2024 Mazda 3 2.0 High Plus Liftback Review in Malaysia, Most Exciting C-Segment Car! | WapCar

- Опубліковано 30 тра 2024
- Let’s be frank, the 2024 Mazda 3 2.0 High Plus Liftback isn’t going to be a mainstream competitor in the C-segment category. Is that an issue, though? Far from it, because while it may lack some “sensible” aspects of what makes an everyday car good, the Mazda 3 is guaranteed to make the driver and occupants feel good.
From outside in, the Mazda 3 demonstrates a level of refinement and attention to detail in what makes a good driver’s car. From its punchy 2.0 litre Skyctiv engine to its driver-focused cabin and finally to the way it looks, there’s no denying the Mazda 3 hits all the right notes for an enthusiast.
Let Greg, or rather the Mazda 3, do the talking and you’ll understand what we mean.

I own one and I love it to bits. Having a 2.5 turbo awd would complete the icing of the cake.
Since 2019 but still looks so sexy, fresh and good. It age very well. While some brands especially H looks old at immediate launch.
Lovely review!
Just picked up my first car, Mazda 3 liftback. It does feel special for enthusiast like me :)
Just got my Ignite Edition 3 weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. This may not be a perfect car, but it is a perfect car for me. It drives so well, comfortable enough for daily drive, very quiet on highway drives, Bose sound system is amazing, and the burgundy seats just add a little bit of flavour to the interior. But I do think that the Civic FE would be a better choice if it's gonna be your only car.
Interesting thought on the Civc FE. Currently considering to replace my current car with either the Mazda3 or the Civic. Would be happy to hear more on that thought, do share more.. haha!
One of the best car reviews i have ever seen. The mix of art and machine in one video... Congrats!
i actually love the looks of mazda 3 so much 😊💖
Nice review from Greg ! I also liked Mazda 3 Liftback, especially in the Soul Red Crystal, always a head turner whenever I got a chance to see them on the road.
What a brilliant review. Excellent script. Kudos!
I love this guy! Like someone I'd like to hang out with and have a beer. Great review and different take on other videos I've watched on this vehicle. Thanks.
not sure i’m watching a car review or a movie on Mazda 3 😂 loving this new style of review 🎉
This video is well crafted, just like the car itself. Well done, kipidap Wapcar! :D
I miss my Mazda 3 HB 2017. Seeing this just brings back good memories. Quiet confidence for sure!
Damn, never knew a car review can be as philosophical as this. Great job Greg and Wapcar!
Man, the best Mazda car video in Malaysia ❤❤❤
Can't agree more with Greg on Car enthusiast vs love on brand Mazda, especially about 3.
Nicely done! It's a nice car! Good for you!
Can somebody tells which variant to go for high plus or high plus ignite edition
Not really have high demand on speaker as long as it is decent
Wow nicely done and great car
Nice review mate. Please do more reviews on mazdas
Impressive ending!
Can you compare with the previous model such as 2018/2017.. whats the difference
i own one & it is very true, a car for enthusiast. compared to my previous cars, this car really made me special 😊
Cant wait for their new gen! been saving up money for that!
im still driving the 2015 model.. fun and exciting as a driver
I've chosen Mazda for its timeless design, same as how I've chosen my watches and outfits. Whether I'm in denim outfit, or formal, and even casual, the Kodo design language, is seen literally riding my horse, and ready for our adventurous journey!
Is this car's colour ceramic metallic?
The look of the tail light like a pair of pretty eyes that mean business, which is enough for me to want it. ❤
I agree that the look is really subjective. For me personally I think the sedan version is an absolute beauty, reminding me of some Alfa Romeo design in certain way at the rear. However the Liftback does not really work for me especially the huge C pillar towards the end. No offence, this is just personal that I don't really like the view especially on 3:04 to 3:05.
As for the torsion beam setup, something that came into my mind comparing the Mazda 3 Liftback to a Golf 1.4 TSI R-line that was discontinued. The Golf came with multi link rear suspension managed to offer more rear passenger space, bigger boot, very quiet cabin, comfortable ride with very well tuned suspension and very good handling. Seems to me that Mazda is taking an easy way out to switch from multi link (from the previous generation) to torsion beam.
mazda 3 c pillar is surely controversial gotta agree aesthetic-wise
i own one and i can say that this car handling is smooth as butter
What color is this?
Proud owner since 2021….soulfull machine!
Booked last week already
mind to share you booked the high plus or the high plus ignite edition ?
Me too, wait two months already 😢
@@user-ec8sh7zn6m High plus ignite edition
i own a mazda cx30 but the "white led spectrum" is a stretch la bro.
Quiet confident kid thats a nice analogy.
Compare to civic FE which one is better ?
if u compare within same price, definitely civic better because it is ckd, but cbu mazda3 from japan offer better quality. and civic look ordinary.
In any measurable aspect, FE is a better car..
You buy a Mazda3 because you want to..
I am a proud owner.
Have had one for 6 months in Australia, almost the same as the one tested. Adore it and agree with your comments. I'm 72 and it's the best car I've owned since I was 17.
the most perfect hatchback
This is the car that will put a smile on the owner’s face!
