Nice to see you made your own video! Who was behind the camera on this one?
@@Hi-how-are-you-today. a tripod and my dad and my wife helped film the rolling shots 😂
wish you uploaded this couple weeks earlier. i already spent 140 bucks on a trunk/backseat protector))
Mazda best CAR 🙌❤️🙌
I got them already
I think you did a great job Ian, you seemed comfortable on camera, and I think having you and mike do some duo reviews would make some interesting videos.
Much appreciated!
I own 2,5 turbo. Bought after your review) This is a great car! Gorgoeus inside and outside. Extremely reliable
There's literally a class action lawsuit for the SKYACTIV-G 2.5T but ok
@@SF.Automotive why? I live in Eastern Europe and took 2,5 turbo trim from US. FYI
@@SF.Automotiveit applies to Mazda CX5 and XC9 from 2016-2020. Not Mazda 3 which seemed to not have the same amount of issues
enjoy the Rear Torsion Beam
@@lucienl9465 and the tiny claustrophobic interior. Oh and also don’t forget the unnecessarily stiff ride for an economy car
That intro is incredible. Well done!
I used to own 2019 Mazda3 until I got 2021 CX-30 turbo. Lower the seat and thigh support all the way, and move the seat forward until your feet firmly touch the pedal and foot rest. Surprisingly, this solved my back pain issue.
Oh and make sure you sit deep on the seat as much as possible. This raises the pelvic bone as if you’re standing straight.
These types of videos are my favourite. All the videos are great, but I love the slower pace and to get your thoughts and opinions.
Also awesome to see more of the man behind the cam. Mike brings the energy, Ian allows me to focus on the details.
Combination of the flashy visuals with the thoughtful review makes this the best car channel on UA-cam!!
Ian, there is this subtle humility about this video that made me watch it a good 10 times at least. Your narration is complementing Mike's upbeat approach with this laid back style, the way you did this is like Mazda paid you to do it. We're waiting for our first Mazda to arrive in a few weeks, and this made me excited to immerse further into the Mazda ecosystem. Kudos!
Really appreciate the kinds words! Trying to get more comfortable on camera.
Haha I genuinely really like the car, we were not paid by Mazda to make this. That's exciting though what Mazda are you getting?
We're getting a CX-5. You're amazing, and looking forward to see more videos from your perspective. 🫡
Got a 2023 Turbo PP hatch with the aero kit and no noise so they must have fixed it. It's my dream 3. Luxurious and a blast to drive every single time. 🖤Mazda🖤
Everytime I hop in my mazda3, I have a microfiber rag in the seat pocket and I wipe down the piano black center lol, always clean
Great Music, Great Editing, and Great content! Keep up the Quality work Mike and Ian. You guys are creating a one of a kind channel. Can't wait to see you guys at a 1,000,000+ subs!
Been waiting for this, thanks guys. watching from South Africa!
This is a really refreshing approach. Usually youtube car reviews only have one star and they seem to be an expert at everything about cars but you bring this amateurish feel for those like us who start to notice things about our cars at really random moments, like an epiphany
First time on the channel and this is the guy usually behind the camera? Great analysis of the vehicle and all things I attest to with my 2017 3 GT. Quality content, and after the pay-per-video breakdown it was an immediate like and subscribe
thank you for making this well made long term review video and detailing all the little quality of life issues like low back pain on long road trips. i will admit, that the second i saw the tesla model s turd in the background of the video i was ready to click off it, dislike the video, click "not interested", and select "don't recommend this channel again", but you managed to hold my interest so congrats. and i also love how you compared and contrasted this car to your previous ford focus's daily driver because it helped illuminate each of this car's strengths and weaknesses. Overall, this car makes sense.
Thanks for the video I was looking for a long term look at the mz3 turbo and this is perfect!
Great vid. I must say you’re a natural, no gimmicks, no drama.
Thank you!
