Toyota is built in San Antonio Texas so its not all foreign. I love my Tundra, rock solid and even cheaper than a Ram.
Eric S you’ll probably never find any vehicle from any brand that won’t have some sort of recall before 50k miles. Better than the manufacturer not to do a recall and fix something.
I saw a Ram in a dealership floor, seems pretty realiable so far
come back after 350,000 miles. Then make a video.
very few people own a car that long. Not everyone wants to drive a 10yr+ car.
...ahhh, come back with what?? That truck...the RAM will NEVER ever ever last that long!! lol
312k on my 7.3idi. 1/2 million mile engine in a 150,000 mile truck. The motors still going strong and everything else is falling apart.
I own a 2019 Ram 1500.. I’ve owned it for a year now and it has almost 18k miles on it. It’s a piece of shit. I should’ve bought a Tundra or at least a 4Runner. Live and learn.
I just sold my POS 2011 4Runner for a 2020 Ram 1500 and love it!
I've got a 2015 Chrysler 300 that's had a couple recalls. The last one is still waiting on an evap canister from Fiat Chrysler. I bought the car with 6200 miles on it and have had a tire tpms cable repaired under warranty and the trunk emblem repaired under warranty. I've heard horror story after horror story about Fiat Chrysler poor quality and the research shows that they are not as reliable as other brands. But at 36K miles my 300 has performed flawlessly. To me the real quality of a vehicle is not known until you get over 100K miles.
I have the following:
2010 Fusion Hybrid - 190,000 miles
2009 Escape Hybrid - 139,000 miles
1996 F-150 - 185,000 miles
1989 F-250 - 250,000 miles minimum, 450,000 max (odometer only reads 99K)
All have their original engines and transmissions, zero major failures and generally very little issues at all. And all of them (including the Fusion) are used regularly for towing.
@@supersnot4 You're really lucky. Ford is known for crap vehicles. I bought myself a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium back in the day and it was a lemon. Ford didn't want to do anything- had to go a legal route. I will never try to buy Ford again- unfortunately for work, I may have to buy a Ford Transit.
My boss had a RAM truck. It shit out on him at 100k.
Dummy him, he bought himself a brand new 2019 RAM
at new truck prices only one id feel confortable buying would be a Tundra, 17 out of the most reliable cars/trucks have been Toyota... and this is coming from a GM guy, not following brand loyalty anymore thats foe sure
Mark S you can say the same for any brand
He put 100,000 miles on the truck in one year?? Well, no wonder it fucking gave up.
Still eating cam shafts.
johnnyshd nope
It has enough interior room for social distancing 😂
Let’s review after 6 years and 150k miles
Endless money pit. By then it’s falling apart the electronics
@@kevs2good133 idk about the newer ones, but my 2007 ram 1500 has 130k miles on it and the only issues I have had is the transmission slips very rarely maybe once a month, and I have had to change the fluids brakes and get the dif fluid switched out, it is a 4.7 V8 magnum however and not one of these extremely computerized engines
I have a 2014 with 122k on it. Stills runs like new and everything works great. Most vehicles will run a long time if you take care of them
@@X-l-HAD3Z-l-X Usually true. I had a Daimler-Chrysler era Dodge Truck that lasted me 200K + miles and still running as I sold it to a friend. I won't touch anything Fiat. 17 recalls? interior pieces falling off? A blind spot spotty reliability? I'm enjoying my F-150.
@@terrymeadows1827 Daimler Dodge trucks are rated as less reliable than the new ones. I've owned both. Both are very similar, and the new one is certainly better. Don't act like old Dodge trucks have good interiors.
Come back at 120,000 miles then talk about reliability.
Tundra: come back at 750k. Then we’ll talk.
How Reliable Is a Toyota Tundra After 1,000,000 Miles? Enough said...
Well seeing as the there's not a single Tundra that's reached 1,000,000 miles yet, who knows
Trey Roberts there are a few actually...all work vehicles in the oil fields.
@@XxJkatxX And how many miles a day does just driving in the oil fields do they travel to amount to one million ? LMAO!!
