This group started out as just a group of divers, who enjoy diving, cleaning out waterways by pulling out cars, until one time they found a body in one and they never looked back. Kudos to them! They often find cars in places previously "searched," so they don't consider a place searched until THEY search it. They often get harassed by ego driven "law enforcement," also, unfortunately, but not in this case.
What? I don’t understand the harassment? These guys are helping and getting results!
@@khatzeye They get harassed because they're actually working and not wasting time, and LE gets butthurt when regular people like these guys show them up. So happy that they're out here making a difference. They should get compensated for their time.
@@khatzeye they are usually harrassed on real old cases. ive seen the videos and its frankly vile. but AWP always handles themselves with grace, and professionalism and are their for the families. i cried when i heard they were coming to look for kiely because i kno=ew, theyd find her if she was in that water. this is the first active case theyve done as well. the rest have been cold cases.
@@Chaeya yea they get real butthurt. i dont remember the case, but there was one where the cop basically told then, i personally have searched this area, its a waste of time get outta here. they searched, and found the car within an hour. LEO was reprimanded for that case in the aftermath somehow. i cant remember exactly.

I have seen them find missing people inside their submerged vehicles, people who have vanished 20yrs ago! SUCH IMPRESSIVE & EMOTIONAL WORK!
It's shocking to hear about the huge number of people who go missing, yet all it takes is a car accident in a water surrounded area to make someone & their car disappear under water for years ... or possibly forever if the families don't ask this AMAZING TEAM for their professional help.
They are a God sent, wish we had people like them in Ireland.💙
I’m grateful for the volunteer dive team! They are seriously changing the world in a new way. So many cold cases they can solve. It’s really sad that they had to get prepared for finding a missing teen but at least they might be giving closure to a suffering family. I really prayed for the missing teen to be found but I still have hope it’s not her even though they found her car 😔🙏🏽

i had a very bad gut feeling about her whereabouts ever since she went missing. adventures with purpose confirmed that it was Kielys body on twitter. very sad, even sadder knowing someone HAD to have known SOMETHING being as there was 200+ people present & never came forward.

Absolutely... have seen them on a 20yr old missing mother & child case ... they were quickly & swiftly found submerged in their car in a river.

It's really amazing that AWP started out with the plan to just remove vehicles from the water to help clean up the environment but found a couple of missing people's cars and changed their focus to help search for missing people. Thank you AWP, you guys are awesome
The group actually started out with their founder, Jared and his teenage daughter, diving to clean up areas in the Oregon rivers - finding things like sunglasses, phones, plastic items, etc. Then Jared and another driver dove in other areas (under bridges where people throw things off, were the best locations) and found safes, guns and other items of interest - they call law enforcement when they find any guns in case they were involved in crimes. From there, it moved to removing vehicles from the lakes and rivers on clean up missions. One day while they were pulling a car up the ramp with a wrecker, Jared spotted a body in the vehicle and all he could shout was, "Call the cops! Calls the cops!, Whoa, whoa! Call the cops!". They tarped the car to cover the body (out of respect) and called local law authorities who sent their forensics team and took over removing the car and releasing the body to the corner. From then on, it seemed these body recovery cases became their mission.
Please don’t let your friends drive under the influence! This could have easily been prevented. Thanks to this amazing group of divers who found her.

When I heard that her friends left her behind, my heart dropped. You never ever leave a friend behind on their own, especially after drinking. No matter how much they say “ just go, I’m fine”
I had a very close friend try and do this to me. After an hour of going back and forth I finally convinced her to come with me. She went to the bathroom, I told her that I’ll bring the car up. I was waiting and waiting. Finally I got out to look for her. Even had the bouncers helping me. Found her drunk self making out with some random guy from earlier. He was insisting he’d take her home and I’m over here telling him Nooooo, she goes home with me. She passed out in my car on the way home. Told her the whole story on the way to get her car the next day. She didn’t remember it happening. So many scenarios ran through our heads and I would of never forgiven myself if something happened to her.

She may be drugged or killed. Perpetrators may have left her in the car and have it dumped there. It seemed very weird that the path of the car is driven by a person under influence as it is straight without any hits from the road fence, trees or any objects nearby.
@@jpz6768 If you watch a lot of Adventures With Purpose vids, you'll see this is super common. Kiely thought she was on a through road & didn't realize she was driving straight into a lake until her car was already in the lake. Her momentum took the car far enough out ppl from shore couldn't see it.
It absolutely infuriates me that AWP have to do these things because the police refuse. They have found so many people where families have begged police to simply look in certain spots and they won’t even do that. Good on AWP for having the hearts to do these things for families.
Please keep in mind it isn't always about local police refusal a lot of the time. AWP has developed a strategy and learned to make use of stellar equipment that sadly, a lot of local law enforcement don't have the man power & technology or the training. So many LO are bound by funding and can't begin to do what AWP have been able to accomplish. We need to fund our local law enforcement better and help them get the training and equipment. @@KellysCreativeDreams While I agree with most of what you said they’ve put out multiple videos where they go to do it and the police come and take over and if they’re rushing to take over only after they’ve already been made to look like complete morons because a UA-cam channel is doing more than the police then they could’ve done it from the start. But I agree most police aren’t equipped. But the ones that are and still refuse to do their job after families beg them it absolutely disgusts me. Then they get mad at AWP for even being involved.
Well when you look at those $120,000 sophisticated GMC pirate ships sitting all over the country's highways with the radar capabilities of a fighter jet it appears to be a priority issue more than a funding issue. You can buy a boat and outfit it with the same equipment Jared uses for 1/5 of what one of those Suburbans cost. The boat isn't out generating revenue from victimless crimes for the state and police departments. They can afford it, they just don't prioritize it as being nessisary. Usually when a car goes into the water people witness it happening so they know where to look.
I think this is a travesty. A drone in the sky could see the car.
@@apextroll only if the water is clear enough to see to the bottom. A lot of rivers and ponds can be murky making it hard to see. One episode of AWP explains this.
Man that reporter hit it on the nail. 20,000 hours and only 30 for a dive team. I’m just baffled it took the investigation team this long before attempting a water search. An underage teen missing after drinking around a LAKE would’ve been calling this team or a team in general a long time ago.
ALL Search & rescues need to call this Team first before wasting countless hours and man power.