- Ian
ive got a 2.0 skyactiv g year 2022.. its super amazing with a 165hp .. it was built in japan and theres no problem till today . love the mazda 3 hatchback ❤
Great job, Ian. I bought a CX-30 Turbo in part because of your initial reviews on the Mazda 3, and I’ve enjoyed it! I’d be happy to see you in front of the camera again, solo or with Mike.
Thank you! Much appreciated.
dang nice car, we don't have skyactiv 2.5t options here, only cx-5 have it
I bought my 2019 3 used and it didn't come with the aero kit. I bought the pieces on a mazda supplier sites like mazda swag and just went with whichever was cheapest with shipping. I only did one at a time and installed them myself over about a year. Probably cost $900 between the front, sides, and spoiler (didn't do the rear bumper as I don't want an extra one laying around). Well worth it and improves the looks a lot. The oem rain guards and window tint really help too. Overall love this car but wish I could have gotten the turbo but it wasn't out yet at the time. I plan to keep this for 10+ years if possible as the easy commuter car. I even moved an entire 7' slate pool table in it!
Very well done! I've been waiting for an update since seeing the prev MZ3 vid and buying a 23' CX-30 Turbo. Black ext and Red int as well. I bought TPU film for all the piano gloss black, and Tuxmats of course. Great work.
This is the first video I have watched on this channel. If you didn't say you're usually the camera guy, I wouldn't know it. You're a natural in front of a camera! Great review!
So appreciate that! Really means a lot.
Crushed it. Looking forward to more vids hosted by you 👌
Thanks man!!
- Ian
I never saw a car wash that’s one-sided. It’s a good thing you backed in so you can make a quick getaway. Should things get crazy!😂
I really appreciate the transparency
As a proud owner of a Mazda 3, that intro montage made me smile
Even though I don't own or plan to own a Mazda 3, I appreciated the detailed insight and cinematography. Great work!
Much appreciated! Thanks for watching!
Great video Ian! I also live in London and own a 2024 Mazda 3 turbo. I don't have the 120+ km noise you demonstrated in the video! However, my car has squeaks and rattles near B-pillar and around the glove box area. I'm a bit worried about the carbon build-up and turbo-related issues but It's nice to see your car has been all healthy mechanical-wise after 3 years of ownership! And one more thing... I do believe your exhaust sounds much better than the stuck version! mine doesn't sound as nice as yours :). This car overall is a joy to drive and feels and looks awesome. I agree 100%
Hello fellow Londoner! Thank you!
Thats interesting about the exhaust. I haven't done anything to it, I put the microphone really close to get that sound - so maybe that's it haha.
@@ACCELER8TV Your stock exhaust also is 3 years old and has opened up a bit 😉compared to our 2024
Just a great work!! Awesome video keep up the nice work
Thank you!!
Good work, Ian! You know the formula; no one would have known this wasn't your 100th review!
Thank you Caleb! Means a lot!
Great honest review of the car. Here in the UK we don't get the turbo just the Skyactiv G 122 or the more powerful e Skyactiv X 186 bhp which I have, it was a small Mazda dealerships demonstrator with only 1800 miles on and came with the airo kit and tints as standard on the Sport Plus model, really happy with it after 1 year of ownership and unusual for me I have no intentions of selling it as it has everything I need.
Cheers.
You bring a very relaxing vibe. Id like to see you in more content. Thank you.
Much appreciated! Is that your Mazda 3 on your UA-cam Channel Banner? Those rims looks soooo good.
You did great buddy🎉
Thank you!
I'm 1 year in on a gs luxury sedan. the hatch is a beaut, but im such a stickler for rear vision.
No issues with the seats but compared to my dad's old Jetta I do find myself gasing it up a lot more during road trips. the awd version has a slightly smaller (48L) tank.
The transmission is excellent, shifts exactly when I want it to and it always seems to listen.
only minor gripe is that during crawling speed e.g., in a parking lot it jerks a little bit hunting for gears, but that's a minor rare issue.
the interior is very quiet, but there's also a light tapping sound near the back when there are bumps on the road, which just gets louder because of how quiet it is in the cabin.
overall it's pretty sweet. paying too much on the lease (got suckered into the "appearance package"), but I slam it around on occasion and it's a blast.