Just buy a Tundra and save yourself the pain of buying this turd.
if you don't mind rusted frames after 5 years
toyota is like a ww2 jeep compared to the new rams
Bought for $55,000, driven for a year and a half, and worth $35,000 (if you're lucky). I just have a hard time wrapping my mind around the idea of spending $20,000 to own and drive a truck for 18 months. That's an awful lot of change.
Mark Villano almost 2 years. Was purchased in July of 2018. If you’re keeping it, no biggie. Most people keep their trucks for longer than 2 years. If you want a truck to retain value, buy an HD with a diesel.
That’s why I bought a used 2019 with 17k miles for $37,000, plus got an extended power train warranty for peace of mind. Never buying new again
@@XploreAz Or buy a Toyota

Thanks for including the section on gremlins. It’s really the only reason why I decided to watch this video.
I clicked because I thought this said 350,000 miles. We are living in different worlds man. 35,000 is just broken in.
no one drives cars to 350... come on!
Brand loyalty is for low IQ people. All trucks have their issues. buy what you like is really all it boils down to.
MY 2019 RAM 1500 LONE STAR HAS 99,985 MILES. nOTHING BUT tIRES, bATTERY AND WIPERS. NOT COUNTING OIL, FILTER, AIR FILTER
8:12: "Let's talk about reliability."
Wow, it only took you a smidge over 8 minutes to get to the point.....
And then the list of defects.......good Lord, 35,000 and all of that stuff is happening? 5 out of 17 recalls??
DODGE.......yes, appropriately named for staying away from them.
I've had a 2011 Ram 1500 for 5 years now. Exhaust manifold bolts did break, however the truck has been hella good. Bought it at 164k miles and its at 195k now. Honestly the best part of it all is the engine. The hemi is a good engine as long as you replace the valve lifters before they become a problem.
Should also note that 2011 had like 1 recall and it was for something minor.
7500km on my 2020 diesel longhorn absolutely love it, no issues, getting 9.5 liters per hundred and drive both city and highway also little off roading , best truck ever. Has every extra in it. Including the 3.92, 22 wheels. With out them I think I would be in the 8 liters per 100. Even my wife loves it and she hated trucks.
darren cox 3500 with the Aisin transmission?
@@JpOcDenver I think he’s talking about the 1500 EcoDiesel, considering he was saying 22inch rims which are only on the 1500’s unless it’s aftermarket rims.
Those fit & finish failures are unacceptable for a $55k vehicle. Maybe ok in a $15K used truck... maybe.
Thanks. Helpful. Ram is out. Those problems would offend me.
shoulda held on to the truck, would be worth 55k+ today lol
So here's the thing - shade visors and door trim probably shouldn't fall off of a new, $55k vehicle. Possibly chalk that up to a first model year problem. I bought a last generation model in 2013 and was dreading the MOPAR chintzyness factor (childhood memories of bits and pieces falling off on mom's a mid-70s Cordoba) but overcame my anti-MOPAR bias and purchased it anyway. As with your truck lots of recalls and TSBs over my years of ownership, which I actually take as a positive. Just prior to that Daimler-Chrysler (which it was in 2013) had been fined in the US for NOT doing recalls that they should have done. They've pretty clearly toggled the other way as a result. There are still many carmakers who have issues for which the "ought" to do recalls or TSBs but don't to help the bottom line.
As for reliability, the 2013 MY was in the middle of the very long 4th generation (still being sold as "Classic" along side the new 5th generation model you have), and has thankfully had many fewer gremlins and glitches than your new model experienced. The one truly irritating issue that has affected the 2013 truck since new is a flaky 8.4" headunit; it randomly reboots several times per long trip. It's been reflashed, inspected, updated, etc., but because the dealer service techs (3 different dealer service centers) can't reproduce it, I've had to live with it. Other than that the truck has been rock solid in reliability and capability on-road and off.