I am grateful for what they do for the families, but they are not doing this all for free (which isn't problem.) They have a super profitable channel, and every success they have helps with it. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't get their own TV show somewhere to go along with it.

wow, when she first went missing someone commented that she likely was drunk driving and ended up in a lake because it's really unusual her car still hadn't been found. I can't believe this person was right.

They solve 1 cold case a month, very impressive team. It's good they don't allow the local "experts" to taint what they do. I'm sure if left to the local cops this would have remained a cold case for years.
The cops don't have the same technology to work with. You know how they get that technology? Funding. You know how they get that funding? Taxes. If we want the police to have the same resources to work with, the public has to pay for it. AWP is a private group. They make money off their youtube channel, and, I assume, probably donations.

why is no one asking the real question here ? why have police have spent 22,000 man hours looking far and wide, when these guys found the car 100 yards from the campsite and within just 30 hours ?

Given the car was flipped upside down I think foul play highly unlikely. Not flipped, you could perhaps wonder if someone helped it into the water. But flipped makes it fairly certain it was an accident outside of a Bond movie.
@@lolawants2008 As the car is sinking you will be unable to roll down the windows or open the doors due to the water pressure and this can happen before you know it. Then you car is floating on the water and once a vehicle sinks it may turn sideways or upside down. My dad's always had one of those window-breaker devices because of paranoia about this exact scenario. It can happen before you know it in the dark.
She was chosen of many individuals to get drugged and taken advantage of with drugs. She got dead by a couple of evil people.

You have got to be ******* me. How do Adventures with Purpose once again top our government for this? They literally have upper-end sonar and some diving experience. Weeks looking for this girl and these guys found her in days. I do appreciate them doing what they do, but holy crap, please start helping law enforcement by documenting how this actually works for you and sharing them. I am 1000% good with some funding going to pay for the services, but there is no way some guys in campers with fish finders should be this good at this while the people paid to find people are not.
You hit it. We need to help our local law enforcement get funding/ training they need. Most of the time it is about the lack of funding and training. Think what they could do with the funds spent on all those hundreds of hours LO in getting the necessary training and equipment.
A lot of their success is the on-the-job training. They have learned how to recognize buried vehicles, upside down vehicles, etc. That's what they are passing on to other volunteer dive teams to be able to do more searching. I think they said in other videos that they are willing to help train LE dive teams how they set up and do their searches. But LE has to commit to maintaining training of the skills. They do this so little, they would have a hard time keeping sharp. AWP might be in the water 2-3 days/week. Their eyes are trained to quickly tell what is and isn't a vehicle.

AWP a volunteer organization, takes 30 hours and finds her and her vehicle. That's quite telling and shameful for the so called "pros."
Big question at hand though -
Where is her phone? And will it line up times with the report that will eventually come from the autopsy?

Something does not add up. A person under influence may have not have a straight path in plunging a car. The car path is so smooth the objects and trees nearby were not hit or had scratch. Cops gotta make sure that no one staged her death. She may have died from an overdose or foul play and just place inside the car.

I met and talked to adventures with a purpose guy one time. We were swiming told him he was starting to make police departments look bad, he was very modest saying his goal wasnt to do that he just wanted to help. He's a good guy but has a very serious type of personality

I've been following those guys for a while. They're the real deal. Getting out there and finding missing people. Like they said 23 in 2 years that's amazing for one small team. Some cases are people missing for decades.
When Kiely first went missing, as soon as they said there was no sign of her or her CAR, I knew she was in the water. Kudus to this incredible dive team for searching for her. It is a sad conclusion, but hopefully gives closure to her family.
AWP is such a wonderful team, ❤️ great work. Kiely died and that's so tragic, nobody looked after her or saw her drive off? Tears for her, beautiful child.

@Kottonstream, LE misses a lot of cars in the water, they said they have searched. AWP comes in and they find them.
I would definitely recommend going and following the Adventures With Purpose UA-cam channel. These guys do incredible work bringing families and communities a little closer to getting the answers they need and bringing lost people home.
It's sad that this case has ended the way it has, but I think most people understood that this was how it would end. The question I have is why the Police seemed to follow all random leads except the most logical one.