Would love to keep it around until I can pay for a convertible with cash.
Awesome review, Ian!
Thank you!!!
You can go in front of the camera anytime. You’re doing a great job.
Really appreciate that thank you!
I have a CX-5 with piano black for 3 years , I knew it going in ,was careful, and it still looks new ....
Great video. I noticed the noise in my Mazda around 55mph. Took it in to the dealership and they replaced the rear differential under warranty. Immediate approval for the service from Mazda. Provided a temporary car while it was in the shop and gave it a free detail as well. If I remember correctly the invoice specifically referenced a loose bushing somewhere inside the diff housing ? I’ve put another 3000 miles post repair and haven’t had any issues. Thanks for the review :)
Definitely the best bang for your buck fun car out there.
The man behind the camera is now making the review ? YESSIIIIIIR
Just bought a 2024 CX-30 Carbon Turbo with the new sand color. Interior is so nice with the terracotta inserts on the seats and dash. Got it for 8k under MSRP $29K, 0% APR special. I basically used the cash and put it in a high yield savings since im not occurring interest. Came from a 2020 BMW 330i base
Great review! When this Turbo AWD hatch was released in 2021, it was the first "economy car" I thought I'd consider buying after owning more "premium" cars for since the late 1990s - it's fantastic looking inside and out, a nice torquey motor that works great despite the auto transmission, and has AWD that I want for what is primarily a winter and rainy day car. It's simply a really nice car to be in and drive, and offers a mature, sophisticated experience unexpected from a Mazda 3.
One of my closest friends bought a 2022 (in Soul Red) on my recommendation, with the mid-40s price she paid being the top of her budget; but she LOVES her car, and really sees it a great successor to an Audi A3 hatch she used to own.
I decided to replace my 2016 CTS after 8 years of ownership in late 2023, mainly looking at cars one class down (M340i, C43AMG, S4/5) as I no longer needed the space, and didn't want to spend money foolishly. I also seriously considered the Mazda 3 Sport GT Turbo... but the price!!!! In the end, I bought a Genesis G70 3.3T AWD Sport (Sport Prestige in USA).
Once taking into consideration an "all in" cost including 5 years of B2B warranty, lower "no haggle" pricing on another 3 years of B2B extended warranty (so total 8 years), 5 years of included scheduled maintenance including complimentary loaner cars, 5 years of Connected Services (std on the Genesis vs 2 years with the Mazda), and lower "no haggle" pricing on winter wheels & tires the $20k price difference narrowed to less than $10K... but for a much more "premium" car with a beast of a turbo motor and a RWD-based chassis.
If your budget is a hard CAD$50K, I don't think you can buy a better car than the 3 Sport GT Turbo - I prefer it to any of it's direct competitors. But for $10K more in MSRP, the 2024 Genesis G70 2.5T Advanced AWD offers a larger, more refined, more "premium" car at an "all-in" price (if you want a long warranty, connected services, and winter wheels & tires) only a few thousand dollars more.
I’ve always liked the look of these Mazda 3 hatches and until recently never really saw one up close and personal. I was at the Mazda dealer this past weekend picking up my new 2024 ND3 Miata Club and had a few minutes to spare and took the opportunity to really give the Mazda 3 hatchback a good look and I like it even better than before! The styling is fantastic and the interior is really almost beautiful! It’s sporty looking, but understated and at the same time almost luxury. I have a 2012 Honda Accord EX-L and it’s been a great car and hopefully it’ll be around a lot longer, but if I was in the market for a new car to replace it, well it would definitely be the new Mazda 3 hatchback!
10:44 I'm so glad you covered this ringing noise. I had a cx30 and traded it for a 3 (non turbo though) and I noticed it after a few drives. This does not happen in the cx30. It's not too bad and I've just lived with it for now and I still prefer the 3 over cx30. I thought I was the only one googling to figure out if something was wrong.
