This nidra popped up on my phone just as I was getting ready to find one for my morning practice - 40 minutes also happens to be my preferred length. I'm going through an extremely stressful time at the moment. Sending my attention to the buzzing 🐝 bee breath, buzzing along with you and doing it for 10 breaths, felt like a relief, immersing myself into it, being able to put the worrying off to the side for a bit. The following nidra felt like a safe space, an island of letting go. Thank you so much, Ally, for tirelessly providing these refuges for us. 💜☮️🔆

Namaste! I practiced at 5 P.M. on May 27, 2024. Bhramari was a bit challenging as I had a lot of things on my mind and was trying to repeat my lengthy Sankalpa, lol. I absolutely loved the guidance of observing the stillness of the muscle of the tongue and of both eyes. That was a reminder to give myself permission to let all thoughts cease. It allowed me to deeply relax and to remember that it is in stillness that all else that has troubled me fades away. What I am going to do to support myself at this time is to remember to combine daily long walks in nature with daily yoga nidras for myself, independent of others and my guidance of others. I feel calmer and clearer now and know to tackle one thing at a time.
The first part certainly helped to stop my mind jumping around. The ending with deep breaths helps to wake my body up from its relaxed state. Thank you.
Love the Bhramari pranayama at the start! So great to settle in with, I'm at 10 months after donating my left kidney to my husband, and this really helped vagus nerve recovery just now. As well as the stiffness in my knees I've been experiencing. This is my first time trying your Yoga Nidra and have found exactly what I needed to help me through this part of recovery. In response to the journal prompt, I need touch to support myself. I gently ran my hands all over my skin and gently lifted myself up (as I needed to pee). My breath is soft, my mind at ease and my anxiety is gone. Thank you Ally!

I started training for a new job on Monday, and this practice popped up yesterday when my brain was feeling particularly full. I was surprised at how deeply peaceful I felt after the buzzy bee breathing.

I like how you offer wonderful variations of the Yoga Nidra practice.
In this one, I loved the background, natural soothing sound of the rain.
I think it's more effective when the practice has a longer prelude, introduction. Now, it was through the "bhramari" technique. There must be sufficient prior time to enter this NSDR deep state. I guess it depends on personal preferences, but rotating from the one side, each part, then to the other, and then finally to the whole body, is the way.
I also noticed that at the end you added the "double inhale" type of breath. Perhaps, in a future session, in another variation, you might like to explore more on this type of breath.

Hi Ally, been listening to your yoga nidras for a while now, a few months or more & I really want to thank you as they have been helping me so much with my poor sleep habits. I did really enjoy the humming pranayama before hand (although I didn't do all of them personally as I was too tired!). Thanks so much for your wonderful recordings ❤