Hopefully by year 3 of the new 5th generation version they'll have the QA/QC sorted out. The 5th Gen with a 3L turbo diesel, 33 gallon tank and 4WD has approximately 900 miles of range per tank. I don't consider 500 miles to be "good" for road tripping or offroading in a 4x4 pickup. My 2013 has the Hemi, 3.92 rear, 4WD, 20" wheels with D load rated LT tires (not the light weight p-metrics that are standard and are as you discovered also "nail magnets", and I typically get 450 miles per tank on pavement cross-country. It's really not enough. I like to go places with signs that say things like "next fuel 215 miles". Assuming the 5th Gen truck does overcome it's early teething pains, I will become a repeat buyer and replace the 2013 truck with a 2021 MY version with the diesel and a 3.21 rear end for range - oh and a standard length bed - the short bed is, well, too short for doing truck things. Parking in cities, of course, is NOT a truck thing.
"long term" is 150-200k miles. 35k miles isn't even out of warranty XD
Own a 2019 Laramie !! love it and no problems at all. Very comfortable ride.
How is the AC performance? Appears many are complaining of the coldness of the car AC unit.
Own a 19 Laramie.. I love it
any problems so far?

All trucks break. At the end of the day, gotta get what you want. I chose the RAM and haven't looked back. I've pulled horses in a gooseneck from Oceanside to Baltimore, from Ville Platte to Duluth and to tell you the truth it has always got me home, and that's all I need out of a truck, to get me there and back. A brand is a brand, it comes down to personal preference. Cowboy Up!
Long term at 35k? My 08 PW has 295k, Except for routine maintenance and a few upgrades its been an amazing truck. I still believe the most reliable is the Tundra but it didn't have the versatility of a PW and have always been a Dodge family.
Just get a Toyota Tundra.
Because when you're in the market for a 2020 vehicle, you buy one that's still stuck in 2010. Smart.
@@MakoCon And talk about poor fuel economy....
@@MakoCon If every manufacturer didn't update their vehicle the reliability would be thru the roof with all vehicles. 2010? Try 2007
Or now not now and wait for the redesign because that thing is a deathtrap
Is it even technically called a dodge anymore? I thought FCA was only calling the truck brand Ram.
It's been RAM for over a decade when they separated the commercial lineup from cars and minivans
I have a 2019 Laramie Sport with the glass roof and I love the truck. I have had no issues that were not recall related. My last truck was a 2016 Ram Sport with almost 100,00 miles with very few problems. I have driven Ford's, Chevy, and Nissan. Like them all depending on year and trim but Dodge is building a great product.
Ayub Fleming well said and so true!!!
And fueling issues? I know there is a tsb for that.
12:10 "Those were all outweighed by all the positives by everything else, from the interior quality..."
Dude, your sun visor literally fell off.
along with other things literally falling off at 30k miles for a 50k+ truck... ram is a fiat which is a joke, absolutley worthless
Visors will continue to be a problem unless the design is completely updated.
@@bassdaze Things falling off of Fiat vehicles aren't considered a problem, it's a feature. Gives the passengers something to do on long drives.
24K on mine, had to adjust one of the tailgate latches. That 's it!
aint bad.
i always see them with steering wheel deterioration at only 50k
Damn 2020 people think 35k miles is long term? Newer the cars get they barely last anymore.
It’s a ram. He said door trim already starting to fall apart and the sun visor fell off lmfao
Here in 2022. This truck at this year, spec and miles is around $45-49K. It went up in value 😆.
It is hard to over look that this is still an FCA vehicle. Not gonna last.
Larlos Cargo!
I’ll answer it for you. No. Especially if you make a vid at only 35k miles. This isn’t a knock on ram either, this goes for any vehicle
Nice video, but that truck is far from the reach of the normal working man... who has some financial responsibility.
That truck isn't far from reach from people..... If it were, F150, Silverado and Ram wouldn't be the best selling vehicles as listed almost in order. Now for the below average guy it might be. But average? Nope!
Bryan E typical salaries across every major city in the US is 52,900. That’s just the cities, where cost of living is high. The trim tested is far more than that. Like I said, financial responsible people wouldn’t do that.
All those recalls yet you still want to recommend this truck 🤦♂️ "endless money pits"
@Myballsitchsomethingfierce you shut up watch Scotty Kilmer's UA-cam videos
@@lordadams5762 Scotty is entitled to his opinion. I own a Toyota, but it gets pretty tiresome to hear him bash every car as a money pit other than a Toyota. Hemi's are really good engines and have proven very reliable. I wouldn't want all the electronics this truck has because that probably where the gremlins come from.