Is your 3 awd and was your 30 awd
I had the GT for 4 years.
One thing to mention is the paint durability. The paint is super soft, scratched and chips super easily.
Recommend getting it wrapped or some serious protective coating if buying new.
Honestly this is my realistic dream car
I respect this car it's so smooth and fast and great on gas
Regarding the central armrest, notice that it has 2 options: one going all the way back and one just to slide it around 2-3 centimeters forward. With the second option, you can use it while your back seats are down.
I purchased a 2023 Mazda 3 Turbo Premium Plus awd in July of 2023. I have had many problems in my less than 1 year of ownership. That droning noise mentioned in the video was very loud for me and shook my vehicle at 68-74mph. I took it in and they actually replaced my rear differential. The noise was not fixed, however, it was slightly better. I had my subwoofer replaced and my amplifier due to speakers cutting out. I also had my turbo boost solenoid replaced and my water pump replaced due to odd chirping noises coming from under the hood. There are also many rattles all throughout the interior when driving over seemingly smooth pavement.
Overall, this car checks a lot of boxes, is fun to drive, and has a great amount of power/is very smooth. It’s just been very annoying with how many issues I’ve had and how often it’s in the shop. It’s been into the shop 12 plus times this year for unexpected issues. Not sure where I stand on this car, but it’s not been what I expected to say the least.
I own 2021 mazda3 turbo PP sedan. Absolutely love it! If it had better brakes, would have been 10/10 for me. Would give it 9.5/10 for now
Bro you nailed it ❤
Thank you!!!
I own CX50 2.5T and TuxMat floormats.. awesome floormats and I'm lucky because paid dealer price (work at tire e-commerce company in Vancouver Canada).. Love my car and love my TuxMats washed 3 times and looks like new floormats again.
Hey, really enjoyed your three-year review on the Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback! It resonates deeply with my own journey through Mazda's lineup. I started with the 2020 Mazda 3 non-turbo hatchback, which was impeccably built and ran without a hitch for two years. Wanting a change, I moved to the CX-30 turbo, but unfortunately, it wasn't up to par, mostly due to its manufacturing outside Japan which seemed to impact its reliability. Long story short, I switched back, landing on the 2023 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback Premium.
It's been a year and roughly 11,000 miles since, and I must say, for the most part, it’s everything one wants in an affordable yet sporty car. However, it's not without its quirks. For starters, the piano black surfaces are a magnet for scratches. Pro tip: I ordered a protective film from the mikstore for the center console and door pillars. It’s an easy fix and does wonders.
Regarding rattles and noises, it’s been a bit of a saga coming from the infotainment area and the glove box, the dealership remedied it, but they’re still the occasional rattle and creaks. My car too started exhibiting a droning noise pretty early on, at highway speeds and like your experience, it was quite pervasive until I got Mazda USA involved. After a thorough check, it turned out my rear differential fluid was suspiciously low. They replaced it under warranty , which reduced but didn’t completely eliminate the noise. It’s quieter now, but if you really listen for it, it’s there. (it was much louder before)
I also agree on the transmission-it's smooth yet sometimes feels a bit sluggish in adapting to driving habits, especially when compared to the dual-clutch systems in German cars I've driven before. Also, the stock brakes could definitely be more robust to match the turbo power.
And then there's the recent discovery of a small leak in the passenger top right window during high-pressure car washes, a new headache to sort out with the dealership.
Despite these issues, driving the Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback is still a joy. The handling is top-notch, especially with a few upgrades like better tires, a cork sport intake, and some aftermarket stabilizers. It’s a fantastic vehicle for anyone post-college looking for quality without breaking the bank.
I also noticed you didn’t touch on the rear suspension. Coming from a car with independent suspension, the rear torsion bar in the Mazda feels a bit harsh over bumps and potholes-something Mazda might want to tweak in future models.
All in all, I paid around $31,000 for this gem, and it’s mostly been a pleasure. Here's hoping Mazda takes our feedback to heart. I'd love to see them introduce something like a Mazda 6 wagon with the 3.3L Inline 6 turbo from the CX-90-it’d be a dream!
