Have a nice day! :D
Another Fugue ! In the style of an early 1900'a rag. I like that You are quite consistent in Your adherence to a cogent set of composition rules !
@@Geopholus Thank you! I have been absolutely obsessed with fugues for several years now, I can’t imagine composing anything else any time soon (except for the occasional invention). I can’t really put my finger on why, but it’s a strong, urgent call.
I'm totally bowled over by musicians like you who aside from Mastering the great Ancient Styles, never fail in the originality ! I am also thinking of posting my compositions (some little variations); I'm not also a Western people. These videos give me a reality check.
Anyway, Bravo !!
@@BANERJEEWB Thank you so much! (=
Please, do post your compositions, the world is the richer for any style and form of music.
@@averynhiell I know. But my style is chiefly Western with elements I like. I also plan to give them an Indian influence later on. Because I also love the culture I grew up in. Indian popular music takes a lot from Western music. I love all forms of Western music from Palestrina to Stravinsky to Heavy metal. Many of my compositions are improvised. Haven't yet mastered the art of doing that on paper/software. I respect anyone who can compose counterpoint. Just yesterday I learnt about Digital Audio Workstation. It looks very complex.
@@BANERJEEWB Mixing Western with Indian music sounds very interesting! (=
As for digitalising your compositions: I use Musescore Studio, which is a very versatile and intuitive music notation software, and free too, even though it heavily competes with paid programs like Sibelius. But of course, improvising and uploading improvised music is totally valid, too!
Well according to my experience of music, Indian and Western (Greek) music was similar a long back, then we took on different ways. Both have different ways of expressing emotion and can be heavily academic. Pretty sophisticated rhythm too, and usage of Microtones. Anyway, Thank you for your advice, I'm learning musescore ! Have to admit, this requires hardwork.
Thanks for your comments. Let's see what I can master. I learnt the staff notation, and can do it slowly. I'm also learning musescore and a free Digital Audio Workstation and often inputing the notes from keyboard. So far I've followed the approach of improvisation followed by a bit of correction. Seems it will take quite a long time. Learning counterpoint will also take long time. The result of my upbringing in India is I can follow melodies, rhythm, motivic development, but lesser strength for harmony.
Wonderful!
@@eliasadam_ Thank you! ^^
This fugue is really fun
@@sunstrumsharam5388 Thanks a lot! :D
nice
Thanks! ^^
you could also call it a jazz fugue and as a Jazzy field to it to me probably the 4/3 if I am saying that right it's fun
@@eytonshalomsandiego Thank you for your comment! Yes, it’s somewhat jazzy. I don’t know a lot about Jazz, though, so I don’t feel confident enough to call it that. What do you mean by “4/3”?
@@averynhiell i think they meant the 4/4 with triplets, because the most common type of "swing" in jazz is making the first quaver take up 2/3 of the beat and the second one, 1/3
Learn me!!!
@@OltScript313 I’ve been considering making tutorial-like videos for fugal writing. Would that be something you’d be interested in?
@@averynhiell Yes.
What on earth is that G in bar 3 beat 2?!
@@lordlouckster2315 It’s part of a ii°7 chord that is filled out in the next beat. You could also analyse it as a iv followed by a ii°7 in the next beat.
Do you have music major or are you self taught?
@@Rayenn_19 A university professor has been giving me private lessons for some one and a half years now. Before that, I was mostly self-taught, with only a most basic schooling.
tom & jerry...😂
I see what you mean. xD