@@meatbeansandcheese So apparently this Scotty person is a Toyota fangirl-- I mean boy?

35,000 miles (56,000km) is considered long term? That's nothing.
I have a 2019 ram 1500 laramie 4x4 with the 3.21 rear axle. I easily average 16.5mpg and just recently i took a road trip from Charleston SC to Naples FL. Roughly 1400miles i averaged 22.2mpg the round trip. This truck will meet its EPA numbers.
17.5 average here my 3.92 ratio same truck was 14.5, but more of a hotrod so maybe heavy footed lol
Good timing. Actually looking into purchasing a 2019 or 2020 RAM 1500, so long term outlook was something I wanted to take into account. Thanks for the video.
Wish they’d do these long-term reviews in a rust-belt state and show us what the underbody rust looks like after 3 winters of salt.
I’d be happy to snap pictures of my trucks under carriage after 2 winters in a state that applies heavy salt and brine for 5 months out of the year. 2019 purchased on 8/18
George h the newer rams have a great undercoat on them compared to the old ones, even the 09+ ones in Michigan don’t seem to rust nearly as bad as Toyota, ford or gm from that year and up.
Jason Pritchard how is the performance of your truck AC? Issues with steering? Electronics?
ever hear of rustproofing?
I had a 2014 1500 hemi 8 speed big horn this truck has the same drivetrain as the 2019/2020 let me start by saying it had a ton of tow power but I'll say this 80k miles on it was all problems water pump went out manifold bolts snap off in the head this is a known problem since the hemi came out and it still happens. service 4wd light would come on only when below 40 degrees. I will say the truck was well maintained serviced and washed also ceramic coated. The hood was aluminum it started to corrode where the pinch is in the front where it was rolled together. This caused the paint to bubble and push up. Dodge would not fix it. According to them it was not rotted through. So I'll say this I traded it in for a f150 I'll stick to ford I had a lariat prior to the ram no issues ever and sold it with 130k any truck will last to 35k miles not a long enough review
I have a 2016 Ram 1500 Big Horn Ecodiesel with about 73,000 miles on it now. I have had to replace the steering rack and pinion, water pump, vacuum pump, brake master cylinder, ABS pump and the cruise control button cluster. The tires that came on it lasted about 10,000 miles then needed to be replaced. I will say this, the brake pads lasted for 70,000 miles, which I didn't expect, and just recently replaced them, along with the fuel filter. My biggest complaint is the lack of redundancy in the critical safety systems, such as the braking system. When my master cylinder failed, I had absolutely no braking power. When the rack and pinion gear box electric assist failed, it locked the steering wheel. In my opinion, these should be engineered better to handle failures in a default safe condition rather than a complete loss of functionality. Needless to say, after my lease is up, I will not buy another Mopar product.
I literally spit my beer out reading the title of this video! Looking forward to the second video title "Engine overhaul 2019 Dodge Ram 50,000". Lol
I gave my last Ram to my son. 169,000 miles and still going strong.
B e it would suck for them to get a long term tester and attempt 200,000 miles. By time that review came out, there would be 2 new ram models.
Vs the Ford's titles "Only 3 blown turbos at 35,000, Ford's really stepped up their game!"?

I just bought this truck (used) and picking it up tomorrow. It has 44K miles and is also a 2019. The issues that they reported by their drivers seem very minor to me. I've owned lots of cars in my life (i'm in my early 50s) and all but one were Japanese makers - the other VW. VW had lots of electrical issues for me and a leaky sunroof (the week after I bought it). The Japanese models were good but not without some annoying mostly minor issues... All cars will have some stuff come up. I'm not hearing that this Hemi is exploding after 50 K! Hoping my "new" tuck give me several good years...
I have a 19 Ram 1500 15k miles. It’s been a great truck. Sure it has had its fair share of minor issues which is why I purchased a extended bumper to bumper warranty but that’s to be expected for any complete redesign. 5.7 Hemi and 8 speed transmission have been solid.
