Which type of color tint are better achrilc or urethane? I would like mix to create ral 6014... Someone can help me for a good brand of tint to use? To find and buy online possibly... Thanks in advance👍
Question I already have my truck bed rhino lining already done black but I wanna tint it all red I bought like two full size raptor bottles with the hardener. What are the steps far as using the raptor with the hardener spray the bed and use the tint by itself to get the entire truck bed victory red color. I thought you put all of it together but the tint never turned the black linear red at all so I'm guessing it doesn't mix with the raptor linear and hardener
Hi I bought a raptor kit with spray gun the gun did not come with the pressure gauge like in video. Was it supposed to? if not where do I get one? Thanks
Hi Chris, quick question. You mentioned using 100ml (3.4oz)of tint to the bottle first then hardener and shake. Will there be enough room to add entire can of hardener? Thanks!
Hi John. Urethane tints are recommended. Tip is if you et it mixed for you, ask for no buffers or binders to keep it 100% pure. You can only add 10% into the tintable Raptor Tintable bottle so keeping it as pure as possible is key.
My bother in law wants me to do this his fuel tanks on his semi, what are your thoughts on how I should prep the tanks for this. He wants to do the front and about 8 inchs of the bottom
Depends what the tanks are covered with... if they are uncoated metal like aluminum for example... you need to scuff the surface, clean and hit with U-Pol #8 acid Etch... 2 coats of #8 then Raptor away. Hope this helps.
Doesn't help a layman home sprayer on bit, quantities and methods needed. All you have posted here is a puff piece for your own product/service 😤 useless
I prepped the surface with a DA sander, then sprayed it with cheap primer from a rattle can. Then Shake it up for a minute, (not that dirty boy ! The Raptor!) You need to mix 100 Mils of colour first in a large mixing jug with one bottle of Raptor. Give it a good mix. Then pour 250 mils of hardener into the empty Raptor bottle and give it a good shake to get all the Raptor out then pour it into the mixing jug and again mix well. Pour it back into the Raptor bottle. Set your spray gun at around 60 Psi. Screw the spraygun onto the Raptor bottle and Spray away. Spray from about 2 foot back. I have to admit a few hours later it looked crap but the next morning was really good.

It’s only necessary if you want to control both pressure out of the compressor and pressure at pistol entrance. But it’s not required

isshinryu11 you only use 250ml of hardener not the whole can
Is the tintable as good as just the plain black
Yes it is.. only difference is that Tintable's colours are unlimited.
What do you tint with? Automotive paint?

can I thin the raptor and use a regular spray paint gun?
They recommend up to 20% reducer and a 2.0 tip on the hvlp gun.
@@johncampbell4923 thanks a lot. apreciatted.
What kind of tint should be used? I’ve read a lot of conflicting opinions. What I’ve gathered I’d urethane & no binders
Justin Baker I just did mine with urethane and no binders, came out perfectly

panget
line-x is the best!!!!
What method should I use to have a more grippy texture. I'm using it on the floor of my boat and want to have a non slip surface
What did you thin it with to shoot out of the low volume spray gun ?
reducer
