    Hey Marty, I just bought a beautifully kept 2011 ES 350. 21,400 miles on it. It has been my grandfather's but he hasn't driven for a while. I am very fortunate to have come into this museum piece of a luxury sedan, especially at the price I got it. I'd like to upgrade: headlights, rims and tires (already found the replacement screen) where can I locate some of these parts? Thanks! Rick

    Is there more than one abs sensor that is in the car? or is there two separate abs sensors in front and passenger side ( so one each wheel) , I’m coming close to replacing all my brake and tires sensors and would be helpful to not buy two if I only need one. Thank you!

    • @MartyMotoring

      I think the new ones are a little heavier and geared differently but similar performance overall

    My problem is that ABS and VSC were still working fine with the old bearings that were starting to grind, and a few days after replacing them suddenly I have ABS light on and Check VSC for no apparent reason that I'm trying to figure out. Hoping that I didn't get a defective new hub sensor but until I have a scanner that can read ABS I have no idea what the issue could be might not even be the wheels.

    Funny thing is, the sensor alone is twice as much price wise compared to the whole hub bearing. It's a no brainer to just buy the whole hub bearing assembly.

    My VSC light comes off and on. New coil packs, spark plugs and about 90% new vacuum hoses. My traction control light doesn’t even work or come on when I push the button.
    What is going on with the VSC light coming on every now and then and going off after few hours or soon when I turn car off and starting it up again(VSC goes off!)
    So confusing???

      My state was locked down since early March and we just opened up with guidelines. More testing is available, and masks are required everywhere but outdoors. But our state (PA) is doing well, over all. The virus won't go away, but we've survived after 3 months so far lol.

    • @csn6234
      @csn6234 4 роки тому +1

      @@MartyMotoring Marty, I'm not calling you out personally. I'm bothered by this rejection of science by a vocal minority of Americans, who refuse to wear masks and/or socially distance solely on the grounds that it infringes on their "rights". If these people didn't act so selfish and instead accepted the fact that we will have to make some sacrifices in order to eradicate this virus, then it would be gone (at least from the United States) much quicker. Look at New York City, for example. They made huge sacrifices and the rate of infection there is actually declining -- not even rising slowly.
      I want to enjoy the summer as much as anyone else. And now I have to be concerned about whether my 6-year-old son will be going back to school in the fall or be doing remote learning again.

    • @valdaviper1
      @valdaviper1 4 роки тому +2

      @@csn6234 I don't disagree with you. I went to this and it was clear a few didn't social distance while majority of others did. Personally I didn't hand shake or hug anyone and stayed at least 5 ft from people(having a dog on leash helps). Vast majority didn't wear masks as we were outside but they did social distance. It was also my first meet since this all began as PA and MD only recently started progressively scaling back the shutdowns. Numbers will go up with more testing available, so we have to keep an eye on the hospital numbers and total death counts(which are alarmingly higher than past few years). I think we've also seen more data on easy recovering and many sub 50 year olds recovering with ease, so tensions are not as high as they were in March/April/May. That being said, I think huge groups in small indoor spaces is the main cause for concern so I would prepare for remote learning if you can. Personally I think the US should have had a strict full on shutdown for 2-3 weeks in March with more strict testing of incoming by plane and been done with it, but that would never happen here.

    • @csn6234
      @csn6234 4 роки тому +1

      @@valdaviper1 Great points, and I have the same perspective. The one thing I want to point out is the public's focus on the low mortality rate of this virus. That's not the issue. The concern among doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters, and hospitals is the strain on the nation's healthcare system. Look at how few ICU beds there are in Texas and Arizona. Remember how bad things got in NYC in April? They had to build a field hospital in Central Park. Ventilators were scarce. All because people refused to wear masks, socially distance, and stay home. Marty is a good guy and I don't have a problem with him. I just think now is not the time for people to be doing meet-and-greets.

      @@csn6234 and now 2 years later over 99.9% of us are still alive. Much of the hospital stuff was overblown and that emergency hospital that they built in McCormick Place in Chicago ended up seeing like 12 patients and turned into a massive money laundering scheme from the taxpayers instead. I have family who worked in the hospitals around here who were admitting to me back then that they never got close to being overwhelmed despite what the state and media claimed and I saw it myself in the FOIA data I pulled before the state started refusing to answer requests anymore.