Any fueling issues? I know there is a tsb for that.
why are you talking about basic features of the truck for a LONG TERM REVIEW you usually put out great stuff

I have a 2019 ram and the roof leaks water and ruined my head liner and my rear speakers. Its been in the shop for a week now and they tell me its still not ready to be picked up. Nobody is talking about this problem. It only has 15000 miles.
I Bought my 2019 Ram 1500 Limited in February 2019 And it’s been six months in the shop for not just the complete you have the center consul 12 inch green surroundsound not working Clunk over bumps. It was a $67,000 lawn ornament. Biggest piece of trash and I sold it October 2019 and I’ll never buy another Chrysler again. Get rid of it!

I loved my 2019 ram Laramie 2 x 4 until all the problems started showing up. People were giving me crap telling me how unreliable rams were. 8000 miles the air conditioner compressor needed to be replaced. 12,000 miles check engine light mirrors malfunctioning. It was in the shop over and over again. So when I picked it up for the last time I drove straight to the Ford dealership and got me an F150 XLT 4 x 4. Fingers crossed with 3500 miles I hope it turns out to be reliable.
Had the same issue was the seal on the third brake light collected water under the seat my ram was nothing but problems solved them though its call f150👍
Kinda glossed right over the fact that their $55,000 truck was only worth $34,000 after 3 years....
Just depends on the scenario. Most trucks normally have $10,000-$12,000 in rebates. $55,000 sticker can easily be turned into a $43,000 sale price. Over 3 years to be valued at $34,000 isn't too bad. Potentially $9,000 difference from new. Most vehicles are never going to appreciate in value so really no surprise
Have a 2020 Limited but with low mileage so I would say it is great. I would consider a new one except:
1) RAM doesn't seem to ask owners what they want to see for new models?
2) Very hard to find what I want...
3) Price gouging by RAM and others has destroyed these company's credibility
4) RAM almost had the best truck for IIHS Top safety pick, but did NOTHING to bring the safety level up to achieve that coveted rating. A very foolish move as that is the one reason that would drive me to pay more for a new model
5) RAM is doing nothing to protect us from being tracked by the government and others RAM and all automakers s/b waging lawfare on the "lill switch" and other gvt attacks on our privacy and freedoms.
6) Companies need to stay out of the culture wars and the climate change and EV disasters. They need to listen to customers.
Depends on the year model. 2003 through 2008 you can put 250k miles on one before issues arise. 2009 to present it's a crap shoot. You may maybe make it to 30k before an issue, but that's doubtful. Between VVT not playing well with MDS, and the slew of electrical and computer issues on the more modern Rams, your best bet is to buy a pre MDS 2003 through 2005 model, and rebuild it.
I bought a 2021 with 30k miles on it.
At 40k miles both exhaust manifolds had cracked. Replaced under warranty.
Wish they would just put a cheap header on them. These crap manifolds have been causing issues for over a decade now.
Can we find some of this beauty with 100k miles still running to make a review?
i mean you can find a 2010-2015 with 100K Miles running EASY, but it's just that none of the new generation Rams have gotten able to do so because it hasn't been enough time. I see SO Many Rams 2010-2015 with 100K-200K miles runnin' CLEAN.
Junk
this video brought to you by Stellantis, Things fell off within 35 k miles but they still recommend it, that is the most ridiculous statement imaginable....
First time I have ever been stranded by a pickup was today in a 2019 ram 1500. Bought it new I have 29000 miles on it. The dust that roles in the cab driving gravel roads is horrible. And now it left me a foot. Won't start. Going back to Chevy. 30 years of Chevy trucks and I never got stranded once😠
It’s almost silly to do a reliability video at 35,000 miles. The truck is still new! And most reliability issues don’t crop up until later in a vehicle’s life.
Anyone can do a reliability review at low mileage.
Not really. There are a lot of people looking for a used truck because they cannot afford a brand new one. Tests like this give them a feel for how the vehicle has performed for the first 35 K miles.. That's why they all test them like that.