Keep these thorough reviews coming-they're incredibly helpful for prospective buyers and enthusiasts alike!
Thanks so much!
Good to know there's somewhat of a fix for the rear differential.
Yes, I had a segment on rear suspension but decided to cut it. They would probably jack the price up even more if it had multilink rear suspension. 🤣
Hi, have you done reset the transmission learning thing?
@@eidrag no I haven’t really tried to do the transmission reset. I’ve read on a lot of Mazda forums that some people have done them. My issue is I’m at 10,800 miles now and the transmission is starting to feel slightly rougher on certain shifts, sometimes it doesn’t catch the downshift correctly. I drive my car mainly 75% normal which is easy throttle easy breaking easy cornering and speeds that don’t exceed 70 mph. when it comes to the other 25% I tend to drive my car in a more sporty way higher RPMs that 3000-4500 RPMs faster shifting and very rarely a full throttle acceleration. Also more cornering because it is a fun car and speeds of 80mph on highway. Have you tried doing a transmission reset?
@@sammucho9262 nope lol, bought second hand but I'm comfortable with it, and I usually prefer driving with rpm less than 2k most of the time, but when to overtake I manually shift 2 down and full slam
Nice review
I have same car and 50K miles on it. Everything i agree with except for me , my brake pads are still good and i replaced 4 tires so far. New york/ new Jersey roads suck. The rims are still in good shape. No squeaks or rattles so far. Great job on your video. Pls review 2025 M440i Xdrive coupe!!!
Fyi, replace the rear diff fluid at 30K miles. Never had a sound or issue. Good luck
I’m also on year three with my 3 Turbo HB premium plus - I’m at a similar mileage and I also need brakes soon too…love the car otherwise though!
Glad you mentioned the droning/humming sound coming from the rear diff around 70 mpg. Mine got pretty dang bad at 12k miles and Mazda ended up replacing the rear diff altogether.
Man that's wild. Taking it in next week, we'll see what they say.
They replaced mine and it didn’t get rid of the sound
Great video. 🎉🎉🎉 I know that this may be asking a little too much but I'm actually a little obsessed with trunk/boot space due to I appreciate space. Can you please do a comparison with your car and another like the corolla hatch and go into depth via interior and and boot space
Thanks! No worries, our original Mazda 3 Turbo review has the trunk dimensions :)

Go Ian!!
This car is beautiful, well made, ageless design, modern, premium feel even if it's "cheap" (feels more premium than some other premium cars are, like A class), has a great engine, it's reliable, sounds good and it's polivalent.
I don't have one (I have an i30 MK3) but I always liked this car. Great one!
Tips for the piano black vinyl wrap or carbon covers also I own a 2021 Mazda 3 turbo hatchback premium plus bought it new and have been modifying since love the car
Good to know!
It sure is beautiful though, blacked out!
Good review.
2020 AWD non-turbo and 2023 Turbo owner here. Had no real issues with either car aside from a parasitic battery drain which was fixed under warranty. All the piano black was covered with carbon panels, and the gauge cluster was ppf'd before I took delivery of the car. Although mine is pretty modded so the NVH has gone up, annoyingly I get some unrelated creaks around the driver side window seal right by my head. Otherwise, I really love the quality of the car. Interesting to see you didn't have to perform the exhaust valve seal TSB for a 2021.
Hmm, I haven't heard about the exhaust valve seal TSB. I should maybe look into it.
Which Mazda 3 do you prefer the non-turbo or Turbo? I haven't had the chance to drive the non-turbo. Hopefully soon.
@@ACCELER8TV it's only performed if you can prove that your car is burning oil. Seems to be isolated to the 2021 2.5T though.
Love the turbo way more than the n/a. More smiles per hour and the whooshing turbo noises never get old. The fuel economy sucks compared to the non-turbo (I average 12L/100km) but a small price to pay to be in the more enjoyable car. I can't however compare to a FWD/manual but I wouldn't expect my opinion to change.