Driven the older one with multi link and as amazed how well it was built
love everything about this beast except the cramped rear seats lol
Can't agree more on the 3. Tested both 1.5L sedan and 2.0L hatch, both are not perfect and are not even close to be called an all rounder. But to a shrinking handful of drivers, sitting in it and driving it, stirs a particular sense of satisfaction and will probably draw an unintended silly grin (noticed by my passenger) while behind the wheel.
I hope one day i will own this car
InsyaAllah ameen
the top speed is impressive , mine got achieve 220km/h on seremban highway .
I wish they bring the AWD variant to Malaysia
2.0 mazda 3 vs 2.0 mazda 6.. which one better
Depends on your use case. Mazda 6 is more practical but if you mainly seek driving pleasure, Mazda 3 all the way.
AT all the way !
Mazda 3 High Plus and Civic Ehev same price. Still can't decide which is better
You asking yourself hybrid or not hybrid.
Like for the same price. Which is a better choice to buy?
@@previnvinin my opinion Mazda 3 if you looking at the long term. The civic EHEV will cost more in the long run, especially when the battery pack start to deplete.
The skyactiv engine already provides the best fuel efficiency a car can give…plus bermaz offer 5 year free service…
Even if you are rich…the money you save is the money you gain
i'll take civic anytime because of the resale value. after 7 years for sure boring to use anymore. so just sell the old one and buy new car with so many new features, safety & tech. and i can guarantee mazda will cost so much less to sell at that time compared to honda.
I applaud Mazda sticking to naturally aspirated and torque converter.
Personally I would prefer the linearity respond of this kind of power train ..
I would upgrade m3 car to 2.5 if it get it gets released
7:11 the only major issue in mazda
Interior looks like the previous generations Audi a3 interior
Bootspace : yes.
I first find the interior rather appalling when it first launched. Mainly because how tight and claustrophobic it made me feel. Thanks to being used to Hondas lah.
But over the years, I find it to be so attractive and now I find myself longing for one. Too bad Malaysian practically worship Hondas and Toyotas that an affordable Mazda is only a pipe dream.
But it is too expensive
Steering a bit too big i feel. Others all 👍🏻 😊
What nonsense torsion bar for noise reduction
At least it wasn't some feminist and political bullcrap this time.
Thank god.
are we in philosophy class or wapcar car review?😂
i have gotten so spoiled by toyota now that i feel like this car would be perfect only if it came with 360 cameras and dashcam 🥴
Sounds like marketing for Mazda 😂
this is just how mazda really drives. u should try i own one and can verify
What a sentimental video :(
need to be faster, 2.0 NA is not competitive
im only have 1 problem with mazda. almost outdated design, too safe thus boring & not enough power😂
The mazda 3 hatchback looks like my dogs shit. The sedan looks much better but unfortunately the high plus sedan isn't as high spec as the hatch back.
Just don't buy 2024 mazda 3, it's garbage. Better buy o
Previous yeard models
hahaa, .. 2024 Mazda3 GT AWD Sedan (191 hp), made in Japan. Such a great car.
@user-np5nq4vv5d I just took delivery of my 2024 mazda 3 150hp (EU model) with vin number JM4BP... the car is terrible next to 2023 and previous years mazda3s. The engine sounds like a two cylinder fiat 500 when idle because it goes to two cylinder mode. It's often on two cylinder mode. 1st-2nd gear are jerky. Horrible horrible vibration and engine noise. All of the 2024s I have looked at. You're lucky because in US you don't have to dral with cylinder deactivation nonsense.
Overpriced
I would disagree total. 1-the interior is boring of a singular colour(black for easy maintenance but "old man" maybe a bit more sculptured would be atune as sporty/atas) 2-Skyactive=high pressure/high temperature, therefore long term higher cost maintenance. 3-long old outdated design contours, seeing a 2-3-5-6; any significantly design differences; should in lieu for a major design change.4-it is a so so average performing car with nothing uncommon amongst the others Eg WRX or Satria Neo R3.
refer to No.2, what u mean by high pressure & temperature? cause skyactive engine optimal operating temp is 88 degree C. i drive skyactive engine, clock at 350,000km already.. and i can say, cost of mtce are super cheap.
who tell u higher cost maintenance? its just like other japanese car.
It is high compression..
Nothing uncommon.. Toyota's new DFE is high compression as well. High compression is not the reason of poor reliability but rather how manufacturers produce their cars ..
My 4GR is also high compression and runs like a work horse for years.
Name the one with better looks and similar pricing, 166k.
@@user-fx3tc3zt8c With really a bit of top up, BYD Seal although it is an EV.
ugly car. you guys must've tried very hard to like it.
Definitely a paid review. He has done a better marketing than Mazda itself.
I own this car and its definitely just as good as he says, you can go buy a vios and cry about it (more expensive than mazda3 in some markets)
Best looking c segment. Its like totally different tier compared to civic and altis
OVERPRICE. BELOW 70K ONLY CAN CONSIDER