So I guess we are going to ignore the stalling issues they have been having. Randomly turning off forcing you to put the vehicle in park to turn back on....?
I haven't seen a single report tied to these newer RAMs, so where are you getting your info?
Leather seats, usb ports, wireless charging, 12 inch screen, butt fluffer, etc...
55K
And no bed liner!!?
Shows you the priorities of todays truck consumers.
Chris Noblett they should come standard, but unfortunately they don’t.
That's because bedliners usually dependent on individual choice. I mean it's like a 200 dollar option ontop of 55k. If that is a deal breaker, maybe you should be hitting up the used car lots.
Ghostst who are you replying to?
I'm more into the bedliner, 2 doors, 8 ft box. I need a truck not a "Man-e-van"
@@lazykranch3205 I don't need an 8ft box when I'm pulling a 12 foot trailer.
Lol, driving around perfect california roads is how you long-term test a pickup truck? Get real!
Nytron Cal roads used to be perfect. Now not so much.
Our roads are some of the worst in the country. Far from perfect.
@@jeffmorse645 LOL, not even close. Pick any rust belt state and they have worse roads.
Everyone knows u have too many issues with ram longterm!!🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Lol @ kamper Ken. Of course they do. Ken, honestly, I've gotten to the point where I dont buy any car/truck/suv of any brand unless I have a lifetime powertrain warranty and a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. If they want your business, they will throw it in there!! If they don't want to throw it in there, then onto the next car lot . Most of the time, it's all a psychological game. Trust me, I've been to all the different major brand carlots to know!!
I’ve been a Ford guy my whole life, I am 37. Sold Fords for years. This truck is light years ahead of the competition. I find reasons to take it out for a ride. I highly suggest the Hemi crew cab. Big horn option 2 package
Funny how ram trucks hope to make to 200,000 miles and tundra trucks hope to make to a million miles.
Every review I see glosses over the nav system. It's terrible. It can't even find your house. So yeah, you end up using your Google Maps on your phone. Ok. Be nice if you could have their maps on the full 12 inch screen.
Oh shoot. Joey from friends grew beard and doing truck reviews. Right on.
Why not buy a gremlin and build a truck around it?

I have a 2019 Limited trailer pkg, off road pkg, 3.92, bought after they had been out about 6-8 months. Love it no problems except a few minor recalls. 18,000 miles. The only complaint the Falken tires don’t stay balanced. One was replaced under warranty but the still aren’t good. Will replace with Michelin soon.
I purchased a 2019 1500 Rebel last September. I have just over 12k miles on it. I've pulled a 30 foot travel trailer from Chicago to the Great Smoky Mountains and back, done some off-roading and it's my daily driver. I have to say, it does all three exceptionally well. This is my first truck and I couldn't be happier with it.
The Lama Rebel good luck if your gonna keep it for long, you’ll need it
sukhman marwah like any vehicle, you take care of it, it will last. I’ve had four cars in my 40 years of driving. I’ve gotten ten years and 150,000 miles out of all of them. And all were in excellent condition when I traded them in. Because I wash them once a week, detail them twice a year, change the oil every 5k miles, and other major fluids every 30k miles. With that I’ve never had a major repair on any of them.
Any fueling issues? I know there is a tsb for that.
None so far. I now have 45K on the truck, 9K of that towing a travel trailer and many more off-road adventures. The skid plates have a few dings, but other than that, it's been issue free.@@gtrance3567
Larlos Cargo is my favorite host
That interior puts many luxury cars to shame. Beautiful colors and combination.
without too much research there is clearly an issue with reliability. I have always heard this so not surprised. What surprises me is that US News & World Report gave it second only to Tundra...how is that possible?
I have had 2 2019 Rams. No issues at all. Best truck on the market.
I own an 18 QC 4x4 and 19 RC 4x2. Perfect trucks-no issues so far.
Is it because you leased them?
I love this truck and have been thinking about getting it as a family vehicle. However it’s hard to justify the poor gas mileage. Hopefully the cyber truck will be as nice.
Incorrect
@@Wasabi9111 You don't buy a truck for gas mileage. if that's your goal then get the diesel. You lose the power of the hemi though.