I had the same door rattle issue and scoured the internet for solutions... I found this UA-cam video (ua-cam.com/video/ymIz4zDFI7M/v-deo.html) and tried it and it actually resolved my rattles and you can't even notice the tape. I used about 5 layers on the corner bit (you will see in video). Hopefully it can help you too and is super cheap and easy to undo if it ends up not being the fix you need!
@@stevenlepper6774 oh wow thanks for sharing! I'll definitely give this a go.
Might just have to lubricate the seals?
I own a 2023 Mazda hatchback turbo and I did have that noise at about 5k miles. The technician found it to be the front differential or gearbox .
Another note on the center console lid. Because you have to slide it back to open, you can jab the knees of your rear passengers because of how little room there is. And after 3 years, the lid shakes and is coming loose because moving it back makes it less structurally sound.
Another issue I found is the ride. its generally good but on sharp impact, you feel weird vibrations throughout the body, and this is VERY bad on potholes. We've already had two flat tires and there a vibration from something other than the balancing.
I like the new Carbon Edition Turbo Hatchback. 👍🏾
Did you have the low oil warning .?? And did you get the exhaust valves seals.repalce if you did get it. Thanks great video
i had mine for 3 month now. loved every moment i spent in it so far. 2024 turbo premium plus hatch. white exterior/black interior. i did get an optional side skirts and rear bumper, to complete that race look.
only pet peeve, is a lack of OEM backseat protector. cargo tray is all that is offered, and you have to buy/install 3rd party product yourself. which is a bummer, since all Mazda SUV models, have a proper tray + backseat protector package.
How is the driving seat comfortability?
@@okinayom1109 personally, they are really comfy. Cant compare with any luxury car brands, since i havent driven any of them.
At least comparing them to my wive's 22 rav4 hybrid se, my seats are better. The only thing is, heated seats take a couple minutes before they get toasty. On rav4 you can feel it almost instantly. Might have something to do with different matetial (leather vs cloth)
@@andreygareev1394 I see! Thank you for your reply!
We take the Mazda 3 for road trips because we love how comfortable the seats are 😅 only complaint I have is narrow shoulder room😊
Haha !
beautiful car and i own a 2018 mazda 3. i just hate how expensive cars have become, even economy cars like this, civic, and corolla
I owned 4 Mazdas, 10 speed3, 07 speed 6, 03 speed protege, and a 02 protege ES for daily. Wish I can have one of these for long road trip
9.0L/per 100 km - fantastic! I have 10.3 - it's my best result
I got a mazda cx-50 about 6 months ago, feels very premium until i start hearing the rattling sound from the roof and right door almost. Other than that, its an amazing car to own and drive.
Just cover the piano black with ppf. I do that on all cars with this type of interior and if done when new - no scratches and looks great.
Smart. Wish I would have thought of that.
Just got the new 2024 and the screen bump really makes a difference coming from the 2020. Cons: they removed the cig lighter - so I can’t even plug in my dash cam
do you adjust the seats correctly? or are you too tall? I feel like I melt int my seats after the heat has been in for 20 minutes I love them
I have the 2023 Version of your car in Soul Crystal Red and the Bridgestone tires that come on it are made in Japan, because the HB’s are made in Japan. The tires that came on the car are a really good tire. I had Bridgestone tires before made in Mexico and they weren’t too great overall. I’ll have to look into the brand you have. I just ordered my wife and I the carplay wireless on Amazon. We both have the 2023 Mazda 3 HB except hers isn’t AWD Turbo, I think she will like the wireless device as she uses Apple CarPlay all the time. With the device I will start using it also, I haven’t used Apple Carplay yet because I didn’t want to mess with the cord!
Great video
Thanks!!
Any problems with the weather strip tearing?
If you buy a lower spec 2023+ Mazda3 (Base or S Select), that middle part around the shifter is matte black. I have the Select and I'm very happy that I don't have any gloss black interior pieces.
Lucky!!! Didn’t know that!
