Be careful about the gender of nouns. It is importnat to know them because the word TO or the PERSONAL PRONOUNS like HIS, YOUR, THIER.. are following the gender of the main noun.

There is a mistake in exercice #4, sentence #13 : it's "naše fotografka" instead of "moje fotografka".
These lessons help me a lot. But now I am consused. according to me you mix up the Czech and English 'my". Excercise nr 5 answers sentences 2, 3 and 4. My apologies, if I am wrong. Just want to help...

Hi Kateřina, I think you confused the Czech "my" ("We" in english), to the english "my". So that, I discovered 4 possible mistakes in the answers :
* exercice #4, sentence #13 : it's "naše fotografka" instead of "moje fotografka"
* exercice #5, sentence #2 : it's "naše hočka" instead of "moje hočka"
* exercice #5, sentence #3 : it's "náš doktor" instead of "můj doktor"
* exercice #5, sentence #4 : it's "naše." instead of "moje."

Jeho přítelkyně se jmenuje Barbara a jeho dcery jmenuju se Tinkara a Petra. Jejich maminka jmenuje se Alenka. Petra má psa, který se jmenuje Skip. Naše babička se jmenuje Frančiška a je vdova. Její manžel jmenoval se Alojz.

The issue here is that in the breackets there is (MY) but careful it is in Czech na MY in czech means "we" so the answer is OUR TAXI, OUR PHOTOGRAPHER, naše taxi, naše fotografka.
It probably happened that you saw MY and though it is the English word "my". But careful, all words in breakets are in Czech in this exercise.
Does that make sense?
ona can be both describing singular and plural, so how do we tell the difference? dekuji.

The difference has to be deduced only from the context but the pronoun is usually connected with a noun so usually it is easy to say thanks to the noun. For example:
ona je - she is
ona jsou - they are
Moje rodina je malá. To je moje maminka Suzanne a to je můj manžel John. Jsou z Ameriky.
Perfektní!
Moje maminka je z Ameriky
Exercise Number 4. (my) taxi should be naše taxi or moje taxi?
(my) sestra should be naše sestra or moje sestra?
Please explain the reason aslo. As per your given table it should be "naše" but in your answer it is written "moje".

The correct one is: Ten mýval je můj.
When you want to specify and say "the/this" (i.e. this racoon is mine) then you use the pronouns "Ten/ta/to" based on the gender of the noun (mýval is masculine so you use "ten").
If, however, you just want to say "it" (i.e. it is a racoon) then you use the pronoun "to" which doesn't change based on the gender (To je mýval) :)
Does that make sense??
Exercise Number 5.
Čí je ______ telefon? Answer should be "Čí je ten telefon?" But your answer is "Čí je jeho telefon?"

You said "Cvičení jedna". Cvičení is Feminine or Neuter? Please explain.
Cvičení is a neutre. Although, in this case the word JEDNA is just a "name" of the specific exercise. It means Exercise Number 1.
If you would like to say ONE EXERCISE you would say JEDNO CVIČENÍ.

Hi Vishal, great question! There is a big difference between the use of the pronoun TO. I will try to explain here very simply and if it will be needed i will make a super fast video on this topic.
TO is used in Czech as a word that can be translated into English like IT. And it can also mean THE. So it pretty much has two meanings. :)
I will try to explain here simply with en English example:
It is the house. - To je ten dům.
It is the family. - To je ta rodina.
Does this make sense? Not easy to explain just with a few lines here in the comments.. if you are still confused let me know and I shall think of a short video to make later on. :)