Been looking at this car instead of the new Prius I'm drooling over. Any special maintenance i need to know since it's a turbo engine?
At this price point, the Mazda3 is compeiting against their own CX-5, which is arguably a better value in my opinion.
Hopefully for the new model they will get rid of the piano black in the center console. Design wise there really isn't much that really needs change. Some minor tweaks it should last another 5 years 😂.
This is a practical review coming from an actual owner, good work Ian 👍.
That's kind of funny about the squeal. I live in California and something I'm not sure if it's was a squeal or a mice but moved in and I have walnuts shells in the engine bay. Never had any rodents in any other car.
Thanks for the advice about wirelesses Apple CarPlay adapter. . I have 2019 Sedan 2.0 180hp. Also 45k kilometers but I have few more complains :) Interior rattles makes me crazy. Both from B pillars and even from the dash. I took the car to the workshop to fix it but the problem still exists so I have to do it again. I have also some strange click noise when AC is on. My biggest complain about this car is road noise. It's ok on the regular black asphalt but here in Sweden maybe 70% of our roads are build from a very rough materials which generate lots of tire noise.
That noise at 120km sounds like my 2013 gmc sierra 1500 when i go from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel or auto. I hate it, but since it's finally summer I can turn it back to 2 wheel
Your car is awesome
What is the optimal schedule to look after and maintain a Mazda 3? Oil change coolant and timing chain!! Surely a timing chain isn't really for the life of the engine?
I don't have a turbo but I love my base 2020 mazda3 lol perfect economy car
the question is gti or civic SI is better that this car...?
Does the Canadian version have rear A/C vents? I do like the 5.58 seconds from 0 to 60mph though, and I am surprised how much Mazda’s interior design has improved. I last test drove a Mazda 3 hatchback in 2014.
No vents in the back unfortunately:(
Thoughts on drtuned 2.5T Skyactiv Tuning Kit ?
So you can't just lift up the armrest, you have to slide back to open?
Sweet car! I see one roaming around my neighborhood and it always catches my eye.
Link to the wireless CarPlay adapter?
Thanks! Yes, thanks for reminding me haha - in the description now too: amzn.to/4acvQRb
I traded mine in for a cx50. Just needed more room but I really liked the car.
Nice!
The thought has been in my head too - just not sure if CX-5 or CX-50. Love how the CX-50 handles.
- Ian
Do you know where you heard 91 octane doesn't yield any more power than 87? I remember seeing somewhere that Mazda corporate supposedly said the hp figure scales linearly from 87 octane to 93, so 91 would get you about 241hp. And Motortrend got faster drag results from 91 versus 87 with the CX-50 turbo. Not sure if they controlled for other variables though.
I may have gotten that wrong tbh, I’ll see if I can fix that in the video (UA-cam editor). Think you’re right.
I swear Mazda has the best paint.
I brought the manual version of this car. Think when Mazda gets their hybrid tech down pack I'll get a CX5 hybrid for city driving.
I recently watched your video where you mentioned CarPlay wireless. I purchased one myself, but unfortunately, I had to return it due to issues with lag and connectivity. I'm curious about your experience with it. How well does it work for you? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what brand is yours?
Hey - this is the one I have amzn.to/4bha9AG
I haven't had issues with mine to be honest, I use it in both our Mazda 3 and Focus. I don't notice too much of lag - no worse than cars that have it built in. We've had a couple press vehicles where the wireless CarPlay is quite bad.
Weird it suddenly says unavailable on the Canadian Amazon Store but is available on the US Store.
@@ACCELER8TV Thank you very much! I'll be sure to take a look.
Could the rear differential be a lubrication issue?
Possibly. Going to take it in and see.
I really really don't know why the complaint about the blind spot on the C pillar. It has never been an issue for me.
Omg that ringing noise.. my 2021 turbo has the same thing. The dealership actually replaced both the rear diff and wheel bearings under warranty and it’s still there
Wow, and did it help!? Taking it in shortly to have it looked at!
